No question. I'm on my second G70. Had a 2019, now a 2023.
@@SlipAngleG70 they just officially announced they are discontinuing the G70. Sad day
@@HammysShowcase Genesis confirmed that is false news.
Hell no a Hyundai is never on the same level as a Mercedes 😂
@@trustyoungpierre9959 it's better
Hyundai hired BMW (and I think Audi) design engineers years ago to build the Genesis, and a designer from Rolls Royce to design the interior - and they succeeded. Over the years I leased a BMW 5 Series RWD, the a 530 AWD, the a Cadillac CTS when its specs beat the 3 Series BMW, then back to a BMW 440xi Gran Coupé. Then I researched and leased the G70 3.3T Sport. It was/is so good compared with any other car I’ve owned or leased, I bought it - for all the same reasons as you. ENJOY!
Couldn't agree more. They also hired Bentley engineers to design it as well
@@HammysShowcaseBentley designers must have work on the grill lol
Obviously they forgot to hire German engineers. There are no improvements in that area...same old, same old. ua-cam.com/video/Bl644w_b4Gg/v-deo.html
shoulda got a m340
@@Rainer19. I had 3 BMWs before (530i, 540xi, 440xi Gran Coupé) interspersed with the Cadillac CTS’. Each one was chosen on performance, comfort and price, together with literature on each as it became “car of the year” - G70 for both 2019 and 2020 - and I chose the G70 as the best all round. Better steering than the BMW, (YES!), better suspension comfort for journeys (Lexus too soft, BMW too hard and bouncy, G70 just right), better warranty, more advanced safety systems (a generation ahead of the Germans, though they may have caught up, more functions and still $15,000.00 less in price! Reliability is expected to be better and repairs less costly. What’s there not to like?
I have to agree with you…German cars 🚗 way over rated. Unreliable money pits. The Koreans and Japanese are much better. I do prefer Acura and Lexus…but Korean is the second choice. German are last choice.
One of the main reasons I love my Stinger is because of how "special" it is. You rarely ever see any other Stingers (and G70's) on the road, at least where I live. I've had people in Porsche's, Audi's, BMW's, all the expensive German cars, ask me what car I'm driving and that they've never seen anything like it.
Funny you say that about Stingers, I see them all over the place where I live 😂. G70s on the other hand. I've only seen 5 on the road, they are extremely rare it seems. I have people gawking and staring every where I go. No one knows what it is, and often people ask me if it's some type of Mercedes haha
@@HammysShowcase I'm not surprised. It's worth a serious look. These German vehicles are HIGH maintenance.
In Ottawa Canada, I see stingers every day
@@jonathans4503 😁
@@HammysShowcaseinteresting. I’ve seen a ton of G70s and only about 3-4 stingers ever
Nice ! I got the exact same one. Color and trim. $38K with 10K miles. Can't get enough of it. Highly satisfied. 👍👍
That's an incredible deal if you got the sport prestige with the V6 motor.
@@HammysShowcasefr an INSANE deal
The reason exowner sold this car is korean engine is not reliable
@@HammysShowcase Got the 3.3T RWD Sport Prestige. Only downside I think the previous owner prob parked it outside in the sun a lot. The chrome trim around the doors is a lil washed out. But gonna do a chrome delete anyway. Matte black all chrome. 👍
German cars are good while still in warranty, after that, forget it. Waaay over-rated and poor value for money. Trading on their past reputation from years ago.
You are definitely right in your assessment. I'll probably get the Genesis G80 myself. Live in Germany and surrounded by people who only consider German cars. the Genesis beats every dirtier Volkswagen.
Bullshit…an m340 is better than this in every way…more luxury, way faster,
Exactly why i only lease foreign cars lol
@@djzulumask2138way faster yes but actually less luxury. You can't even get ventilated seats in the m340
That’s crazy y’all say this but want a genesis
I'm on my second Audi right now. It's well out of its warranty, at 182,000 miles, but I love the car. The quality of the interior is a big part of it. In fact, I think the newer Audis have lost the nice, but understated styling that I really appreciate. I've been looking at Genesis, myself, and the interior of this car reminds me of everything I like about Audi interiors from a couple generations back. I don't think you made a bad choice at all.
