Love watching reactors when they hear Melody for the first time. At this point when they produce this video they were all in their teens and the two youngest were under 12. This band has come a long way. Check out “Crazy Train” on Santa Monica pier”. First saw the three older children play “Stay”. It’s found 11 year old and brother sing Stay. Great voice even back then. Melody the singer started playing bass shortly after. They did “Wild Thing” She doesn’t play bass now just sings. They recently left LA and moved to Georgia. Dad was and is a record producer from Transylvania, hince the name Liliac which translate “Vampire Bat”
Melody still considers herself a bass player and does play bass on stage sometimes. She writes the bass lines for their new songs. Ethan does double duty also on guitar and bass.

This was one of their earlier covers. All their hair is MUCH longer now, lol. Go to their channel and listen to more of them. They're amazing! Their metal head dad makes all of this happen. I have been following Liliac for a couple years. They age from 19 and down to 12 years old. They have an album out now too. All original tunes. They got my attention by covering Ozzy, to Janis Joplin. The more I find...the more I want to see. They have a saying..."Rock On and Rock Hard".
You mentioned someone whose life plan was to have a band's worth of kids, and then teach them to play. That is what Papa Liliac (Florin Cristea) did IRL. He was a solidly professional performer/producer, and now runs the family business (including protecting Melody's voice). Not quite sure what Mama Liliac did, but I think she takes care of PR/merchandising.
These kids are awesome! IMO, they are best enjoyed if you do a few covers first then venture into some originals. Save “Sail Away” for last. It’s a ballad and on another level from everything they did up to it.

I am with you. I recognize the talent of Liliac, but they are just not my style. The Warning is still my number 1 band. Both being young family bands, the comparisons are going to be made.

RJD is smiling down on Miss Melody and as far as Sam goes, Jimi, Ritchie, Sam...*just saying.) Abby stands to be a top a drummer and Ethan has bass player presence. Justin is growing into his place nicely as well. You need to check their originals out. If you go to their UA-cam channel, you will find out all type of things about them. I've always said this band doesn't need any bodyguards. They got Aby the drummer...lol! She dents the skins she hits those drums so hard. She and the rest also have taken martial arts. With Aby's speed and power and and precision with her arms not tiring out along with high kicks. I'm quite sure she could handle anyone...Not to mention with her great attitude and sweet smile. The Lead Singer has simply a "geile Stimme" like we say in Germany, but there is no appropriate translation to this in english, meaning that the lead singers voice is absolutely great, but with a wow effect-:) Maybe amazing covers it at best.
The band is from California and and Lily that means bats so it's all part of the 3rd music and what they bring to you man is the heavy metal of the eighties what's out grew up it's what's up group in and I've seen 56 groups back then but if I could go to one of their live concerts I would die to get there and metal mafia is the bomb
@@randylavallee7267 you are very thin skinned. Every band begins in this way, doing covers. Liliac have mastered the art of the cover, and in most cases sound exactly like the original band. The next step is to chose between covers and originals. I believe getting out of LA, and moving to the mid atlantic will help with the transition to original material, and refining a sound of their own. The music scene where they are now is much more vibrant, and should benefit the band. If nothing else, they will be in contact with some great writers and a much more vibrant music scene. 🤘🏻🙂
roy, liliac has put out 2 cover albums as well as 2 original albums Chain of Thorns and Queen of Hearts...both unbelievably awesome..no mimics here, these kids, with the help of their parents, write, mix and produce thier own stuff...this is pure raw incredible talent...period

@@jdis66 I am very familiar with their original work. I bought both albums. The band is a work in progress, as it should be when they are this young. Their writing isn’t quite there yet. Time, experience and getting out of LA should hone them. At this stage, I would look to some outside writers, and I see no shame or problem with that. Song writing is the most difficult aspect of the business.

The Lead Singer has simply a "geile Stimme" like we say in Germany, but there is no appropriate translation to this in english, meaning that the lead singers voice is absolutely great, but with a wow effect-:) Maybe amazing covers it at best.

@@randylavallee7267 you are very thin skinned. Every band begins in this way, doing covers. Liliac have mastered the art of the cover, and in most cases sound exactly like the original band. The next step is to chose between covers and originals. I believe getting out of LA, and moving to the mid atlantic will help with the transition to original material, and refining a sound of their own. The music scene where they are now is much more vibrant, and should benefit the band. If nothing else, they will be in contact with some great writers and a much more vibrant music scene. 🤘🏻🙂

liliac has put out 2 cover albums as well as 2 original albums Chain of Thorns and Queen of Hearts...both unbelievably awesome..no mimics here, these kids, with the help of their parents, write, mix and produce thier own stuff...this is pure raw incredible talent...period

@@jdis66 I am very familiar with their original work. I bought both albums. The band is a work in progress, as it should be when they are this young. Their writing isn’t quite there yet. Time, experience and getting out of LA should hone them. At this stage, I would look to some outside writers, and I see no shame or problem with that. Song writing is the most difficult aspect of the business.
