Metal has few rules, but one of them is DEFINITELY no lip syncing. Melodia (Melody, nicknamed Melodia by Dio's drummer) is legit, not lip syncing there!

This song was recorded by these brothers and sisters in studio and this video was made afterwards so technically yes she’s lip syncing over the playback but that’s all Melody. And they are amazingly talented.
Melody has one of the most unique and amazing voices I have heard in a very long time. You haven't seen anything yet. She can go from the deepest growls to whistle notes and everything in between. Check out their live performance of Mars Live in Cummings, Ga.
That is her voice, one of the truly new generational rock voices today. This video was back a few years ago. 5 siblings. No lip sinc....just pure talent. Check out Not Afraid extended version which is more recent and you can hear Melody tear it up.

Their father Florin does all the recording & sound tech stuff. They started from California but, moved to Georgia. They are all grown up now & Ethan switched from guitar to bass & Melody went out just as a singer.

Been loving this band for a few years now. And yes that Melody's actual voice. They're all siblings and very talented musicians. This is an older one, for something newer they did a metal cover of Carol of The Bells this past Christmas.
This is a family band and she is not lipsnycing. They are all very talented musicians they are all playing their instruments. This was one of their early videos and they have progressed a lot.
This doesn't even touch the edges of her vocal abilities. She can go low and buttery smooth, to gravel and outstanding rock and roll screams, and end it all with high notes that make dogs two counties away tilt their heads. No idea how she manages it, but I hope to God she never stops! RORH!

As everyone said, yes that is her voice and she is only 16 in this video. Her voice is amazing. Her inspiration is Ronnie James Dio and she emulates him a lot in their videos. Check out their original Mars Live or their live performance of other afraid. Great family! They have covers and originals for you to check out.

I have not listened to any new music after the Eighties. I like the Blues, Soul & Rock and Roll. When watching videos on my Girlfriends Computer after Back Surgery I clicked on a video of a young woman doing drum covers (Sina), AGT (Courtney Hadwin), The Warning and Liliac and my Faith has been reborn in our youth Loving and keeping R&R alive.

this is an older video.....Melody was only 16 at the time...Sam, on lead guitar, was 19...Abagail, the drummer, was 18.....Ethan, on rhythm guitar, was 12, Justin, the keyboardist, was 9......their parents were born in Romania (Dad grew up near Vlad the Impaler's castle)...."Liliac" is Romanian for bat...(their fans are Fangs)

Oh, yeah, welcome to Liliac!!!! That's Melodia's actual voice. And, yeah, it's one of those things that made me initially go "how have I never heard of them before now??"
Yes, this is a family band. The lead guitarist is the eldest and the keyboardist is the youngest. These guys do covers as advertising since they're an indie group. Melody, the lead, primarily favors Ronnie James Dio for her inspiration but sounds like a cross between him and Janice Joplin. She has a stunning range as you've seen. Their catalogue is pretty big at this point so you can't go wrong picking pretty much anything. My favorite of their covers is 7 nation army by the White Stripes. Highly recommend it. among their originals to check out, I'd aim you at "Mars live in cumming GA", "Sail Away", "Nothing", and "Not Afraid" for starters. Two new ones off the latest album "Madness" and Carousel.. are amazing as well.
Dad "papa Liliac" is a professional music producer and so produces the group. He's originailly from Transylvania Romania. He came to the states and met his wife here who is also originally from Romania. And the family got their start as a band busking on the Santa Monica Pier out in California. They did that till they were drawing such large crowds that they were shutting down traffic and had to graduate to venues. They managed to play with the original Drummer from the Police while busking one day and had a lot of fun with that. After recording covers of Dio, "Holy Diver" and Rainbow in the dark, they got noticed by the old Dio/Sabbath Drummer Vinny Appice and were invited to play Sabbath Nights. Melody got her nickname 'Melodio/Melodia' from Vinny. She sang lead at Sabbath Nights and also went into the studio and did session recordings with the guys. Really cool. Then the group was invited by Wendy Dio to record an unreleased longer version of "last in line" for the Dio Cancer Fund. They also got invited to play the Kiss Kruise. And among some of the vids you'll see floating out there are shoutouts from Judas Priest. So, you'll see they've made a bit of a splash ;)
The fans are called 'fangs' as a throwback to the transylvainan roots. And the band name "liliac' means vampire bat in Romanian. Welcome to fangdome! Rock on and Rock Hard!