And regarding performance... unless you're racing, how much do you even really need? My car is hardly the fastest model Audi made in its day, but I still pass people in 'faster' cars on the highway all the time.
Most people don’t need a damn thing over 280hp .
Well, it's there whenever you need it.....
Good to know that the interior gives you a good drive.
I love the backview of this car🔥
Question for you, you purchased a used car in this market for 10k less than a new one but what was the interest rate? Because brand new they are between 3%-5% and used rates are 8-12%.
Nice review! If the car does everything well, then that’s all that matters. I’ve always liked and respected Genesis products, hell…their rise to luxury prominence was a page taken straight out of Lexus’ main playbook from the early 90s. Spec sheets do not mean anything on your standard non-prepped streets. We all drive quick cars, so the appropriate comparisons are value, build quality, exclusivity, design, and how it makes you feel piloting it. Happy motoring!
Bought for its high depreciation value.
I love my 2023 G70. My only complaints are no wireless Android auto/ apple CarPlay, the front and rear defrost buttons make it harder to access the wireless charging pad. I just feel they are in the way. And sometimes when I rest my arm in the center I rub against the airbag tag sticking out on the driver's seat
Great video man. Def earned a like and new sub. Can’t wait to see what mods you do tbh it probably doesn’t take much maybe an exhaust kit and tune
Appreciate it. I installed some cold air intakes recently, check out my video on those
Nice interior indeed. This one and basically all modern Volvo interiors are what I love.
The G70 wagon would be fun to have, though I could never afford it.
Good looking car. The engine should las for a while but the body and the constant style changes along with spotty resale could make this problematic.
But, the powertrain is definitely solid..
Great overview. As a fellow small YT channel, I love these videos. No unecessary crap, just straight to the point. Subbed! :)
That is the whole point of my channel. Straight to the point and no BS. Glad to see you stick around for more.
I think your merch idea is really cool honestly it looks super clean. Also a bit of constructive criticism for your videos, please consider buying a lens hood for your camera, it makes the video much easier on the eyes.
I've had a black 2022 3.3T and the only thing I see missing that would have just been the icing on the cake in my opinion would have been some ambient interior lighting.
100% agree
Definitely. But you can get put in at a pretty decent price. At a custom shop
The only thing genesis is missing now is to have a halo car that can compete with the M, AMG, and the RS's. Their reliability and the design language is already up there. However, I really feel like they are missing a lot of "feels" in their sports car line up. Just waiting for a 500+HP car from them!
Their reliability is up where? Design language isn’t theirs, it’s somebody else’s design language so that’s not really a reason to choose this over the originals. This car only appeals to a certain buyer, someone who thinks they’re getting more for their money based off of what it looks like.
This interior doesn’t look better than any $300k interior. Please, those guys were also Hyundai fanboys.
@@G-Rated I've owned this for 3 years put in 120k on it. No issues at all. You sound like someone who thinks they are smart. I've never had one person come up to me and say this car looks like a bmw, mercedes etc. If anything they compared it to a bentley or aston martin. I'd take that over the hundreds of drones who drive mercs and bmws. 365 horsepower and 4.4 0-60 is impressive for $55,000. I got performance, luxury and reliability. Cry more.
@@COVENANT_ENFORCERThey compared it to a Bentley or an Aston Martin?😂 you sure? 🤭 Whoever made those comparison don’t know shit about cars.
@@G-Rated Yes, the designers came from other manufacturers, but they still worked for the Korean brands for some amount of time, and therefore they have made their own design language within the span of 5 to 6 years.
@@COVENANT_ENFORCER the only ones crying are Genesis owners who thought they were buying something they didn’t, and you sound like an owner who’s trying to prevent buyer’s remorse.
