Ha! You need to watch the video where I show my hair for a full week & I don’t style it daily. It’s actually a common hair type I think & it took me a while to figure out how to work with it. You aren’t a fraud lol... you are you ❤️
same but when ive been wearing a pineapple at night it helps but it ends up making the shape of my hair look really weird

I love my Trader Joe’s peppermint and tea tree solid shampoo, my fine hair look thicker, voluminous and my curls are so defined now! ☺️
This year I am only going to buy hair masks for deep conditioning and Cantu activating cream because it is my go to styler. I am working though all the stuff I bought to try. Using them up and if I totally hate it I’m tossing. The rabbit hole of products is real. I want my under sink area cleaned out.
I would love to actually see you air dry your hair instead of diffuse. I hate that all I see people do online is diffuse, but because of physical limitations, I can’t diffuse so wish there was more air drying content online.

Yes!! Sometimes I just don't want to do that or use the heat
I think it is a time issue. If I use any products it takes all day. It can still be damp in the back after 6 hours

@@ddtuss2585 Same for me, but I just physically can’t diffuse, so would be lovely to see more air drying content. I have no objection to people diffusing, but I feel like those of us who do air dry are being left out because diffusing vs air drying does affect results I think.

Yes, I bought some because she recommended it on here. I got it first from Amazon and it was super expensive and I realized they had drop shipped it straight from Sally’s beauty. And it was like half the cost there! Definitely worth the drive over if possible to save a few bucks. I love the gel itself
I've spent so much on hair products. I've spent way too much on high-end products and much less on drugstore products. Currently, my favorite routine is drugstore mousse and a very small amount of drugstore gel for a little more hold. Since starting this simplified routine, I have received more compliments on my hair than ever. Another bonus is that my hair dries much faster.

I love Ethique, used to use their shampoo and conditioner bars all the time. And they have detergent too, which is good for travel.

I also started using the Bioterra because of Susie. I now only buy the giant bottles, and it's perpetually in my shower. I have a couple others for specific uses (firmer hold, higher humidity, etc) but the Bioterra is my everyday styler. The Cantu curl activating cream, too. I had tried it before and hated it, but Susie got me to give it a second chance and now I love it.
I just restarted my curly journey and your videos have been the BEST! I refuse to use 500 different products and spend 4 hours styling. You keep it real and that works for me because I don’t have time to dedicate an entire day to my hair. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Same! It takes longer to air dry, but I get more definition, hold, and days out of it than Not Your Mother's, BTZ, Aussie, or the more expensive Aveda. The only thing that rivals it is the expensive Orange Marmalade.
Love that clip technique. I pretty much only air dry and would love more volume at the top!
When I first started the curly girl method I got this gel because you suggested it and nothing else works as good as that gel!! My curls always look so shiny, juicy, and bouncy. ❤️ your videos!
I have been sticking with simple too. It’s either shampoo/ conditioner and simple light gel, or shampoo and just curl cream. I feel like it taught me to appreciate my natural pattern instead of forcing a curl result with so many products.

Ya gotta try the bioterra mousse!! Way way better than any other mousse ever. A roommate I had in college that worked for Sally's beauty supply brought it home one day; that was almost 20 years ago now. I've been obsessed ever since. No other brands even come close to their mousse. Do yourself a favor people and try it!

Thanks for this easy sequence and showing that a routine done standing does work! I like to air dry my hair so the claw clip idea is helpful because I am not very good at root clipping. I am about 1 year into the CG method and have watched your channel almost that long. I appreciate your videos!

I jumped on the biorera bandwagon. It's the fourth gel I've tried and at the moment I don't feel like I need to keep looking. My hair is dry and I have a lot of wet frizz, but the second I put the biotera gel in, my hair looks smooth any hydrated. It's wonderful.

We love shampoo bars too. My hubby and I are both curlies and while we started for eco reasons and practical reasons, I got gifted one from my home nurse who showers me, because I have problems opening shampoo bottles, but while I loved the eco friendly and practically of if, we did not fathom how well that shampoo bar would work on our curls. Our hair is super healthy and shiny. We will not go back

Fellow curly here. Just started trying to be more conscious as well! I just switched to Viori shampoo bar and conditioner bar. They are wonderful. The conditioner has amazing slip, and they smell amazing!

