No, more like these casinos lost tons of people during the pandemic, and the never came back because they found jobs with higher wages and better benefits. Thus the casinos do not have enough employees to clean properly, some casinos only clean the rooms once every three days, restrooms are left soiled, food and used condoms are left on and under beds, etc,. Until the casino owners shell out more money to keep employees and bring more in, the sanitary conditions will only get WORSE.

My daughter and myself stayed at the Flamingo last year and the room was filthy. I took pictures of the dirty chase, hair on the toilet, stains all over, clipped nails on a chair. It was disgusting. We called down to the front desk and said we wanted a clean room. They said that they didn’t have any vacancies. I then took the kpictures and took them down to the desk and asked for a manager . When the manager came I showed them the pictures. We got a different room right away. Don’t let them tell you that they have no a clean room to give you, they do.

I handed her the confirmation print out she said sir we dont have that here. Put is in a different tower the room was layered in dust busted furniture hair on floor. The grounds all outside front and back it was so dirty dead leaves everywhere stairs cracked falling apart fountains have cracks leaking. the pools were nice Ill say that. Now the next year we stayed at the updated rooms at tropicana it was awesome. THe front desk workers check in check out were so nice. Our room was so nice and clean. _Two things come to mind. The first being the fact that long before Harrah's was sold to Vici Properties ran by Caesar's Entertainment, it was a premier establishment(I preface Harrah's Lake Tahoe which was once a five star, five diamond property. Heck Harrah's Reno was also a well ran property, especially in the Housekeeping Department)! The second thing is William Fisk Harrah would be rolling over in his grave knowing his name was being tarnished by how his properties were being ran, starting with room cleanliness! Great vlog today Jacob, as always._

  • @williamhiland4378
    @williamhiland4378 11 місяців тому +82

Jacob, that's just a brutal place. You can always count on Caesars to run a property down and not be clean. The Rio comes to mind. The prices on everything seemed crazy with nothing to back it up. In other words, if I'm going to get fleeced I want a great hotel experience. The 6/5 blackjack sucks. I would never consider staying there and this presentation reinforces that. Nice work!

I was in Planet Hollywood this past weekend. I had used the tub. I went to drain the tub and heard “gurgling” in both sinks and toilet. Within seconds, water, filthy smelly water gushed out of all sinks and toilet. The smell and filth was ungodly. I called the hotel operator and it took maintenance 6 hours to clean the room. Upon checkout, I was charged a $299.99 cleaning fee. I called my casino “host” and had to debate it with him and the on duty manager. Diamond Plus. Caesar’s is rotten. No more gambling at Caesar’s.

Jacob, I moved to Vegas in 2021 and enjoy watching you and the crew of Vegas UA-camrs. I have been coming to Vegas for all of my adult life, more than 30 years, and one of the things that astounds me is the lack of pride that people have in the jobs that they do, and how overworked and undervalued people are these days. It just really shows in hotels, restaurants and the service industry in general. I don't know how we work our way out of this dilemma. Thank you for not sugar coating the deficiencies. Channels like yours are part of the solution. They provide a glimpse into the shoddy conditions at these businesses, and when and if demand softens it will force companies to pay attention to the small details that are currently being ignored. $400+ for a two night stay in a place like this is criminal. I've patronized Bobby Flay's high end restaurants for years, but seeing what his brand is putting out, and the prices being charged, will keep me away. Keep on fighting the good fight!!

I realized the exact same thing about three months after moving to Las Vegas. Sadly this is the home of "work to" culture.
Everyone "works to" the minimum standard they have to in order to keep their poorly paying jobs. Employers have no incentive to promote or give raises and employees have no incentive to go above and beyond.
      Its a vicious cycle....

If resorts paid the staff and lower level management more, these resorts would be able to pick from a better talent pool and therefore have better service all around. Too bad that the owners/investors would rather make even more (short-term) millions instead of improving their business. It's like that with too many larger companies around the country/world.

It does not seem as though ANY hotel/resort has tried to keep things as clean as they were prior. I you could only see some places I have stayed at in foreign countries, you would never stay there! Thank you for keeping us up to date on various places throughout the city. It has been a couple of years since I have visited, and I am only a hop, skip, and a jump (in Phoenix) away. Hi Jacob, long time listener, first time caller here. I just stayed at Harrah's recently during the week leading to memorial day weekend. Since it was a last minute thing, my hotel of choice was fully booked and my backup place only books 2 night stays or longer. Harrah's was my last minute solution. I booked through the Harrah's website and had no problems booking or finding my confirmation email. I arrived early and was not charged a fee for it, though I will say DO NOT waste your time checking in by yourself. All the guests that arrived at the same time I did all had issues with the self check in/out machines, so just get in line and from the get go. Trinity was also the lady who helped me check in and she is super sweet and very professional! I booked a standard room just like the one in the video but my experience was completely different to Jacob's. The bathroom was clean and well stocked, though the shampoo/ body wash dispenser was also leaking like in the video. The room I had was clean and everything was in its rightful place, so I'm not sure if they stuck you in whatever they had, because even the other room I booked for the person coming with me on the trip was clean, and this person is a snob when it comes to cleanliness. We even saw the lady that was cleaning the rooms the day we were checking out and she was cleaning very diligently. I'm definitely not trying to undermine your experience, I just want to offer another more recent experience at Harrah's. It was not my favorite hotel, but as a last minute stay, it was great.