Glad to hear your G70 didn’t experience the same fate as others. Even MotorTrend’s 3.3T G70 was out of commission shortly after they obtained it and with *major* transmissions issues. Was your G70 your first Hyundai product? The answer to this question would surface A LOT. I totally get it, Hyundai’s North American marketing team is pristine. Look how well they’ve hidden their poor build quality for years and you still get people commenting about how their reliability is “UP”. They have y’all wrapped around their fingers for sure.
I agree w everything you said! You car is absolutely gorgeous ❤ Good luck and God bless you!!
This was a very good review on the Genesis. I'm looking to get one possibly next year.
nice looking car - although i see lots of design cues from Mercedes C class, Genesis G70 does look nice and actually better
I think the Koreans are permantly looking at german car makers for design inspiration. It's just so obvious.
They duplicated the Mercedes without any shame
Giving Cadillac CT4 in the rear for sure!
This looks nothing like a c class
I don't know how you're seeing any similar design cues from the C-Class.
I purchased a 2018 Ultimate 5.0 G80 and absolutely love it. It costs me right at 31k at 58k. I basically decided to buy this car because of one: its my dream car lol and two: maintenance. Most parts are shared among other hyundai cars. I'm planning on buying another genesis after I'm done with my current one.
I remember sitting in the original Genesis back in 2009 when Hyundai had just come out with it and I thought it looked so good and like nothing on the road. It became my favorite car and I had a clip from a magazine that I carried for years. Lol I loved the original design. This g70 is by far the best looking car design they have. The g80 and g90 look a bit odd, kinda like whales or something.
nice dude, this car is sick no doubt. The taillights are definitely something else, grats on your vehicle
How long have you had your license ???
I own 2019 G70 Prestige AWD with the V6 engine. It’s the best car I’ve ever owned. After over four years of ownership I’ve only had one little problem with the turn signals, and that was covered under the warranty. Buying this car was the best decision I ever made.
Love the interior. I do wish they had done more with the front seat backs. It looks like cheap plastic but I love the overall look and quality of this car.
Love the t-shirt. Tasteful and well placed graphic both front and back!
Much appreciated!
Hey man great video, I’m in the exact position you were, saved up for 2 years and now want something sporty, unique and pretty interior, can’t seem to find the Siberian ice color anywhere for the 3.3t, how would you recommend going for that color?
hey, so i used the website called autotempest.com. I spent weeks watching it to find the exact car i wanted and in the exact spec. I ended up having to drive 5 hours to pick up my G70. Autotempest pulls listings from every major car listing site and compiles it all into one spot. Be patient and consistently keep an eye on the website for new listings or updates. Like i said, once i started looking, it took several weeks leading into months for me to find this spec in the Siberian ice color. It is extremely rare and hard to find. Just dont give up or compromise, one will eventually turn up
Nice review. The G70 is one of the few cars I am considering to buy. I work on cars and the 3.3L is very reliable.
You can find them used for really good prices. I would highly recommend trying to find one certified pre-owned if you decide to go the Genesis route.
@HammysShowcase I spent a lot of time looking online tonight but it seems finding a used '22 or '23 AWD Sport Advanced is difficult. I own a couple of Corvettes so the base G70 won't cut the mustard if you know what I mean.😉
I spent several weeks locating mine. Try finding a sport prestige, v6 motor, with obsidian black interior and to top it off, in the color siberian ice. Had to drive several states over to purchase it lol. You'll find it if you're motivated enough lol. Definitely trying to find an AWD makes it even more difficult.. I used AutoTempest.com to locate mine. Very helpful tool
@@HammysShowcase thanks!
I’m so happy to here this, since I now own this 2023 beauty
I completely agree with your choice to get a Genesis. I too was looking for a new car for the last 2 years or so and Mercedes was what I had in mind. I got so captivated by the brand recognition and a few other things that I had initially failed to realize how overpriced they were for what you got. Two months ago I got myself a new G80 and it literally has things in it that a $100K Mercedes doesn’t even have. These cars are not only a great decision in terms of style and features but are an economically sound one as well.
