  • "I already knew doughnuts were bad. I knew family size cheesy pizzas were bad. I knew Coca-cola was a poor choice for me. There was all sorts of knowledge that I had. I just wasn't able to put it into action."
I learned WAY more about my relationship with food and healthy eating from two weeks of eating only potatoes than I learned in decades of gathering nutrition and dieting information.
You don't need more information. Don't think, DO.
We've now helped thousands of people struggling with addictive food behaviours to transform their relationship with food through a few simple concepts of nutrition science and food psychology/behaviour change. We'd love to help you get relief from troubling food behaviours and diet industry overwhelm and transform your health and life too :)

Great video! I have been obese pretty much my entire adult life. I've lost weight several times and gained back the pounds and they brought along a few of their buddies with them, lol! I didn't know what I should do but I knew it was taking my life and that was not an option. I prayed to God and asked Him to help me find something that I could live with for the rest of my life. Well, intermittent fasting entered in. I had never heard of such a thing. Like Spud Fit says, you have to unlearn. I had to unlearn that I needed to eat every day....I didn't!!! Who knew? As I continue on this journey, I learn more and more or should I say, I unlearn more and more, lol!! So far, I have lost over 100 lbs and it's been the easiest thing I have ever done! I didn't cut out any foods in the beginning but over time, my tastes have changed and my appetite is much smaller. As these changes occur, I am able to decide for myself what and when I will remove a certain food from my life. I find it will stick when I make the decision to do it...another thing to learn...no one else can truly decide your diet for you. You need to do that yourself because if you can't stick to it, the weight will eventually come back as it did with me for decades. Of course, you can get good guidance but be sure to make the final plan yours...something YOU can live with because you will need to do this for the rest of your life in order to keep the results. Take responsibility for your own health...another thing to unlearn...doctors don't know everything, as well-meaning as they are. Do your own research, and make the final decision yourself. Hope this helps...it has certainly changed my life forever.

Great to hear and like you say, it's never too late to 'unlearn' and make a change.

    Hi Andrew,
•Thank you for this well-timed video. As you were talking about studying & gathering books & info, I was staring at my own stack of books. I also have many notebooks filled with notes, info, & recipes.
•I followed Spud Fit earlier this year (2022) with success. Then I went back to my old ways, the S.A.D., even though I wanted to lose more weight.
    • I realized how great I was feeling eating the Spud Fit way, and I lost around 13 lbs. And how crappy I was feeling eating the S.A.D., plus i gained back 3 lbs.
•Yesterday (5/23/2022) I started back onto Spud Fit mode.
•I don't get down on myself when I eat the Spud Fit way, whereas eating the S.A.D. I am constantly 'Shoulding on myself'.. with negative self-talk in my head ALL the time. 'You shouldn't eat that.' 'You should stop buying that' 'What are you doing?' 'You really want to lose weight, why are you giving in to 'fill in the blank' (sour cream, bacon, butter, chips, etc.)
•Your message is so clear, simple & sincerely heartfelt.
•I appreciate you so much for being that angel on my shoulder.
•You kindly acknowledge where we've been, what we are feeling, the ups, the downs, the challenges.
•With videos like this, YOU have become my best cheerleader.
•And, even though we have never met, you 'get' me..
•So, THANK YOU, ANDREW! for the reminder to JUST DO IT, & I will K.I.S.S. (Keep It Simple Sweetie)
    ~Your pal/mate in Pacific Northwest Washington, U.S.A.

@6:30 is so important to listen to. Weight loss and good health shouldn't be tortuous. We shouldn't have to make ourselves be/feel sick...to get well. Fatigue, pain, hunger shouldn't be the cost of restoring our health. just eat right and let the body take care of the rest :)

You’re very underrated and your message is more powerful than people think. If you focused your marketing and headlines more towards eating disorders I bet your views would go up massively. Anyhow, what you offer is perhaps the best system for kicking eating disorders.

Love this UA-cam and yeah I think of all the things here at least in the American school system we were taught that we didn't need to learn.... we're getting to the food yes I had to unlearn I don't need all this protein that America they sell us to sly we need all this protein when plants have plenty. What I needed to learn is how important fiber is and why it's so important! Fibers like a super power and it's fiber and natural states where you don't have all the good nutrients taken out and then fake chemicals to make the food last longer on shelves.... I'm so tired but that's one of the great things I love about you is you take the complexity and stress and there's way too much these days and keep it simple for me to understand. You're a great teacher and a great coach