100% agree with how your first impressions with the check in process can really shape your stay. My first trip to Vegas was July 2016 and I stayed at the Luxor. I wanted something cheap since it was my first time and I didn't have a ton of money. Holy crap.. I was in line to check in for 2 HOURS. And I'm disabled and walk with a cane. I was in absolute agony and was so tired that when I got to my room I just collapsed and went to bed. Absolutely horrible. I watched and the next day the check in was even longer!!
Thankfully since then I've stayed at Luxor, NYNY, Bally's(Horseshoe) and Excalibur and I've never had a crazy check in like that again. Even going back to Luxor 6 months later it was better. But I'll never forget the two hours in line to check in and how much pain I was in.. and how much I was thinking if that was how all of Vegas was going to be then perhaps it was a mistake to go. It definitely started my trip and my first trip ever, on the wrong side.

We’ve stayed at Harrahs twice, the last time being in 2018. The only issued was the aircon in the room wasn’t working but they sent a maintenance guy up and it was sorted right away. We’re heading back to Vegas in June next year so hoping it’s still as good.
Thanks for the great vid mate 👍

Nice video Jacob!!! Harrah's was where I stayed at for my first trip to Vegas. This was at the end of March 1997. It was fine then but that was a long time ago. If I were going to choose a budget friendly hotel I would probably go with the Luxor. I have never stayed there but my experience when I have been there has been good. It sounds like Harrah's is past it's prime.

I stayed at the Harrahs last September for one night because it was cheaper to fly out to Vegas and spend an extra day. My room was ok. The room was comp’ed but we had to pay resort fees. The room was better than what I expected but nothing remarkable. It served its purposes for the night and we moved to my comp’ed 4night stay at the Venetian plus I never have to pay resort fees.

I stay at a lot of the Caesar properties in Vegas and this is happening at all of their hotels! Housekeeping never comes during the stay even if you ask for them. Customer service has died at their properties and it's very sad. Anything they can do to save a few bucks!

Hey! Love your videos and reviews. Used to clean houses with my grandma when younger and love the attention to detail. If you ever wanted a side hustle or to help out the hotels they may comp or pay for the advice or if you had time even instruction to their management on how to clean through a room effectively and efficiently. Used to be a manager and it's something that I know I would appreciate as having someone who can help train your staff doesn't just help the one unhappy guest, but will prevent more unhappy guests in the future so tremendous value if you're able to give your time to them for a proper walk through. Each hotel I know will be different but then again, more clients for you as well lol.

Very good video Jacob. I completely agree with you regarding how a person is treated from the front desk check-in to...the more important...the condition of the room. That is an issue which happens often and should be addressed to management. Let's face it, if the room is filthy, your first thought is hummm...bed bugs?
I, myself, have addressed similar situations to management. After all, we are paying for the RESORT FEE! Always enjoy watching each and every one of your videos, as well as Adrenaline Slots . Great job!

We haven't been to Vegas since 2011 as we sold our business which brought us to Vegas for over 30 years buying product for our next season in the Shoe business. I stayed at Harrahs back in 2022. No one from housekeeping had cleaned my room. The bed was tossled, towels were on the floor, and the bathroom was filthy. I went back to the check-in desk, and the attendant moved me to another room very swiftly without issue. I will say, I won't be staying at Harrahs again.

Over the last 20 years, we've stayed at Harrah's Las Vegas and the now-closed Harrah's Reno. The rooms have always been subpar similar to their Awards program now. As a past Diamond member through three different ownerships, it's just become worse every time losing our VIP lounges and deteriorated accommodations. The bottom line is that Caesars Hotel in Las Vegas is awesome, and the rest of the properties are junk!!!

@@JacobslifeinVegas Caesars properties always charging for early check-in, even when you are 15min away from their 4pm check-in time is ridiculous. The concierges can’t even override the early check-in charge on the kiosks. I’ve never been asked to pay more at any MGM property and have always gotten my room before noon. And also that comp they gave you is absolutely insulting… $10 slots and $10 food… wtf?!

Good, thorough video Jacob 🙌 I like that you're giving tons of specific detail with variety for everyone, and showing your true experience. I love that you are always kind to and respectful of the employees even if your situation is bad. I get wayyyy better offers with MGM vs Caesar's. Even Hard Rock being a new player is giving multiple free nights with food and resort credit, which I've booked twice already. Caesar's is showing to be the worst of the lot unfortunately. Anyway, your videos have gotten better and better with time. Good job bub!

We just got back from Vegas 3 days ago. We will never come back to Vegas again. It’s very crowded on Thursday night. We could barely move on the side walk of the strip. Homeless and drug addicted zombie are everywhere on the sidewalk of the strip. Don’t eat buffet at Wynn. It’s way overpriced $80 per person including tax for dinner on Thursday afternoon and the foods are terrible. The snowcrab are very small and most of the foods are cold and hard.
