    Peppers have lectins in them that’s a inflammatory, most olive oil sold in the US has bad oil mixed in it because organic olive may be better. And your using a no stick pan and a plastic spatula. When those things are heated harmful chemicals come out of them and enter the food . A cast iron pan and a steel spatula would be better and you would get iron from the pan when cooking in it . Iron is good for you. Health coach Ron age of 63 .

    I was dx with arthritis in my ribs in my mid-20's - told to take aspirin till it didn't work anymore, then I'd need cortisone, oh and stop all my horse activity. That last bit triggered my "no way"!! I began studying nutrition with Adele Davis and over my lifetime experimented with various low carb plans, exercise styles, and fasting routines. Began jogging in my 30's, kept riding even more. I'm pain-free at 77, still jogging, doing calesthenics, helping hubby clear forest acreage and remodel a 4bd home, and not only still riding but also just last year took over trimming my horse's hooves! 💪 I practice 2MAD and eat 95% whole food carnivore, include coffee, plant items for seasoning, and stevia-sweetened chocolate.

    I recently found your videos on arthritis with knees and hips. Now, seeing this about anti-inflammatory foods….you are a blessing. My childhood into my mid-40s I regularly played tennis, rode horses, skied and studied modern dance. All that came to a halt when I tore an ACL in 1998 and the other in 2004. I had reconstruction on one, but the PT was so horrendous I chose not to for the other. I’m 68 now and had a successful left total hip replacement 6 years ago, but my knees are starting to feel dodgy. I can no longer bound up the stairs and descending takes time (the hip is great). Your videos and exercise demos give me hope I can get back to some normalcy and hopefully put off knee surgery, as that PT is straight out of Hades and I want to avoid it as long as I can. You are a PT Angel🙏🏽❤️

    Eating that is contributing to your pain & other symptoms. I know you can use food withdrawal to try keto & Carnivore approaches.
    My 22 yr Ankylosing spondylitis had second stage spinal fusion- faced with drug’s & need for help at a senior Care home kicked motivation into high gear.
    Withdrawal method led me to find the best feeling was to eat ONLY Carnivore fats 60% to 40% protein. It’s your ticket to freedom for all that plus gains include weight loss, diabetes disappear ms, the return of a short term memory, stable energy, no anxiety, no constipation, no brain confusion and joy is rising … autoimmunity as I heal my gut. 71 yr old woman growing younger, jumping onto the sidewalk from the road & energy is star& stable.

    I have done several different diets to try to help inflammation and what I have found is eating Carnivore is the way to go.
    Beef, Butter, Bacon & Eggs works the best. You can eat any meat really - it doesn't have to be beef but the more the fat the better. Ribeye & Eggs is great and eat only - One Meal A Day is a great help as well.

      Dairy products promote inflammatory processes in the body. Animal protein contains cholesterol, which clogs the arteries with cholesterol plaque deposits, which lead to atherosclerosis, heart attacks, stroke, dementia and diabetes. Animal products are metabolized acidically = pro-inflammatory, therapeutic proteins are metabolized alkaline and have an anti-inflammatory effect, for example soy beans and tofu are an excellent source of protein.

    That is more like a frittata if you scramble them. One thing you don’t mention is nightshades. I would avoid red pepper for that reason. Avoiding nightshades has made a big impact on my joint mobility (and inflammation obviously). What is your thought about nightshades?

    • @arthritisadventure
      @arthritisadventure  3 роки тому +7

      Interesting! Usually bell peppers are recommended as anti-inflammatory but everyone responds differently so it’s good that you found out that it’s one of your triggers. There hasn’t been much evidence saying that they aggravate inflammation. But again, each person is different!

    • @loriallred4727
      @loriallred4727 3 роки тому +5

      @@arthritisadventure But you have heard about nightshades and the possible effect on arthritis? I think it is kind of like glucosamine... doesn’t effect everyone. That said, I have a friend with RA and she said bell peppers are a trigger as well.

    • @arthritisadventure
      @arthritisadventure  3 роки тому +12

      Yes I have! Nightshades do have the possibility to aggravate inflammation in some. Same with gluten and dairy. They can affect some more than others. But usually the idea is to cut out processed foods first before cutting out natural foods when starting out. But when you've been following an anti-inflammatory diet for a while, then you can hone in on these specifics to maximize results!

    I saute the vegetables, especially mushrooms, then I whisk two eggs with a little water and pour it on top of the
    vegetables, add salt and pepper and then put the lid on and turn the heat way down... helps to have a glass
    see-through lid so as soon as the egg is fluffed up and firm, I slide this 'omlette' onto a plate and eat... agree it's a great combination for variety, and keeps my imnflamation down.
