- In this walk & talk, I share my thoughts on the recent passing of Dr. John McDougall, one of the greatest nutrition experts that I am grateful to have had the opportunity to learn from. I also reflect on his incredible legacy and work, and express my heartfelt gratitude for his contributions.
P.S. Walking in a park was the only way to record this without it turning into a puddle. Gone but never forgotten. - Навчання та стиль
Dear Mary McDougal you were at his side all the way and you showed the way. Without you it would not have been a success. Your work was just as important. May the God of all comfort, comfort you.
The most beautiful tribilute I have heard to this great man and doctor. You are very eloquent and you said what I felt, too, in such a heartfelt way. I really hope Mary and the children and grandchildren hear it. 🎉❤🎉 Thank you, sir!
Thank you for listening! I don't recall if I said this during this walk n talk, but a day hasn't passed since discovering McDougall that his name hasn't entered my thoughts. Truly touched and inspired for my whole life!
Beautiful tribute to a very special man
The end message in this video made me cry. We have so much to be thankful for. And you are doing a great job Andy. Love the park!
Made me cry during editing too 😭. That park is very special to me- it felt like the right place to try to say goodbye. Feeling very grateful for all that he gave us. ❤️ Thanks, Maria!
Hello Andy, I have just discovered your content after watching your podcast with Dr Peter Rogers……
I too am very touched by your tribute to Dr John McDougall and indeed feel like he had so much more to give us and feel as though he left us too soon…..
I think we’ll be seeing and hearing a lot more from you and about you. So please keep up the good work and stay motivated and focussed on educating your public with the truth even though you will get pushback and have obstacles along the way. We all need a younger generation of honest professionals in the medical field to help us navigate a very complex and challenging field
I am a 63 year old mom of two children in their 30s and I think that you will reach a very varied and mature audience because of your honesty, knowledge and very positive outlook…..
Good luck Andy !!!!!
Hi Sharon! Thank you for joining me on this walk and talk and for all your kind words. This social media era can be harsh so comments like this make my day! I've been cognizant that at some point it's just the younger generation to carry the message forward - it just hits a lot harder with this passing. I'm definitely feeling a sense of duty and a call to continue forward. Wishing you and family best - Andy. 💚
@@bainsnutrition thank you Andy and I will be following you and sharing. Keep up the great work and thank you for taking the time to reply 🌸
Loved this. It is so encouraging to see younger people embrace the WFPB message.
Thanks Carl; McDougall's emphasis on the younger generations hits harder now
Loved Dr McDougalls mantra “It’s The Food”
I always think of Dr. Klaper when I hear this because I heard him say it before discovering McDougall 😅
Very glad your video popped up in my feed. I wanted to share that in a recent video that Dr McDougall posted, he shared the stroke as well as intense abdominal surgery that he had while younger and this was recently causing him distress.
Thanks Sherri - we were very lucky and blessed to have him 💚
Well said at the end. 👌👍
Thank you!
Nice tribute ❤
Thank you!
I personally believe he took too many of those “Jab”. He was a promoter and of the “Jab”
and unfortunately I think because it is not a vaccine, it is a gene therapy, that started to do different things in his body rest in peace.
my thoughts exactly
I am 73. I was just diagnosed with pre-diabetes. My doctor advocated a Keto diet. I am struggling with this diet because I do not enjoy eating meat and fat all that much. So, I am trying to find a diet that works better for me. I love beans. My doc nixed them because of their carb content.
Hi Beverly, I definitely encourage you to check out McDougall's website and explore all your options. It may look exreme, but just get started and see how you feel. Alternatively, you can use my website bainsnutrition . com to book a complimentary initial consult with me. We can discuss specifics and what approach may work best for your lifestyle. Thanks for checking out my video - Andy. 🙂
@@bainsnutrition Thanks for your reply.
Beverly, Type 2 diabetes is caused by a problem with insulin sensitivity. This is caused by too much fat in your diet. A keto diet only hides the symptoms by avoiding carbs and sugar which cause the high variations in blood sugar that are the main symptom of diabetes. But the keto diet is not actually addressing the core problem - if anything, because it is high in fat, it might make it worse. Eating a whole food plant-based diet without added oil will actually restore some if not all of one's insulin sensitivity, addressing the core problem. One book to look at is Neal Barnard's book Program for Reversing Diabetes. This diet is essentially the same as McDougall's diet. It is based on science.
@@carl13579 Thank you so much. I shall take a look at the sources you talked about. Got to admit, I am not happy with eating as much fat as the Keto diet suggests. Thank you again for your advice.
Hi Beverly, all that they are saying is true. Type 2 diabetes and prediabetes can be REVERSED with a whole food vegan, low fat, diet. Look the Dr. McDougall website and all the infos in the WFPB videos here on UA-cam, there are a tons. 💚
