They are an amazing family. Their song Mars is awesome and cover of Dio's, Holy Diver is insane. Melody's voice is perfect their style.
Liliac was the headline act at the unity music festival in manupar India 🇮🇳 11-6-2022 and they killed it in front of 1000s of screaming fans.
I saw them in concert in 2019. They are the real deal. Melody's voice is one of the best female rock voices I've ever heard.

They are Romanian/American, 100% Independent by choice. Currently Aged 15-23. 3 USA Tours and just did a show in India.
Yeah, I sense a theme with her doing The Warning's old cover of this yesterday. In both cases I wish she started with something original and recent. Maybe she'll follow up with more reactions to both.
I started with this because it's where I started but she's doing Not Afraid next but you can buy her a coffee and she will do whatever reaction you want lol.

As great as their Covers are I don't think it truly shows their skill as well as their Originals.

They do several Dio covers that are LEGIT. I wanted to hate these kids when I first saw that they had covered Holy Diver, but…. Very Respectable.

I get such a kick watching peoples 1st reaction Liliac. I saw them live back in August, truly brilliant! I learned of them via Sina drums.

Every member of this band is terrific, all at world class level now. Obviously the older three stand out but as the younger ones grow up they'll show us more. I doubt any better family band has ever existed.

World class is a bit of a stretch. The vocalist is world class, the rest are just pretty good.
Best family band ever? There are many great family bands that have certainly achieved far more than they have. They have potential for sure but I would say that they have a ways to go before I would put them in the same league as even Greta, much less the Bee Gees, Jackson 5, Sly and the Family Stone, INXS or Andrew Sisters. I could name many many more.

Ok, now you have listened to a cover song they did when they were younger. Now you need to listen to a song they just released. It is an original, "Not Afraid". You will be amazed at how more developed Melodia's voice has become. She will be turning 21 this December and the youngest just turned 15 on the 15th of October. Great reaction. Also, Melodia is a nickname given to her by Ronnie James Dio's Drummer but put an a on the end of it. And spelled the way she spelled it actually means Melody in Romanian. Their parents were born and raised in Romania; the kids were all born here in the USA. There are so much about this band and their performances you need to check out like they just got back from India on their first ever international tour, and they rocked the house down over there. The Fangs in India went crazy when they played. The band name "Liliac". Means Bat in Romania, and so their Fans are called Fangs. So, let's hear more LIliac please! Also, I found out you did this reaction to one of their songs through their Facebook group. They posted you did this. And they ask for us Fangs to like and Subscribe to your channel. So, guess what? You have a new subscriber here and I'm sure many more. Rock on and Rock Hard!
Melody is a welcome breath for metal vocals. They all play multiple instruments. The middle son now mostly plays bass, and the youngest, on keys, is also learning guitar and bass. Need to hear her do Dio.

You got the name correct the first time. It means bat in Romanian. They busked at an early age on the Santa Monica pier learning. Like the pier, they do covers and originals. I think the Fangs recommended some songs. Just look at Justin to see how young he looks if it's early. He just turned 15. Loved your energy. Hope to see more Liliac. Great reaction and I saw your reaction to The Warning as well where you also did a great job. Both are really, really talented family bands and I love both of them. Hard core fans of both seem to think that they have to choose one over the other for some reason and at times make remarks that do not credit them or either of these wonderful groups. Though both groups have done amazing covers, they are at their best in my opinion with their originals. I love the fact that Liliac has made some changes in their style as far as fashion but also as far as their musical direction. They continue to do the old music but also have taken on some music that many would consider out of their sandbox. Some of the fans have expressed disappointment, but I say, good for them. They are still an amazing group and I wish nothing but the best for LIliac and The Warning. Nothing like a little healthy competition...Sort of like The Beatles, The Beach Boys and The Stones from back in my earlier days...I think I may be just telling my age there!
Hy my friend Jim. Some of you said was right but some didn’t made any sense. Family bands yes, but comparing Liliac to the Warning, it’s just like compared the Beatles to all the others. Especially painful was comparing the Fab Four to The Beach Boys. These surfer boys tried so hard, that the Wilson guy got crazy when the Beatles released Sgt Peppers before they released their disastrous LP “ animal sounds “ and the last song was on the Beatles record “ Good morning “ full with all kind of animal sounds. The Beach Boys were noticed only in the US, but the Stones and the Beatles were known world wide. Back to the youths of today, I’m not arguing about which band is better or worst than the other, both are made of family members, but one thing is the deciding factor for me, it’s the numbers of those members. Liliac have five members, and all of them are masters of their instruments. But their version is just a copy of the original, played masterfully. And the Warnings version just like they reinvented the song turned upside down and inside out in just seven days, and earned to be the first song on that Black anniversary album. With just a tiny budget they have or had that time, they played,edited,and made a video of it. And here coms the comparison in place. Many bands were invited to do that song, and this three girls blown away any other bands version. Back to old times again, the Beatles didn’t competed against anybody, better say, they didn’t needed to compete to anyone, but them self. The Stones played a totally different stile, with different lyrics and playing their instruments like craftsman’s. But the Beatles wrote and played on a different level than anybody else, and the only danger they had was the Searchers and the Hollies. And the Warning is running on the same train as they were running. No competitions in sight! Three member bands are a penny for a dozens, but not them! And their age can be a deciding factor, the youngest is not even 18 yet, and the oldest is younger than any of the Beatles was when they started to play. Got my view about them? Releasing an album when the oldest was just 16 yrs old written by a 13 yrs old genius Paulina it’s unheard yet. Ok it’s not unheard because the Jackson’s did it even younger, but to know the circumstances about them, I just feel sorry of them. And all things put together, the Warning is not just a meteorite, shining for a short time only. They are here to stay for a long time, which we can’t say about the Fab Four. And Liliac? Sooner or later they gonna have their differences because of male female differences or misunderstandings. It could happen to the Warning to, unexpected love affairs which in my mind is the only reason they can have a real fight. But as one Audio engineer said about them ( the family is the most important thing for them. ) so my friend, good that at least we have a choice, which according to one sentence of PAU in the song “ error “ It’s killing the mind, we all can have our favored artists or bands, and being old like dirt at least we seen and heard some of the great ones!!!!

