i watched live at release this morning.. ive watched it at least 10 times since.. my thought process cant understand what I'm seeing and listening to.. to me this is a fricking white unicorn.. you see a band like this with that voice every 20 years

You two have become on of my favorite reactors for Liliac. Was surprised you came out so fast. I saw it at live premiere. Been playing a few times. We voted on this one in the steel factory. I wanted something that would show off everyone including Abby with the new riser and custom kit. Couldn't have gone better. New it would be a hard one and they pulled it off. I had to back it up to see your reaction to the effects on Melody. It was soo good. Lol Abby was intense, however I saw a couple of soft smiles I think. Well done you 2. I am a die hard from Killem all Ride The Lightning days and these kids did a great job with their own take. The keyboards add a haunting background perfect for addiction. Melodys Banshee scream is awesome. Great job kids dont let the so called diehard core fans bother you. There are many of us core fans that appreciate your version. Abby great job. Ethan, Cliff would be proud. Justin the Keyboards act like a Rhythm Guitar. Haunting. Sam well there you are. Melodys Banshee screams and Vocals are second to none.

This makes me happy too. This kicked ass. I love that they put their own twist on it with the vamp style (gothic transylvanian organ and melody video visuals) Their dad is a producer and does his own work video editing. Papa Liliac is my vote for dad of the year!!!!

Long time Metallica fan. Pretty much everything they put out has some kind of awkward grittiness that nobody is prepared for. In the end it’s what makes it so damn good. Liliac captured that same grit by making this their own in their own way. Love it
the grit, the speed and the overdrive on Cliffs Bass just kills you thru Ride The Lightning and Master.. They always found a way to be just a bit different and hard enough to scare away the wannabes
Liliac took on an iconic power tune from one of the or even the biggest rock band ever... kept the power and placed their own LILIAC style on it... as they should... the entire band did an absolute amazing job... including those behind the scenes!!! If there is a critique to this video / performance it would be Melody ... not her singing style but the added effects.. Melody is such an excellent ROCK singing baddass just allow her to do Melody ... and man is Ethan picking up bass quick... Cliff is so smiling right now!!

As an old school Metallica fan ... this was SICK!!!! I’m so impressed with how the lead guitarist can morph into whatever guitarist he is covering. You know how great players have little things they do and how they play .. you can always tell who it is even if playing someone else’s song. Like if EVH playing Metallica it’d be like .. that’s EVH without even seeing him. He sounds just like the players he is covering it’s really interesting. The drummer can stay on time better than Lars already. I liked the Keys as well. Bravo 🙌 🤘.
I really liked how they were able to get the keyboards into the song.
Abby the drummer is unreal. She's one of the best natural drummers I think I've ever seen from watching videos on UA-cam and going to live concerts. Melody also plays Bass and her younger brother playing Bass is also a really good guitarist. He showcases it on their earlier videos doing covers. They're all so talented. I truly hope they stay together and prosper because they deserve it w/their talent.
They plan on working on a third cover album. Can't wait for that !

I like that we know its Liliac playing on any song we hear from them. Back in the day no bands like to be known as sounding just like,,fill in the blank. Nowadays its a compliment to hear someone say they sound like someone else. But Liliac has surpassed that mark by far and is compared to no one, you know it's them.

i've been playing guitar since 82' and Sam is quickly becoming a favorite of mine.
These kids are F'ing legit! THey are all brilliant musicians but holy hells that bass player is like a gawd damned human metronome! He lays down a sick ass bass line that is consistent as hell. Swiss watch makers could use him to set their watches by.

Wow! Once again I'm just blown away by these kids. They're so young but just total professionals and play so tight together! It was really cool to hear the youngest one banging on those keys too! All of them just blew the roof off the place once again.
This was an epic video and I have watched a dozen times already myself then I put it on the big screen in the break room at lunch and everybody's jaws were hitting the floor.
I discovered them over a year ago and I love them. If you haven't got there Queen of hearts CD you should. Best CD I have listened to in a long time. Every track Rocks!! 🤘🤘

Sorry, i was so overwhelmed by the song and could only hear your exclamations. I'm worn out but in a very happy place. Someone else mentioned that Aby had so much responsibility for the timing and other things that somberness was expected. What I didn't expect was Ethan's drum line was so integral it was amazing. #2 is Justin's masterful playing in fills and backgrounds. Thank you for the comments afterward that I could listen to and absorb. Whew!

As a BIG fan of Metalica since their Kill Them All album and I've been a fan of Liliac also for the last three years,I was kind of scared that they might not manage the speed and fast rythm of this epic song,but ohboy was I wrong.
They absolutley nailed it with their own lttle twist on it.

Some of the first that came out that I watched had people being negative and saying they ruined this song. I have to imagine a 55 yr old failure of a human being who is still listening to the original Metallica in their '78 Camaro in the cassette deck. I am sure he has worn out a many of tapes. This is the guy that would say this sucks. Everyone else sees pure talent and applauds Liliac's tribute cover to one of the greatest songs ever.

I just think he would approve of how well Ethan runs his axe at 14. I so hope he keeps at it, his potential is not yet fully realized. :) cheers m8

Ethan was on guitar... to pick up so fast what Melody has taught him is truly sick.. it would take most people 10 years to get 10% of what he already has.. its in their genes, you cant say anything else

This was filmed months & months ago before they moved out of CA. The metal shop & metal song, just goes hand in hand, for a location. The camera styles change up on most of the videos, just depending on locations. The more you see, the more you will understand.
If you really want to see some of their best camera work, you HAVE to react to "Sail Away".
This rock Ballad might not be heavy enough for your liking, but it is the best rock ballad since the 80's to hit the airwaves. I promise, you will not regret it, as you will see a softer side of the band, and be amazed as the song builds, and blows your head clear off.
I concur, "Sail Away" is the best rock ballad I've heard in decades. RO&RH!

The locale of the video had to do with the drum riser, the riser was built by the very steel shop where the video was recorded, so in exchange for the new riser, the shop got to host the video.

I think LILIAC had a band meeting at the beginning of 2021 and wondered what they should do this year. I guess one of them must have said, "Let's put the pedal to the Metal." And they all shrugged their shoulders and said, "OK."

Even though the "smiling, loving life drummer" is kind of Abigail's schtick, and it works well for her, the tone and the message of this song is such that it would have looked ridiculous in this video. It's a tribute to her professionalism that she performed the way that she did.