I bought a 2015 Kia Cadenza with 34K miles back in 2019 for $16,500. I was thinking of getting a Mercedes C Class at the time but the more I thought about it and the more research I did on the Cadenza made me to go with the Kia. Couldn't beat the overall cost and value seeing how that model depreciated so heavily at that time. I'm now just over 100k miles and was recently offered $10k for trade in..... I'll be bumping up to a Genesis next but I'll keep the Kia as my 2nd vehicle (currently it's my number one of two). That Genesis line up is sweet.....!!!
22 g70 sport advanced owner. Love it
I paid 50k for my brand new car I understand tho that buying a new car is a terrible decision I also didn't want a car that was beat on. So in my case 4k more for brand new wasn't bad for me. Congrats on the car
I totally understand buying a car new for those reasons and even considered it myself.
Same here ...
At the time I bought my new car used cars were as expensive or more
in todays market, if you put enough down and dont buy too much of the add on dealership bs, you probably came out postive on equity instead of negative or even. Used to be a terrible idea, but now the market is all out of wack. I think you made a great choice.
Man I'm ready to take one of these for a test drive. I'm digging it a lot.
I work at the docks and I get to move these sometimes, can you make a video going over how all the controls work? 😊
I think you made a very good decision You seem to have really taken your time being thorough for this car purchase. Also this car is AWESOME I LOVE IT!
Spent two years making my decision while I saved up my money. So yes lol, it was not a last minute purchase haha
Good choice. You save some money, lower maintenance costs, and still got a really good look ride. I would have gone with the IS500.
IS500 is way too much money for what you get

@killersaxsolo agreed but lexus made the stupid decision not to give the IS500 available AWD.
@@dieseldouche7735 when you consider that Lexus has been pairing their AWD with the sluggish 6 speed instead of the 8 speed, not a loss. Would rather be able to row through the gears (yes, I know it’s an auto, but you get the point)

Great breakdown!
I remember when I was going to get an Equis I thought it was one of the most aesthetically pleasing cars I had ever seen. I would most definitely purchase one of these after some research.
Congrats, you researched the G70 against the Germans and liked what you saw (on paper a winner). I did the same thing with the GV70 3.5 Sport Prestige, against the BMW X3 M40i, Audi SQ5 and MB GLC43 (again on paper, a winner), took a test drive, traded my Q50 Red Sport on the spot. And there will be a Genesis dealership in two months next to the Hyundai dealership where I bought the GV70. You chose wisely, Genesis is winning a lot of awards, deservedly so, they brought in the best talent in the automotive industry and it shows. November will be two years, my 2022 GV70 3.5 Sport Prestige stickered for $64,045, now the 2024 is $74K, Genesis has earned market share and the pricing is starting to climb but still a bargain in 2023. Enjoy your G70, like the Siberian Ice.
Man! Siberian Ice is my favorite! I'm waiting to see what they do with the '24 version. You getting this for $10k under MSRP and it's CPO is a STEAL! Congrats again!
In Korea they have already released the 2024 models. Only changes are they made the AC controls digital and then they replaced the 2.0liter 4cyl with a 2.5 liter 4cyl. I expect similar changes on the US models
According to an article about the G70 that I was reading a couple of weeks ago it says is gonna be discontinued by 24 only the G80 and up would be available they’re trying to focus on more EVs lineups 😢

I have a 2023 Audi RS3 and the Genesis G70/GV70 has always been a head turner for me. It might not be as quick but it looks damn stylish and luxurious. I actually pointed one of my bestfriends towards a GV70 over comparable German or Lexus SUVs. He loved it and then bought the GV70. It actually came with a 10 yr complimentary maintenance which I thought was insane.

Beautiful car. Great review. I just wana say the value proposition is amazing. So kudos there. But that G70 is definitely quicker than most cars on the road. I mostly see mom car suvs, corollas camrys & civics, work trucks a few muscle cars and 18 wheelers on the road lol. Now if your talking from a car enthusiasts point of view. Its still pretty quick because lets be real, how many fully loaded m3s, and mercedes amgs do you see on the road? Not many. Especially in this economy. The bmws & benzs I see are base model 3 series & c classes. Amazing car , amazing review 👏
make a video on maintenance on the long run!
