    So glad that he showed how to make ravioli correctly (or at least close). That other worst cooks video where she just folds the dough over was the thing that causes Italians nightmares.

    Sauce: Olive oil, tomatoes, onions
    Pasta: salt, 2 cups flour, 1 Tbsp olive oil, 1/4 cup water

      The people watching are there worse cooks, during these clips we are usually seeing the teachers while they are explaining how to cook the dishes.

    I saw a video that said it takes around 1/2 hr to burn the alcohol off when you cook with wine or spirits. Not that that's so bad... 😉

      He put the bacon and shrimp in a food processor. Also, the pasta sheets were thin. So, 1 to 2 minutes being cooked in boiling water would cook the bacon.

    Vodka: 40% alcohol/ 60% water.
    Process: Evaporate the alcohol, leaving just water.
    Effect: Makes fire in the pan. Looks cool. Impresses culinary illiterates. Does almost nothing to enhance the flavour of the sauce. If no one's watching, just toss in a splash of water and spare the theatrics, because that's all this is.
    If you're going to flambé, then don't be pretentious about it. Use something that will leave flavour, like Pernod for example.
