Hi Alyssa, I am writing to express my sincere gratitude for your informative videos. I have been following your content for some time now and have found it to be incredibly helpful. Unfortunately, about 10 months ago, I was diagnosed with Patellofemoral pain syndrome and arthritis in my left knee. This has significantly impacted my life, as I used to be an active bodybuilder. I would greatly appreciate your guidance on how I can take my knee strengthening exercises to the next level. I have tried incorporating leg presses (not heavy) and knee extensions into my routine, but I am unable to do big step-ups or squat low at this time. I would be grateful if you could provide some suggestions for alternative exercises or modifications that may be suitable for my condition. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to hearing from you.
Thank you Alyssa! I have R.A. that affects my right knee and these tips are very helpful! I also try to elevate my knee which ( I think) helps swelling too. Thank you for your wonderful channel ❤
I tore my acl and meniscus last year and could not get surgery due to getting a PE after knee injury. This summer as i got stronger i wrapped knee with an ace wrap when id do yard work mow and it was 100% difference when id wear it! Way better than a sleeve i feel better days i move more its fall/ winter now in iowa and trying to keep up on the activity i did over the summer. You channel helps so much thank you!! Any suggestions on tightness behind my knee? I have no pain and doing well since injury i just at times feel back of my knee is tight but not painful thanks!
Dear Alyssa, I appreciate your useful advices. Not relevant to this topic (sorry!), but you have mentioned anterior pelvic tilt in one of your videos. I have some huge skeletal muscular issues, and APT could be one of the reasons. Thanks so much in advance... Peace.
Lately I have been putting TIGER BALM on my knee. My knee gets warm and then later it becomes very itchy. Then I rub my knee a lot. So I guess I am stimulating circulation around my knee. As well, swelling has decreased. When applying TIGER BALM you must not put too much on otherwise you will burn your skin. It seems to be helping.
That's exactly what i needed, as i've been dealing with a local swelling in my right knee for over a week now (i have a torn meniscus) and it doesn't seem to heal. I will try and adopt these strategies as well as apply medicated clay to reduce the swelling. Any supplements that are beneficial for joint health?
Thank you very much for this video dear, God bless you. I have a swelling on my left leg just above the knee, are these workouts useful for that as well?. Please help me having tuff time walking

I have severe arthritis in both knees, it’s located between my femur bone and the tibia and under my patella, I’ve been told by all the orthopedic drs (I’ve gotten several opinions) that the only way to fix my pain and mobility is with knee replacements. I tried exercising to strengthen the muscle around my knees, but it hasn’t helped. About a month ago my right knee swelled up a lot, it would hurt when walking and made difficult and painful to bend my knee for any amount of time. One of the drs told me not to use anything right when I have swelling, so I’m confused as to wearing a compression brace or not. Also all of the 4 drs I saw told me the only way I can fix the problem is with a knee replacement. Is that my reality when all 4 drs agreed tor replacements! And can exercise alone fix my severe arthritis in both my knees?
Hi Alyssa I have osteoarthritis in my left knee. I had an injection in it 3 weeks ago and its still very swollen and i cant straighten my knee back. Im going on a cruise in 3 weeks, have you any advise to reduce swelling and to straighten my knee please. Thankyou so much x
Hi Alyssa, I had a knee revision 6 mos. Ago. I did PT for 5 mos. I was told I am experiencing patella tracking and PT recommended some sort of a brace so that I may continue to do my exercises with limited pain. Do you have any recommendations on this? Should I use KT tape? I do not want to have a brace for the rest of my life. Thank you
Hi Alyssa, I don't have knee issues but I wanted to ask you about hip and lower back. I have DDD and osteoarthritis in lower back, sometimes bulging disk, along with hip pain. I have been doing pretty good all summer lightly walking and doing your DDD exercises. I was feeling pretty good, my hip did have a bit of a kink in it. I tried your 45 min walking workout that you did with gma in-law. I didn't notice anything but by a couple hours I could hardly walk, my hip pain has been really bad. I went t to doctor and have a referral to a pain management clinic to see if they can locate the problem by injecting pain medication into pain areas. I don't know what the heck is going on. It feels like it's getting better with ice, heat, NSAIDS but I never quite heal all the way. Any advice? I didn't think the walking workout was that hard to do. I am 62 yo woman.
My husband is 71 y.o. and he has stiffness, restlessness and weakness of muscles on his right arm, hips, legs and including under the foot. He had CT scan and x-ray and the result says he has mild osteoarthritis. What does he need to do to lessen the debilitating discomfort on the said body parts? Thank you.
I have a slipping kneecap. I had lateral release surgery before, but it did not help. Doctors say exercise and it will get better, but physiotherapists always focus on the quad muscle groups and it doesn't help, I get worse. My knee hurts when I squat
I bought myself knee sleeves, I use them when working or walking because I am on concrete all the time. I have tried using a wrap on my knee but it always seems to bunch up behind my knee and it ends up rubbing uncomfortably.
I have same problem and I find walking on the grass very uncomfortable, using two walking sticks, it’s really helped me to have stronger leg muscles. I treat my swollen knees with castor oil to relieve pain. I am 73 old and doctor advised me to have knee replacement 10 years ago but I refused
No sugar or carbs. Lot's of water but don't overdue it. Compression is an amazing helpful tip. Too tight is awful and like an Olympic game getting them on😢lol😅