I used to be a Euro fanboy ever since my first new VW I got as a graduation present when I graduated high school (a 1996 Jetta GT). I then graduated to BMW as I got my first job out of college...and kept on driving BMW's and Audi's and Volvo's exclusively...until I found the pattern of expensive maintenance once the warranties were out, and random issues before that were covered but were annoying. When the Stinger came out in 2017 I jumped on it.....I leasted t for two years, and then purchased the base mode with AWD (since I lived in a snowy climate then). When I moved to a hot climate I got rid of the Stinger AWD and bought a 2022 Alfa Romeo Giulia...which was wonderful to drive but had so many issues in the 10,000 miles I owned it, I got rid of it and got a 2023 G70 Sport Prestige and haven't looked back. I've driven the car so much, I've put almost 15K miles on it in 10 months and it's been FLAWLESS! And yes, I was going to pass it up until I actually went to see it in person....the lines of this car inside and out don't translate well into video for some reason. This will be my forever car; I will never go back to BMW or Audi..
This seems like a great purchase for you. I think you miss the boat on some of your points and it feels more like a justification video. I think its a good car but its no Benz or even Bimmer. I'd agree on the value proposition, but I'd also have long term concerns in regard to outside of warranty repairs.
You get a lot of bell and whistles for the money. Love it. And what a beauty to look at.
love the video and the t shirts are cool.
I’ve been looking at the GV70 myself. Looks very nice. I agree that you get a LOT for you money with these.
I own GV70 2023 and can say it is totally worth it. Also if you can wait, they are about to upgrade and redesign the interior for 2025 models to a more art deco styling, its absolutely beautiful.
@@h.m.8589 I appreciate the tip but I won’t buy new. I have never bought a new vehicle in my 40 years of driving. I let the first owner eat the massive initial depreciation and pick one up second hand with low miles.
Jesus loves you all, thank God that you're fortunate enough to own this, AMEN!!
You have excellent taste. I was a BMW guy but the Genesis is 90% driving dynamics but the value is so much better with the Genny...better warranty, better tech, arguably better ride (goldilocks) and for me, better styling. I also like that they're so much more rare (though I am seeing quite a few more now). The Genesis will likely be more reliable over the long term too.. Will be purchasing a GV70 in the future...
Agreed, 100% better styling than BMW
Congrats on the car! 🎉 I also have a 2023 G70 but mine is Makalu gray, RWD and like yours sport prestige twin turbo v6! I love this car and cross shopped it to Cadillac CT5V and Acura TLX type S….G70 surprised me versus the other two because it felt just as good if not better acceleration/handling wise…the other two brands didn’t want to negotiate on price and Genesis did, so I pulled the trigger! I first heard about the Genesis G70 in 2019 UA-cam videos. People were raving about it. It even won the 2019 MotorTrend Car of the Year award.
In 2020, I was looking to replace my Acura 3.2TL. I went to check out the G70 in person (don't trust what you see in videos).
I was completely blown away. I loved the exterior. The gorgeous jewel-like grille that reminded me of Bentley. The lovely rear end. The lovely winged badging.
I loved the interior. Luxurious leather seats. Great steering wheel. Lovely dash.
I loved the steering and handling, and the torque.
I considered the sticker price, the value (standard features), the warranty, the maintenance cost. It was a no-brainer. I, too, considered BMW.
I was disappointed in the 2022 design refresh. I can't honestly say I like the split head/tail lights and the new grille. But putting that aside, it's still a great car and I highly recommend it.