@@bubamaranovichok4901I'm not here to start an argument or argue if one band is better than the other as I like them both. Just here to spit some facts. Liliac- Enter Sandman actually isn't a copy of the Original, they added pinch harmonics, keys, and a child prayer to it with an actual child, they just didn't flip it completely like The Warning did. Alessia Cara was actually the one invited to do the song (Not The Warning) but Cara didn't know what to do and was on same label and obviously the label knew TW did Enter Sandman earlier so Cara asked them to help her. As far as the no competitions in sight comment (Liliac actually has more YT Subs and Views) Maybe, Liliac will have their fights or differences and maybe they won't (so far they get along greatly with each other), you can say the exact same thing about The Warning, there's no guarantee either of them will be a long time staple despite their ages, Liliac has 2 members younger than The Warning's youngest. I would just enjoy it while it lasts and root for both to succeed.

Woot! Another reactor finding Liliac for the first time. Great reaction. Yes. They are nutso amazing. Classic rock voice.. oh yeah, and this is an older one. You should check their cover of Janice Joplin's "piece of my heart" from Cummings, GA live. Also Covered Joan Jett's "I hate myself for loving you". They're great recorded and better live. Another piece from Cummings is "Mars" an original. Must listen. Dig in and enjoy. They started out in CA on the Santa Monica Pier. Dad's a Music producer and originally from Transylvania, thus the band name 'liliac' or 'bat'.

Best female rock voice ever
Rosalie, My favorite covers by them are Ronnie James Dio songs. But before you check out the Liliac covers you really need to check out a couple of songs from Dio. In my opinion he was the greatest male metal singer ever. Maybe start with Stargazer from the band Rainbow or Holy Diver from Dio's own band. Thank you and keep up the great reactions.

This band is amazing and I'm almost crying in how good they they are. The lead singer voice has personality and rasp sound. They could stand on their own if they find the right written songs made for them. I hope in the future they could sing their own songs along with holy diver, enter sandman and more. I love their sound and is really good.

This was the first song I heard them do and my response was the same as yours I was fanged as soon as Melody started singing. Her voice has even gotten better and stronger as you will see in Not Afraid extended version it's my favorite but I love every song they've done. You should definitely check out more from Liliac. Dios The Last In Line is amazing and their original stuff rocks! Sail Away ( a beautiful rock Ballad ) Nothing, Mystery, Dear Father and a lot more. Liliac has become my favorite all time...yes they're that good!

Great band and this gives you a look at the past as they were working on their technique. They are awesome in concert and now mix covers and originals. And since they've had 5 or 6 years of playing and touring, they are much improved from this. Check out more - especially originals "Sail Away", "Not Afraid" and "Mars". Melody's voice has improved and she just concentrates on vocals now. Ethan switched to bass so she can just be the kickass frontwoman that she is. She is inspired by Ronnie James Dio and theer cover of "Holy Diver" is on point. Check out more; you won't be disappointed.
Melody was nicknamed Melodia by Dio guitarist and Ronnie James Dio's widow, based on their covers of Dio songs, asked them to perform at a Dio tribute concert
She was given the nickname MeloDia by Vinny Appice drummer for Dio& Black Sabbath

yes ! they are great ! I discover this band 2 years ago and I love them ! They did great covers: le last one "Seven nation army" is awesome , "close your eyes". Melodie is a big fan of Dio so try "last in line", "rainbow in the dark", "holy diver", ... They did their own music too: "Mars" (live is great), "we are children", "dear father", "sail away", ....

Please listen to Not Afraid by them.
Their latest video (Oct 2022) is "Not Afraid" Extended version which was filmed at various concerts they did this last summer. It is an original song of theirs. Plus they have cut their hair since this video. They are going to do a live-on-line concert in December and they are working on their 3rd album that will be released soon. They also did a "Seven Nation Army" remake earlier this year. Wait until you hear Melody's screams on these videos!
