When I made all the fiberglass for MTF, I made sure our upper and lower scoops fit like a glove. I added a 1/4 return lip to the edges so they could be trimmed to fit any contour.

I would have to say you are the most informative person by far on this type of project. Myself I am at frame rails and torque boxes right now but will be moving towards the fastback conversion. You have answered many questions, thank you very much and you do amazing work.

Great video! I really enjoyed seeing all your fitment tricks. But I loved seeing the family involved helping out. Great memories and bonding you'll always have. Please keep posting.

I greatly appreciate your videos! I have been using them for reference on my current conversion and they have been priceless!!! How did you handle the roof to quarter panel connection? On your video you already have it covered with bondo? Thanks

I have several videos on the conversion process, if you are referring to welding the seam from roof to quarter panel that was covered in video titled part 4. If you are referring to how I filled the seam. I used a flex able filler similar to what is used on urethane bumpers, to fill most of the gap. Then finished it out with a quality body filler. That way it will lessen the chance of cracking in the joint. Good luck on your build and thanks for checking out my videos

I’ve read that they tapered the stripes on fastbacks, they would be more narrow in the front and rear of the car than they were in the middle of the car. I’m guessing since you used a laser on both sides of the stripes that you didn’t do that? How do they look being perfectly straight? Thanks

We did do the taper as per the measurements for the Shelby stripes. The two inner lines are perfectly straight. The outer lines were measured and the taper was built in to the lazer line from the smallest point to the widest point. The lazer really helped to keep the lines straight over things like the hood scoop and rear spoiler.

love your VDO, i'm VICK living in Thailand, so i'd like to change my 1974 Mustang Gen ll coupe to Fastback just like this, so how can i begin, PLS🙏 THANX

Hello Vick, I don’t see any conversion kits for a 74 conversion. You may have to search for all the individual sheet metal parts to see if they are available. Another option would be to find a donor car you could cut parts out of. However you decide or attempt don’t cut corners on the internal structure of the car as that is what gives it the rigidity, structure and safety required to do it right. Good luck on you project.

You are awesome! I love watching the way you do this. I love mustangs, especially Shelby's. I used to have a 68 California special GTCS