Great choise ❤
Just watching your video and could not agree more with you on the reasoning behind your purchase. Really like the Siberian Ice. I too, just bought a CPO G70 because of the value. I simply could not find anything better at the price point for the money, performance, warranty, etc. With respect to performance versus the M340i. It sticks just as well pulling .95gs on the skidpad with summer tires same as the BMW. Brakes with the Brembo are comparable. Now, with nearly 20K in savings over NOT buying a BMW (esp CPO G70), you can put about $5K into it and it will run with just about anything on the road especially if AWD. It's a really nice car and your money simply goes further.

Primarily looking for a 4 door luxury sedan with a v8 or at least a v6 with nice power train so any advice or help would be that gas n lol I know ppl are gonna be like why the hell a 24y old wants a big heavy luxury sedan but that’s what I want lol
This is definitely a luxury car with a luxury ride. The suspension is super smooth and it is super quiet inside the cabin. Very minimal roadnoise. On top of that, this car does not have a throaty aggressive exhaust like you would get on a V8 or other sports cars. Because this car leans more on the side of luxury, the exhaust note is more tame. It defnitley has an exhaust note, but nothing that would sound like a V8 or AMG. I would say it drives more on the side of a luxury car than a true sports car such as the AMG and Porsches you listed. The powertrain is enough to make anyone smile and shout with excitement and also fast enough to land you in jail in under 5 seconds. This car launches crazy hard and the feel of acceleration is insane. Some people complain about this car not being fast enogh, but lets be honest, you cant hardly have fun in this car for more than 5 seconds before your doing triple the speed limit in most cases. If you find the powertrain to be lacking, you can easily slap a JB4 tune on it and itll be just as fast as an M340i if not faster. This car comes with all the bells and whistles if you get the sport prestige package. End of the day tho, go test drive each car you want. I test drove an A35 AMG and what not impressed at all. Sure if was nice and a mercedes, but it was slow as heck, did not have all the features the G70 has. yet it was more expensive. Same with a few other cars i was interested in. I was in love with the Audi TTS, but the performance was extremely underwhelming and it was wayy more expensive than the G70 and didnt have nearly as much tech. Those are all things you gotta weigh when searching for your next car. Get out there and test drive them, youll never know until you do. Hope this helps. Oh, the backseats are non-existent in this car, you can only fit kids or very small adults back there. Something to consider.
I'm sold. Drive the 2.0 and 3.3 and sir both are amaaaazing period. Now to get one bought
You'll be blown away with the 3.3. It launches so hard, takes your breathe away lol
I'm literally doing the opposite lol. I was dead set on getting a new G70, but recently discovered a love for the BMW M4, so I put an order in for one and am waiting on it to finish production now.
Close to 100k?
isnt the m4 literally 2x the price of a g70 lol?
@@brockmcdaniel2725 shhhhhh, let's not talk about that 😂

2. Genesis G70
3. Tesla model 3 performance
2023 G70 prestige package at $46k is a great value - If I find one for that price in my area I’m buying.
The only thing the G70 is missing is ambient lighting
I couldn't get the 3.8, but im curious. Do you think a 2.0t for 29k with 43k miles would be a decent deal?
If you could afford $10k more, you can get a 2022 or 2023 3.3t sport prestige for mid to high $30s now. Check out AutoTempest.com, search for 2022 and 2023 models with the V6 motor, there are several listed for $40k and below. Just to put things into perspective. The G70 loses value insanely fast, great for used car buyers
B58 is unmatched. Genesis still has a wayyyyys to go. You’re losing every roll or dig race by a mile if a B58 pulls up next to you
Yep, agreed. I literally said that in this video under the performance discussion section if you paid any attention
BMWs are known for speed, but in reliability, not a chance.
@@maga6319 as crazy as this sounds bmw reliability rating has sky rocketed since they added the B58/S58 motors

It’s an interesting looking car and yes the interior is quite nice. I test drove it and compared it to an S4, C43 and M340i but the m340i xdrive won on top. The Hyundai, sorry I meant the genesis g70 is not on par with the bmw m340i x drive in terms of driving dynamics, connectivity, tech features, etc etc. As in my opinion the m340i leaves this Hyundai sorry I meant genesis g70 in the dust.
