Today I'm going to walk you through how to use RTune on your PowerTRONIC ECU. this software allows you to backup, load and restore tunes onto your ECU. The process is fairly easy and anyone can do it. This software also allows a shop professional to build a custom tune file for you which will yield the best results for your bike specifications.
Sit back, relax and enjoy the video.

This was actually pretty useful, thanks!
Thanks. Appreciate it.
Thanks for sharing the open airbox and aftermarket exhaust map!..It runs perfect at sea level..very very grateful!...
can you share?
@@urie4769 fin KTM 390 tuning page on Facebook..it's in the download section
Awesome thanks, I’m about to order mine once they’re in operation again for my Vitpilen. Looking forward to a vid showing difference between powertronics map 2 and the dyno tune!
Soon enough. I'll be taking it on a test ride hopefully tomorrow after my Gopro Media Mod arrives.
Order now and use code bikelove for discount
Hello brother, do you have any idea of how many degrees of final advance these engines bring?
im tryng to get it for my 125, you need the same programs? is it a good investment?
Bro can we set STOCK RPM in the powertronic ecu
I've Used the power troinc for a few years now on a 2014 Duke 390, ( they are different box models ) i always thought map 1 and map 2 are the fuel 1 and fuel 2 and ignition 1 and 2 inside the pc program. don't know if it configured differently for the new models duke 390. check the open multiple file option to load both map 1 and map 2. on loading the second map you can uncheck boxes to make it either map 1 or 2 ect.
I thought fuel/ignition1 was cylinder 1 and fuel/ignition2 was cylinder 2 however after talking to Powertronic they confirmed that fuel/ignition1 is indeed map 1 and fuel/ignition2 is map 2. Each map is the same for both cylinders, so when you receive the powertronic ECU installed map you do download both maps 1 and 2. Hope this helps.
Your videos are awesome ! A request: can you please share a similar video on removing/adjusting the revlimiter on ktm 390 using the R-tune
Its pretty easy. You just go into the Config tab and type in the number you want your RPM limiter to be set to and then burn it onto the ECU
@@MotoMedicine904 Thanks a lot for the response ! A couple more questions: 1) In your opinion, Best ideal value to set the rev limiter when running base map1 / 2nd base map. 2) I have stock bike + powertronics ecu+ k&n air filter, so can you recommend the best map for my setup ? Asking this as I heard a lot that using k&n air filters impacts the air intake I guess
Either one of the base maps will run just fine with those mods. Map 2 will have slightly more power due to an aggressive timing advance vs map 1. They should both already be set for 12000rpm rev limiters by Powertronic. I use to always lower mine to 11000 as I dont feel these bikes make any usable power above that anyway.
@@MotoMedicine904 Great 👍 Thanks a lot for quick response !❤️
hye. do u hv dyno tune for Dominar400?
Hey brother. I can't get the program to work. R-tune downloaded no problem with the exe file. The program DOES NOT register the unit though and I have tried every which way of opening and closing with it on. I'm guessing it has to do with downloading the firmware updates, but the files come in a .frm format which no software can open. WTF? Tried this on two separate computers now. Help?
How do I get that map 2 file!!???
Question, if I bring my bike and a PowerTronic ECU to a dyno shop, do they need to be running R-Tune to build a custom map?
Yes, they have to use Rtune. It's the only software that talks to the PT ECU
Hi , I have a project with my duke 390 , I am buying an adn high flow cap filter ,a k&n high flow filter, I have a full system non catalytic exhaust "akrapovic"(Chinese)😂 and a gray area ktm injector . The question is a Fuel X lite configures all that well? Or do I have to buy a powertronic ECU? I really don't look for final speed, but the as optimal performance and if that gives me more horses is a plus ,but I look for smoothness and responsiveness ,with good performance , I love it but like it lacks something else 💪.
I was just curious if there was any possibility that you could send me the dyno tune file so I could try it on my 390, I have been running the powertronic exhaust map but I also have the air filter lid and exhaust both so the dyno map would probably be better suited for my bike until I can get to a dyno.

@@MotoMedicine904 dang, I dont have an Instagram.
good video
could you mind to share with me some maps?
can you add a map that someone built for you if he used dynojet to make the map?
No, Rtune can only recognize and load a tune built from its own software. You could try to match the values on the tables but I wouldn't recommend it.
The COM 5 is not popping up no matter what i do
hello, can send me please a GPR390 R TUNE FILE?
@MotoMedicine can you please send me the GPR 390 R-Tune file?!
Send me a DM on instagram @motomedicine_yt
can you send me the dyno map?
Where do you find all these maps
Powertronic has an exhaust map on their website for download. The Dyno map was passed onto me by another owner.
hey is there a way of getting hold of the the map file cheers
My newest video has a Google Drive link to download it
@@MotoMedicine904 thanks for the quick reply buddy much appreciated
Do you by chance still have the airbox and echaust files?
Yep. Send me your email
@@MotoMedicine904 i just dm'd your instagram. That would be epic!!
I emailed it this morning
@@MotoMedicine904 your the man! I cant wait!
@@MotoMedicine904 two more questions. Racedynamics doesnt specify which map to have on when doing idle relearn and they dont say anthing about changing maps on the fly. I assuming its safe to change on the fly ? since thats what the map switch is for right? and should I have the bike in map 1 or 2 during idle relearn?
Man can you please help me get my laptop connected to my ecu I can't figure it out
Try plugging the ECU into the laptop before opening the Rtune software first.
I did but it still won't bring up com anything
I havent played with Rtune since trading my duke almost a year ago. I'm not going to be much help. You can try reinstalling the program and making sure all the drivers are there. Other than that you may need to reach out to Powertronic USA
Do you still have the maps file? If so can you email the file to me? Just picked up my 2020 KTM Duke 390 from Poway Powersports.
Thanks in advance.
DM me your email address on Instagram
Ok cool. Thanks again
I sent it over
Awesome. Just checked my email and located it. Thanks and stay safe riding.

I wish I knew it didn’t work on Macs smh but I can use my work computer
My wife and I purchased the laptop you see in the video for $200 brand new and it has enough power to run the program. You dont necessarily "need" to mess with anything but its nice to have if you want to.
run parallels on mac and you'll be able to use your mac.
I want to add pops and bangs on my duke 390 want your help with it may i get your Instagram id ?
