  • this is a small demonstration video on uploading a custom map onto the POWERTRONIC PIGGY BACK ECU for the Royal Enfield Himalayan. The ecu can be purchased @amazon.in and the maps and the R-TUNE software can be downloaded from their website which is @powertronic.in . The whole process ought not to take more than 5-10 minutes of one's time.

    Ben I recently purchased powerage free flow headers for int 650 with aew exhaust. Installed it after a day or two it’s giving P0131 error code so I shifted to stock headers. Will powertronic will help in adapting the free flow headers

    Ben, Had a quick question.
    I had today got the Powertronics with red rooster along with a BMC air filter fitted on the Himalayan BS4. It appears like, the unusual stops that Himalayan makes during the throttle release and clutch engagement from higher speeds of 40+ seems have increased a lot, it used to happen to me when the engine is cold and after i run for 15 minutes it was fine, but after these fitments even after a ride of 40+ minutes, i am seeing the stops happening, and the RPM falls rapidly close to 1k, when the clutch gets disengaged, Is this because of the Throttle calibration not done on the maps, i was away for a while in the last stages of install, so not sure if it was calibrated, do you think this could happen because of it ?, I made him download the latest maps for with custom exhaust.. and there is a little air leak at the connection where the red rooster hooks to the stock pipe, could this be the reason ? Any help is appreciated, Thank you. The engine pulls cleanly though, its on BS4. Or is it with the canister that is causing it ? as you mention in one of the video..

      @ONTWOWHEELSBEN  3 роки тому

      yes throttle calibration can greatly affect the performance of the maps. Also , pls use the stock factory gasket of the exhaust on the new muffler as well (a new one preferably). Contact me via whatsapp on 9962693431 once you have done the above mentioned and tested it out.

      @@ONTWOWHEELSBEN Sure will do Ben, Thank you for your reply. I had called the powertronics support, and they did mention that this is a common problem, they did suggest to increase the idle RPM on the stock to somewhere close to 1300, and said this should not happen. I got the info that TPS was indeed calibrated today post the install of powertronics. Planning to visit the nearest showroom near me to increase the IDLE RPM increased, Will also ask the availability of a new gasket, as the OLD one got torn a little here and there, when it was being removed for re-install.

    Hi Ben, I have a setup similar to yours.. powertronic, k&n filter , aftermarket exhaust. I am fairly happy with the performance so far, although I could do with a little more pep in the mid-range. Haven't really fiddled with the Powertronic exhaust map. Would you be open to sharing your map? Would love to do a compare and find out if there are any differences in performance. Cheers.

    • @ONTWOWHEELSBEN

      PN Praveen the bike runs richer throughout the RPMs with the PT ecu . So you can expect a drop of 10-30 % on fuel economy.

    Hey Ben, just wanted your opinion on one issue I'm facing with the installation of Powertronic ECU. So I tried installing the ECU on my BS4 Himalayan, but the bike doesn't start and coupler shoes no lights on the SPK 1 option, however when I again removed the powertronic harness and went back to the stock connectors, the bike starts as usual, could be a issue with my powertronic harness? Or is it an installation error? Can't seem to find a fix

    • @ONTWOWHEELSBEN
      @ONTWOWHEELSBEN  2 роки тому

      Sounds more like an installation error to me . You might have switched the couplers / connectors . If everything is done right and he bike doesn’t start it is a faulty unit ( don’t jump to that conclusion though)

    • @ONTWOWHEELSBEN

      Shubhay Kadam ONLY if you want to add a high flow air filter and free flow exhaust .

      @@ONTWOWHEELSBEN I am running on K&N air filter as well as NGK spark plug. I want to extract performance out of the bike but not sure about the exhaust. Does red rooster/power age exhaust are noisy? Will they grab too much attention? I know they both come with DB killer, but with DB killer on- are they producing a sound which is in permissible limit?

    • @ONTWOWHEELSBEN
      @ONTWOWHEELSBEN  4 роки тому +1

      Shubhay Kadam powertronic richens the mixture by about 10% throughout the rev range . So if you add a free flow filter then powertronic will help even the mixture out . Also the mufflers with the baffles/dB killer, will make below 80 decibels at 4000 rpms and that is street legal . Nothing to worry .

    Hi. I have a very basic question. My stock ECU got blown because of a rat bite issue. My question is can I replace the stock ECU with a power tronic ECU. I am not able to find the answer any where hence asking.

    • @ONTWOWHEELSBEN
      @ONTWOWHEELSBEN  4 роки тому +2

      Sajith Soman no friend . Powertronic is a piggyback system . It uses the stock ECU ‘s input to make Minor adjustments to fueling and ignition timing . It can’t dictate the terms to all the sensors on its own .

    • @ONTWOWHEELSBEN

      Extremely lean AFR can be the cause for this . Or your EVAP system is clogged or the hoses are kinked . Increase the idle Rpm ( watch my video ) . Always have the choke on for atleast a 30 secs in start up .

    • @ONTWOWHEELSBEN
      @ONTWOWHEELSBEN  3 роки тому +1

      Dear Nithin , I haven’t done any of these mods to increase figures on a dyno chart . This constant comparison of figures is not a healthy concept ( atleast for me ) . I test rode the Himalayan ( after owning KTM 390 & 250 duke for quite sometime ) and simply loved the machine . I wanted to work on some aspects of the bike to suit my needs on the terrain that particularly interests me and so the mods .

      SATYAM SHARMA Hi friend . In the hands of a professional, all three bikes won’t make much of a difference but if you are starting out into ADV riding then , 390 is highly road focused ( best for long distance sprints ) , a GS is 70/30 road / off-road machine in stock form and a Himalayan is 70/30 off-road / highway machine ( only disadvantage is the 90 kmph cruising speeds in stock format which can be increased to a 100 with the addition of an aftermarket Piggy back ecu like the Powertronic unit .

      Ron Blank Hi Ron , I have been running with this ECU for over a year now and I can say two things for sure about it . One , The engine runs way cooler compared to a stock machine ( due to a slightly richer mixture ) and Two, it supports Mods ( nothing like having the ability to customise the bike ) . As far as power goes . It does make the bike more top end friendly .

      I have installed Pwrtrncs for a year now. It makes your bike run cooler and more smoother. Its more useful if you have a custom exhaust and air filter. Also, if you know how to map you can play with the fuel:air mixture.