M340i is hands down the better performance car. However, to spec it with the same tech and features as the Genesis will cost significantly more. Starting price of the M340i is $60k as compared to the fully loaded Genesis being $56k. Based on the car builder on the BMW website, the M340i will all comparative tech will cost $67k plus tax. So you are looking at an easy $70k.
Wait, wait.... we'll have this discussion in 4 years... just after your warranty runs out .... Wait, wait ...
BMW looks like Dog Ass and is NOT worth the Price.
Buy a Porsche Before you buy a BMW, Period.
If you want an ugly + Fast car, just buy Tesla.
@bigden2755 There will probably be some gremlins in the M340i but this particular engine they are now using, the B58 is said to be trending towards being an amazingly reliable engine. So much so that Toyota chose to use it in the Supra and they don't generally use engines that blow up 3 feet beyond 100,000 miles. Not knocking the value that Genesis cars are but I think BMW is taking a legit run on kicking the reputation of building unreliable cars. With the B58 engine anything BMW with a 40i designation since it went into production might still be going strong in 10 years with no warranty and with the original engine.
@@mckenziebrowne3874 I totally agree with you concerning the inline 6 in BMWs. They're bulletproof. Probably the greatest engine in the car industry. It's so versatile. But wait for some elecronic gremlins, suspension parts fails ect. I have many friends who used to own Germans..... not anymore..
Sat in one at the Toronto Auto Show when they were introduced. It is still on my list of cars I would buy when the time comes to get a new car! The G70 is GENESIS' compact Sedan but you wouldn't know it with all the room it has!
About to get into the car buying market; I’m torn between the Genesis G70 and the Acura TLX; what are your thoughts?
Personally I don't care for the Acura. Looks like your every day average car. I also didn't care for the interior of it. Those are all my opinions tho. Best thing you can do is go test drive each car and decide which one makes you happier at the end of the day 😁.

Man's never heard of Lexus or Acura
Both junk. That's a fact.
@@maga6319you wild for this comment. I ain’t denying for the price point you obv get more when it comes to a genesis, but Acura & Lexus both a better brand hands down
@@ZACaro Acura still haven't fixed their transmission issues and still having problems and Lexus especially the new ones have their transmissions on the RX's blown out under 5k miles. Incoming recall coming up soon.
@maga6319 The false. My whole family members all have Lexus, they've been soo damn reliable. My dad's old 2005 Lexus es330 has over 400k miles right now. Not a single transmission and engine problems. Just wear and tare like dead tail lights. Timing belt was down every 150k miles by my dad himself and still running strong. I on the other hand, just bought a 2023 G70 3.3t sports prestige awd. However, I know it isn't going to last 400k miles.
@@maga6319 I had an Acura for 10 years over 170k miles and never once had an issue with my transmission. Obv cars nowadays aren’t quality controlled like they used to be, but saying genesis is better than Acura or Lexus is crazy, seeing they’re two of the most reliable brands out there. Shouldn’t even get started on Hyundai’s open recalls.. but there’s a reason why you can get more amenities for less $$$ when you buy a KDM car…
You probably bought that because you couldn't afford the German cars
You are exactly right. I couldnt afford $65k+ (which is how much the equivalent german car is to this) so i bought something that to me looked way nicer and more unique, but much more affordable. To each his own. :D

Why did you leave the hangar in the back seat?
im in love with this car now
What about Volvo? Did you take a look at the S60 or S90?
Car shopping now. This is my number one brand at the moment! What exactly do I need to get to get those wheels? Most of the ones in my area have the silver ones and the stitching inside missing.
You need the 3.3T V6 motor with the sport prestige package. That powertrain mixed with the Sport prestige package gives you everything you see on my car. You cannot get this interior and rims on the 4cyl powertrain. Big jump in price to get the rims and interior, but I would recommend finding one used. These cars drop like crazy in value after two years. You can find 2022 year models in the low to mid 40s now that are fully loaded. Hope that helps

I have had other cars, but all my Hyundia's have treated me well and were very reliable. I have a 2005 Elantra and then I upgraded to a 2009 Hyundia Sonata GLS and last year I upgraded again to a 2014 Hyundia Genesis 2.0t Awesome Car!!!! I'd get a G70 in a heartbeat too!