Family band of brothers and sisters, that's 💯 Melodys voice. They have original music but they do some wicked covers. Holy Diver and Seven Nation Army are worth listening to and make sure Lulu gets to see the kids play.
I saw them in Charlotte in November. They are great live. They are one of my favorite bands.

That’s her voice! Everyone had that reaction the first time they hear her. This was one of their earliest videos, and yes, they’re a family band. They started out doing covers on the Santa Monica Pier in California and then began writing and composing their own music. When Ethan got a little older Melody taught Ethan bass so she could concentrate on vocals and because she likes to be expressive while singing. Ethan’s a great guitar player too, check out their cover of The Trooper. Melody is a big fan of Ronnie James Dio, so they’ve done covers of several Dio songs, Holy Diver, Last in Line, the cancer tribute performance that Wendy Dio asked them to perform and recently Heaven and Hell.
Originals to check out are Nothing, Dear Father, Mystery, We Are the Children, Mars (live in Cummings, GA), Sail Away, Not Afraid (extended version), Carousel and Madness. Other great covers are I Hate Myself for Loving Ypu, Symphony of Destruction, Paranoid, Seven Nation Army, Master of Puppets featuring Aiden Fisher, and if you want to go back to the very beginning, Crazy Train performed live on the Santa Monica Pier. Their parents were born in Romania but didn’t meet until their families immigrated to the us. Their dad was born in the Transylvania region not far from Count Vlad’s castle, he’s the one Dracula is based on. Their band name (Liliac) is Romanian for bat, more specifically vampire bat so that’s why you see somewhat of a vampire theme, coffin shaped guitar cases, bat logo, etc. They don’t use those much any more, as the band has matured. They often use costumes to fit their videos, so camo for The Trooper, white stripes for Seven Nation Army, carnival for Carousel, etc.They are currently on an extensive tour of the US with a fill in drummer until the summer because Abigail recently got married and is settling into her married life, but she announced she’d be back in a few months. 😊
Oh and knowing Lulu loves hair, if you choose to watch more videos, around the time they recorded Seven Nation Army, both Sam (guitar) and Melody (vocals) cut their hair short because they donated it to a charity that makes wigs for children who have lost theirs due to chemotherapy or other medical treatments. Melody has been growing hers back out, Sam seems to be enjoying shorter hair, probably because it’s easier to play complex solos.

From a concert many years ago, I suggest you listen to Mars (live - an original song) and from the same show, their Janis Joplin cover, "Piece of My Heart". Recent Liliac "hits" are Carousel and Madness, although I've always liked "Nothing" - an epic breakup song that shows off the entire band. To me, it's Melody's most impressive performance. Seen them live twice and hope I can again this year. I feel like I've watched them grow up!

yes hat's Melo 's voice, I been a fan for years, and she has a very great rocker voice, people can't believe it. Also any time a group does a "Cover", there singing or then there just Lip-Syncing and not doing a cover, some will pretend to play the instruments also and not do it, but not on this video. This video, she is singing and there playing the music also

im just here for the drummer lol. they are an amazing family band. this is what got them noticed but they have a lot of stuff on YT. the drummer with her style/drumming personality reminds so much of Tommy Lee of Motley Crue. just my opinion though.
Sounds nothing like The Warning. Melody isnt lip syncing. Thats her voice. You need to check out more of Liliac. They are much older now and have toured the US the past 2 or 3 years. This video is about 5 or 6 years old.
