    • @MotoMedicine904
      @MotoMedicine904  4 роки тому

      Yes its normal to see what looks like a lot of metal shavings on the 1st oil change because this is the period in which the motor is seating in. After that it should be very minimal.

    Can’t seem to find any concrete answers even in the manual so here it goes. For the 401 Vitpilen, does anybody know the easiest way to replace the lower oil screen? Asking because the exhaust on the Husqvarnas is routed directly beneath the oil screen. Trying to avoid removing exhaust. Any feedback would be awesome. Thanks

    • @brxconspiracy

    how do we know the exact pressure of the bolts,is there a chance cracking the engine due to increased pressure?

    • @MotoMedicine904
      @MotoMedicine904  2 роки тому

      You use a torque wrench which indicates when you've reach the right torque for each bolt. The threads on the engine case can strip if you go too tight but it takes quite a bit of over torque to do that.

  • @miketran4289

    There's a VERY good reason why you didn't fill it with the full 1.7L.. it's because the oil filter cavity wasn't filled until you ride the bike. You need to put in more oil after the ride since 200ml is now inside the oil filter cavity.

      You can adjust the mileage at any time. Ut only by the built in intervals. The 1 year stays the same no matter what. It will trigger the light at the miles when passed or 1 year whichever comes 1st.

    Shouldn't the bike be level front to rear as well as side to side when you check the oil level? Yours is elevated in the rear causing the oil level in the sight glass to appear lower than it actually is. Otherwise, very good video. Thanks for posting it.

    The first oil change at 600 miles should I do myself or should I go to the dealer, I change oils on my cars on my life so I would like to do the same on my bike 390 adventure, but I heard there is something they have to unlock the engine RPM, or there is a way I can do this myself. If anybody know anything about this please write me back thanks.

    If you have 0.1 liters left then you really overfilled the manual says you have to put 1.7L in there. When i changed the oil in i also put a little more in there because i could not see it at the glass but when i went for a long ride and checked the oil it was above the glass. So a bit overfill (50ml) should not be a problem but i think 200ml is. Just do what the manual says... Good luck!