Great Looking Car! Real Good Value Too!
The only problem for me is the Genesis dealership location is kinda far away from my home, however, the warranty is the Best!
I just read an article that Genesis is planning (hopefully, this isn't true) to delete the G70 from their model line-up.
Have you seen or heard anything about this? Oh, another thing... the interior in these cars are unbeatable. Thx!
Same here, the closest dealership that can work on my car is an hour away. But I use a local shop for routine maintenance, so not a huge issue. As for the G70 being discontinued, I have not seen official corespondance directly from Genesis, so no way to say it it is true or not.
I leased a RWD 530i for 3 years, then a 540xi for 3 years, then the 440xi Gran Coupé for 3 years. All were excellent cars. Then I investigated the market and leased the G70 3.3 Sport for 3 years - and then bought it! Overall it has everything, including the advantages you mentioned. It lacks maybe 0.1 second to 60mph - but who notices that? It corners the same as the Germans but has a more comfortable ride, perhaps sitting between the soft Lexus and the bumpy BMW. After 4 years, I still look forward to getting in and driving it every time. My one regret? I want to drive it on the track; it’s always calling me to go too fast on the road!
Dream is to track this car one day too. It literally just wants to take off. Only way I can control myself driving this car is to put it in eco mode. Even In comfort mode this car just wants to accelerate like crazy lol
Stunning design-it is my next car
Some people do prefer the understated elegance of the Getman interior. Money spent shouting at you when you open the door is seen by some as gaudy. I guess it's subjective.
Hey brother. Great review. Can you tell me what exterior colour this is? I can’t tell if it’s white or vatna gray. Beautiful car
Siberian Ice. Was discontinued after first quarter of 2023 production. So if you want a G70 in this color, gotta buy a 2023 or before. Vatna Gray is a new color for 2024. I posted a short video on that, should check it out
What are your thoughts on the g80 and g90?
I havnt spent much time in either, but if I'm spending that kind of money I might not opt for the G80 or G90. But I can't speak too much to quality or how luxurious they feel cause I've never been in one. Aside from that, personally I'm not a huge fan of their design. They're good looking, but appeal more to the old man executive class of person haha, that's just my opinion. I should poke around in them next time im at at the dealership cause I've never looked into them.
My dad just bought this same spec, and every surface is leather. The seat backs, the headrests, even the middle seat in the back row. Most manufacturers usually put vinyl on those parts.
Certified preowned is the way to go. Just picked up my 2023 sport prestige 3.3t for 42k (12k miles). Value for money beats everything on the market with these cars
100% agree value for money. I really wanted to get the M340i, but I honestly just could not justify the price for how little you get compared to this G70. To option the M340i with all the bells and whistles of this car, not to mention you still don't get all the features this car has, you're looking at almost $70k... That's just absurd. No thanks. And the used prices on the M340i don't drop as much as this Genesis. Some people say that's, bad, but depreciation for used car buyers in my opinion is a huge benefit. The M340i doesn't seem to depreciate as quickly.
Hopefully, the break in was done properly ....
@@bigden2755 most likely not. Mine was a courtesy vehicle for the dealership, so I'm sure it was thrashed before it even had 1 mile on it. What I don't know won't hurt me lol

@bigden2755 was a courtesy vehicle driven by old guys who worked at dealership😂. Tires were still in good shape so I think that's a good indicator it wasn't thrashed too much. Also has a 10 year powertrain warranty, so I'm not too concerned if anything on it breaks. It's covered until 2033
Does any of the Genesis models come with a V8
I don't think so
The G80 and G90 used to come with a 5.0 Liter V8, but I don't think any models have V8's any more. I think the last year of their V8 was 2022 with the G90
