a way that i like to do is to use a green kitchen scourer pad to give them a quick scrub under running water and find it to be quick and cleans them really well
It’s heartbreaking to see how hat’s happening in Australia.
I hope you, and all of your loved ones are all safe.
Love and spuds to you both. 💚
A proud mother! ❤️ That potato cleaning idea was too funny but effective! Love your hair like that Mandy! 🥔🥔🥔
Feel for you all...we live in northern Ontario Canada and last year we had fires for most of summer...very serious for breathing issues...
I’ve never seen potatoes that are already cleaned where I’ve lived in the US. Some varieties with very smooth skin come much cleaner naturally than the russets do, but I don’t see them labeled as “cleaned.” That drill idea is cool, but I don’t think I’ll be trying it. 😂 I usually take whatever potatoes I’m planning to cook and put them in a big pot of hot water and just let them sit for a while. Then when I scrub them it’s a lot easier. Much of the dirt has already come off and the remainder has been loosened.
I’m so sorry about the bushfires. It’s so terrible. Sending rain thoughts.
That’s too funny. I’ve seen people clean potatoes like that, still hilarious 😂
Great video! Very funny!, Love your Mum Andrew, and she has every right to be very proud of you!! Mandy you are glowing, looking beautiful, even after your yoga workouts 😀👌🏻🌱🌱
Love your mom Andrew! Thanks for sharing!
That potato cleaning demonstration is one of the funniest Things I have ever seen! :-) LOVE it!
That gadget seems to work!
Beautiful family! I pray Australia recovers quickly from the fires.
so wholesome i love it
I love your Mother, she’s a hoot! You have a lovely family, your so blessed. Now I just need to invest in a cordless drill lol AND a toilet brush of course 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
do it!
Absolutely real and hilarious...
Thank you for just being you and having fun and sharing your personalities and ideas with us you're great moms are great 2
What an awesome idea! Great way to save money :) looks like I’m going to go buy a toilet brush hahaha
have fun!
hey, one thought, why not put your potatoes in the top rack of a dishwasher? A quick clean cycle? Keep up the good work...
it would still get the finishing stuff on them, don't want to eat that
I clean mine with stiff cleaning brush as well...not kitchen accessory but bathroom as well!
Been thinking heaps about you guys over there we have a brother and his family living in Sydney and wish they would come home to NZ! Although even here we are getting smoke drifting over the Tasman! Both you and Mandy have lovely skin glowing in fact ( go potatoes! !). Love your Mum Andrew so great to see her huge love for her Son!!
Incredible, the smoke has even reached south america
I like your Mom's glasses frame
she's got style!
I buy some of the dirtiest potatoes!! I soak them for a bit to loosen up that dirt then scrub with a cloth. A brush is a great idea but I likely won’t use a drill. Thanks for the idea tho
I used a scotch brite.
That is awesome, I hate cleaning potatoes so yes now we can buy bulk ones which are usually mucky. And cheaper. Thanks guys. Happy New Year. 💕👍🥔
Im on day 2 👏👏👏 up the spud 👍👍👍 I buy clean potatoes b because i dont own a drill 😂 you guys have inspired me so much, im 46 , 154cm tall and I weigh 100kg 👎👎👎 my knees are feeling it and my sleep is now affected by my weight, as in i snore now when i never use too. Ive been paleo, and up until 1.5months ago i was half vegan for 6 years, so converting wad no big deal for me, but now im 100% plant based. ( your mum is so cute ❤ ) thank you for your knowledge and support, you guys are awesome. Oh p.s im sorry but the best dpuds come ftim Scottsdale here in Tassie 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Great job! Keep in touch and let me know how you go!
The "toilet scrubber" out of my Comfort zone I just wash and hope baking or boiling's gonna kill any bad stuff
i so feel for you guys...fires in california are severe lately.
Hey mate, you could get IG Nobel prize for that !.
haha that would be an honour... I guess? ;-)
@@SpudFit ...or TM that 'technology ' ......
LOL! I love it!!! Thank you! 😂😂😂😂😂
Moms are Awesome:-)
Do you guys still take vitamins when eating potatoes only? :) very inspired to give it a go myself! Thank you!
only B12. Let me know if I can help
Spud Fit thanks so much!! Appreciate it :)
Thank you for you caring and phenomenal videos. QUESTION - are you not afraid at all about the potential health hazards of air fried food?
Not afraid at all. I don't know of any evidence that there's any problem with t at all.
Spud Fit thanks so much for getting back to me. I’d heard about this concern with air frying and I wanted to know your gut feeling on it. When you have a few minutes, you may either find this video I found interesting or totally dumb; ua-cam.com/video/CA1bOZrjrBQ/v-deo.html (please let me know what you think - it’s about the possible danger of air frying).
I need the exercise..I’ll do it manually...hahaha
Holey-Smholey...😆
So sorry about fire smoke -- I donated 100 and Mark in dollars to help those poor koala says the animals that are being burnt to a crisp it's so sad and I know people are losing their homes it's overwhelming and environment look at that anyway thank you for sharing wishing you all the best in Australia from Brooklyn New York
thankyou, amazing!
I also buy them already clean
Does it not damage the drill?...water?
nothing electrical goes in the water
What about peeling them?
That's the next trick to work out.
Try Carisma brand from Coles !.
love them! I've been to the farm where they're grown.
@@SpudFit Woollies sell 2 similar brands ..
Frank's is best!
haha yes!
Are you ok? You and your family? I see horrible fires there
we are safe, thankyou
@@SpudFit Thank God, I'm praying for everyone there.
did you have dental issues on vegan diet ?
Actually when I wasn't vegan I had terrible issues with my teeth but I've just been for a checkup after about 17 years ( been vegan for about 15 years) and I literally had NO tooth decay!!! I was thrilled and so was my bank balance!!
@@stephaniebourne8243 ok thats good. i had opposite experience. when i added bit of dairy such as yoghurt and butter back my tooth pain reduced a lot
No. Been vegan 14 years now. Dental issues most likely unrelated
@@SpudFit ok actually my tooth pain healed when i added butter some yoghurt
If b12 is in the dirt on the potatoes why would you clean them and then go buy b12?
because I don't like eating dirt
@@SpudFit dirt is good for you :)
did you have problems with worse digestion when you started potatoes only?
B12 supplement is good too
I had trouble in the first few days. All good by day 6
