Wonderful! This is the season for Pears. When I first moved to a particular area, the news was that an Italian man planted a Pear tree, on street side, so his wife could make a dessert. The news was do not step in these Pears that would fall to the street because they stank!! But nobody ever complained - it was just fair warning 🥰 My sister bought me your second cookbook - it was the first I wanted but NO PROBLEM! I made the outstanding sauce - that took 7 or 8 lbs of plum tomatoes and 32 leaves of Basil - growing on the outside windowsill in the City. To this day, that meal is remembered in conversation. Thank you, Lydia for your Sunday videos on PBS I remember dying for and for these UA-cam uploads. You are so inspiring 💯 🥰
LIDIA, I'VE ADORED,& LEARNED SO MUCH FROM YOU. MY Nonna passed away when I was young & never even got to learn how to make a pastas sauce. But w you I even learned to make homemade gnocchi. I live how you teach us the histories of places from dishes you make.Wines from your sons Vineyard. I'm also learning to.infuse wines into foods although I am unable to tolerate wines by themselves ( g.e.r.d.) but 👍 in foods.
Lydia has a recipe for Tomato sauce in her second cookbook. It is not difficult just time consuming. It calls for 7 or 8 lbs of plum tomatoes and 32 Basil leaves - 16 in the sauce and 16 minced. A few times I have made it and it is, to this day called out as the most delicious 😋 and I hope you can get omaprazol or use Pepcid AC chewables for the acid reflux! Pepcid AC works immediately. Four surgeries on my guts and the water like acid that comes up and destroys the esophageal lining can be controlled with these medications - plus these are over the counter. My dad lived on Rolaids 🥰
Lidia, I made this for my husband and myself and we loved it. My problem was the pork, it seemed to be a tad dry. The baking sauce and balsamic reduction helped. But, I was wondering if I cooked the pork too long? or too short. Any ideas on what may have happened? Thank You,

Coming attractions flashed on the screen covering her face at the closing is lazy and sloppy editing. Wake up.
