Personally don't know how someone can run 702 S2 without running a independent amp and Pre-amp "receiver".. Even the Marantz 5 channel amp or if you wanna spend more money move up to the Rotel 1585/Macintosh amps. Then they purchased the small B&W center (72) instead of step up to the bigger (71S2) to match the size of the 702S2 towers! The center is the most important speaker(in a 5.1 I'm guessing). They purchased a BDI stand where the center shelf has plenty of room for adjustment to house a larger center. Kind of sad to see this nice of equipment be so underpowered and leaving so much possibility hidden from the customers ears. He already spent close to $18K what would another $2000 matter to make it sound perfect.

Those are thicker wires than what I just picked up. I am doing a 20 ft run with Sony receiver. They specified nowhere what wire/gauge to use. Any suggestion?

Oh and this gets a little more complicated ive found when using an xfinity flex box with my "smart" stupid LG tv...have to set the audio settings on the TV first then I can adjust on the flex box. But this reciever is bluetooth though so wouldn't I just be able to connect the TV box bluetooth or would the sound not be as good...I'm using the optical at first...just trying it idk. Oh and Damme that perfected all perfect little wiring bundle you got there, ugh I wish I had that right now cus me and my man are sitting here on the floor with wires all over and our razor blades splicing away all these and we have to hurry because it's already 11pm here and I don't wana piss my neighbors off too much but so excited to hear this set up we just got.

This is a joke right!!! Why cut a hole so big in the top? This can be done with a 1/2" hole using a level to make it vertical above the lower hole, Then feed some "ball chain" down the hole, and hook it out at the bottom.

After watching many install videos, including factory videos, I find that this is the easiest to understand and follow. I did have the advantage to be familiar with all the parts and the detailed, sometimes confusing, steps of installation. Years ago, I opened the wall over the fireplace and built a solid using 2x4s and 2x8,s over kill extra large mounting surface planning for larger heavier TVs. Very glad I did that!

I would do it like this except I'm having to install the speaker a bit higher than I want to and so I need to angle it down. So im using actual speaker brackets. Im just worried about the dry wall being able to hold my 13 and 19lb speakers. 😅

What about 75 inch samsung tv it's so heavy you think it will mount okay I worry it will fall of the wall or the pressure from the wall mount and tv if it leans will pull on the back the tv and damage the inside

ATMOS 5.1 ? You need a 7.1 or 9.1 system to use the height speaker. So you should be able to use just the SP/Div out from your Monitor/TV You bought it too soon i would say.

One thing I can't work out. Can you use this sort of system as just a sub and centre config without losing a load of sound that would be excluded for the surround speakers?