I had bought hundreds of dollars worth of products from "that" company. When the claims of hair loss started I thought thank goodness that's not me. Then I realized how thin my hair had gotten in some spots and stopped using it. Now I have a halo of shorter curlies of new growth.
I've gone simple. Some variety of NYMC shampoo and conditioner and Bioterra gel. I bought 4 bottles when it was BOGO a couple of years ago. I'm still on my 1st big bottle.
You have such beautiful hair! My hair looks very similar to yours in the beginning of your video. I've learned to accept that my hair has a mind of it's own. Some of my hair is wavy and there is a nice area that gets curly and then, some parts are straight. Thank goodness for products that help to bring out my waves.
I finally bought the Biotera gel and it is awesome! Also love the Volumax Volumizing hair gel.
I so wanted to like that shampoo bar. I looked at the ingredients and it has glycerin and coconut oil. Idk about glycerin but coconut oil does no good to my hair. But I'm so glad it works great for you! You're curls where amazing.

Yes u got me hooked on this gel i love it! And as far as shampoo bars i do like them I've only tried a kind that has goats milk and i like it but a lil pricey
This one was pricy too. Almost 40$ but it will last forever & they plant a tree for every purchase. That is A LOT for me to spend on hair products but I think I’ll stick with it.

This video is just what I needed. I challenged myself to wear my hair curly every day in 2021 and was posting daily and got burnt out already. I was about to straighten it today and then watched this. Its difficult watching others use so many products at once. I have not watched your videos maybe 6 months ago. The last time when you cut your hair off. Maybe it has been longer but your hair has grown. It looks good. It always looks good. I have 2 c hair looks the same but my hair is coarse.
This method of clumping is amazing for my 2a/2b waves thank you! It's so hard to find a method not to break up waves.
I love the OWAY shampoo line. They have a curly shampoo called BeCurly. It’s bottles are biodegradable, as are it’s labels. From Italy, gorgeous stuff and Organic, so my body is not absorbing crap while caring for me hair. Of course Sulfate free!

Okay, this is the first video that actually inspires me to try this out. I'm interested in the CGM for a while, but I hate buying a lot of products without knowing if they'd actually work for me.
And your hair at the beginning is exactly how my hair is in it's 'normal' way (I've been very curious for a while how my hair would be when I tried the CGM because it's already wavy without trying).

I would just like to put out there that I work for Unilever that owns Tresemme and Unilever is actually a very environmentally conscious company so you actually can feel good about your purchase
Ethique has come out with shampoo and conditioner concentrate bars. You mix with water at home and put it in whatever bottle you want....just like the stuff you buy at the store but without all the waste. They have a moisturizing version.

I've been using that same conditioner and I put a little bit of ACV in it to water it down. I have tried different conditioners over the years and always come back to it.

Susie, have you ever tried Suave's coconut conditioner? It's pretty cheap and it's CGM approved I believe. Haven't used it yet, but evidently you can cowash with it...or just use it as a rinse out conditioner.
I don’t know if they can get that in Canada.

I LOVE the Viori shampoo bar. I’m not a huge fan of the conditioner bar but the citrus shampoo bar is so nice. My husband has also been converted

I know some great shampoo and conditioner bars!! Capra Cadabra. They are local here in TN, USA. I just started using them and am seriously blown away. The conditioner is very moisturizing, so if your hair is prone to that you just have to make sure you use a small amount. But yeah, highly recommend.

I love my shampoo bar and I honestly always get the best results with it! I get mine from a small business which makes them with the most gorgeous ingredients. We can all do our little bit for the planet 🌍

Your hair looks great. I'm in the UK and I also use the Tresemee Botanique often. Yours looked thicker then mine, which is interesting. I don't think we can get the Biotera Gel here. Thick gels don't work for me so I'm looking for something simular.

Same here! I also use the Tresemme Botanique and I’m also in Europe (Portugal) so I kind of have a hard time finding gels like the Biotera one and others that I see recommended on UA-cam. Right now I’m using a Garnier one but I don’t love it, as it dries my hair a bit. Do you have any recommendations of good gels that we can more easily maybe find here?
I loved using Trememme Coconut Botanique but they seem to have discontinued it?

Instead of the conditioner you could do a vinegar rinse.

I use defining cream instead of gel, cuz just gel makes my hair dry. And i prefer soft curls

I really like the Cantu curl cream and that's what I use. I don't use gel daily.
