I just got a Yamaha rx-v383 and Klipsch Reference 5.1 surround. The front right and left speakers work. But the center, left surround and right surround doesn't work. Is there a way to turn those 3 channels on and off?
Oh and this gets a little more complicated ive found when using an xfinity flex box with my "smart" stupid LG tv...have to set the audio settings on the TV first then I can adjust on the flex box. But this reciever is bluetooth though so wouldn't I just be able to connect the TV box bluetooth or would the sound not be as good...I'm using the optical at first...just trying it idk. Oh and Damme that perfected all perfect little wiring bundle you got there, ugh I wish I had that right now cus me and my man are sitting here on the floor with wires all over and our razor blades splicing away all these and we have to hurry because it's already 11pm here and I don't wana piss my neighbors off too much but so excited to hear this set up we just got.
Those are thicker wires than what I just picked up. I am doing a 20 ft run with Sony receiver. They specified nowhere what wire/gauge to use. Any suggestion?

One thing I can't work out. Can you use this sort of system as just a sub and centre config without losing a load of sound that would be excluded for the surround speakers?

Thanks for this. Why do they call the HDMI TV Out when it's both in and out? This is really confusing and was I think why I got no sound.
Hello I have speakers from the "Elite" DVD player. The player is broken, but I have speakers that I want to use. It is impossible to find the same used DVD player and I don't know how to use the speakers. Is it profitable to buy an amplifier and connect the speakers that way? The speakers are not of any quality, but they are 170w and have excellent bass. I don't know if it is more worthwhile to buy some used 5.1 systems or to personalize these somehow?
ok but what if the subwoofer has wire connection like most of the speakrs? I have the same receiver but on the onkyo sub i have just wire connection... what do i get for that>?
I’m not quite 4mins in and I’m so confused and with wat I think I need to learn rn it is not helping me any. Between the back ends of both my new surround sound system thing and the projector the holes that can be plugged into r like 1/5th of the number. The surround sound system the main 1 has 5 things that look like breakers and a left and right aux. no other holes or protrusions. Each of the 5 speakers also have that breaker looking thing and another hole for something. I’m looking at this wire that is made of 2 wires each covered by a clear coloured plastic-like material, 1 side is bronze coloured and the other side is silver coloured.
ATMOS 5.1 ? You need a 7.1 or 9.1 system to use the height speaker. So you should be able to use just the SP/Div out from your Monitor/TV You bought it too soon i would say.
@dreamediainstalls, Awwwe man, I am so glad I found your channel. Your video seems easy but in actuality sooo complicated. I’m new to AV’s so I’m misunderstanding it’s use My friend has a: BOSE sound bar that has: A)1.S/PDIF Output - B).a RCA input #1 C).a RCA input #2 -D).a sub out SHARP AQUOS QUATTRON What I see on the back that’s plugged in is VIDEO 1: w/ R AUDIO L AND VIDEO VIDEO 2: w/ R AUDIO L AND VIDEO COMPONENT: w/ R AUDIO L AND VIDEO AND Pr Pb and Y (She has the BOSE RCA input #1 going into that component R AUDIO L AND VIDEO of the TV. YAMAHA HTR-6230 5 CHANNELS A/V RECEIVERS On the back of the AV I have no idea where to plug anything to the back of this. I twiddled around and put it in the CD in the DVD in everything I could and on the front put in the corresponding input and nothing works. I just want to know how to connect the SOUNDBAR with those specs( I have above) . Its a old one she said that around when they first came out but those are the only terminals at the back I'm confused on making work through the tv and the AV and I'm lost. Can I ask: In any case do I connect the HDMI from the AV to the TV no matter what? I see from your video the visual on the back looks so much like mine, but I can't get it connected and for the last 4 weeks till I seen this video, it started to make sense, but still don't know what I'm doing wrong. Its driving me nuts!! Can you tell me where I'm going wrong or what's the best way please, Thanks
All audio equipment is designed to accept bare wire, there is no reason in a permanently installed system to make a second unnecessary connection, peace.
not all is banana plug compatible here, only the main channels ? Sony did a bad job here, sorry, 5.1 ATMOS is not even an option..ATMOS without height speakers ?
Very good video, very informative, thank you for sharing !!

Ya so what about banana plugs? Thats what ppl keep telling me but ive acually never used banana plugs with my home audio
But rca cant carry digital surround sound only formats like quad pro logic and neo6.

And here I thought you going to show tips on pulling wires……I can read the damn instructions on hooking things up….🤦♂️
Wow poor speaker wiring connections. Use banana plugs or pin type connectors soldered to wire.
All audio equipment is designed to accept bare wire, there is no reason in a permanently installed system to make a second unnecessary connection, peace.
@@darrinsiberia well that might be true but you're DEFINITELY NOT an engineer, peace.
