      So funny a word…..like many an English word.I’m an Irish girl married to a Malaysian man…..so we have had many laughs over English words and pronunciations/spellings of the same words with different meanings…, but laughing is better than arguing 🤗😂❤️

      Once on Guy Fieri's 3D show he made it easy and pronounced it kiddingly as "Where's Your Sister" sauce. So I like saying it this way when it gets hard to pronounce!

    Dear Wally, I appreciate the suggestion for using white vinegar, rather than Chinese "black" vinegar.... Do you think that using white vinegar makes much of a taste difference, assuming all the other ingredients are the same? Its hard to obtain black vinegar & I'm definitely on a budget! Thanks so much...

    • @WallyCooksEverything
      @WallyCooksEverything  3 роки тому +1

      Hi, I believe most might taste the difference. That said, if all you can use is white vinegar go ahead and use it. White vinegar though is more sharp in taste so perhaps add a bit less. Thank you for watching and commenting. I certainly appreciate you for watching and commenting 😃

      @WallyCooksEverything  3 роки тому

      Hello Lynne, I got it at a local market, it is a 13” wok and I had to season it myself. Cost about $8 USD and made of carbon steel. You can easily find one on Amazon.com or at a Asian supermarket or restaurant supply shop. It’s not non stick so I had to season it. If you look up a video on seasoning a wok you’ll understand and see it makes the wok non stick and your wok will last forever 😁 Enjoy your pork chop dinner, if you have anymore questions about woks do let me know 😄

    Thank you for the video, looks delicious. When I was little, I lived in Hong Kong for a little while, and one of my favorite dishes at 大家樂 was a ketchupy pork dish that is served much like this - as a whole piece of pork. I'm much more used to Chinese style dishes that are served somewhat bite sized, or at least doesn't require a knife at the table. What do you think of cutting up the pork into bite sized pieces instead of cooking it as a slab? Would it dramatically change the flavor?

    • @WallyCooksEverything
      @WallyCooksEverything  3 роки тому +4

      What’s up Eric!? It’s perfectly fine to cut up a whole piece of raw pork and then cooking it this style. Matter of fact that was the way my mother cooked it. Normally I’d cut it up too. However, I cooked a whole pork chop because I needed UA-cam thumbnail of a pork chop. If I cut it up people might not recognize it as pork chop 😃✌️ Thanks for watching and commenting.
