I have recently become a stay at home dad. I have always been unorganized and have recently gained momentum in getting our house in order. My wife got an air fryer last Christmas and we rarely use it. I did not know it could be used for all these different things. I basically thought it was for frozen fries or chicken nuggets. I found your videos by mistake one night and have been addicted watching every video. Last week I purchased our groceries for the week and have had dinner ready every night for my family cooking everything in the air fryer. Tonight we did pork tenderloin. Tomorrow is taco bombs. Yesterday I did ham sliders. I am so thankful that you have inspired me to gain control of my kitchen and cook healthier for my family. No fast food on sports nights. It's so easy to quickly prepare a meal in the air fryer and clean up has been cut in half. Thank you!
I'm flattered that of all the people in the world and all the things you could choose to do, you chose to comment to me. Thank you for that time you gave up. However, I am not worth it. Find something better to spend your time doing.
🎉 That's awesome you found her and have been having so much fun! Sounds like you're learning to cook all sorts of things in it now! Bet your family is loving it too! 😊 I accidentally came upon this video and realized I don't need to order a lot of the accessories so this really helped!
I would place the metal holder just on my counter and use it as a cooling rack for the air fryer baskets or other baking containers used in the air fryer. Then you wouldn’t need the large wooden cutting board.
Bought a new AF, puzzled and no clue how to really use it, THEN, came across your site and WHAM it was all there in front of me, how to practically do anything in an air fryer, including tips on accessories and lots of other ideas which have turned me into a Maste Chef!!! lol The easy way you explain things and the visual close ups of how you are doing it is brilliant and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking an old mans cooking ability from rather sketchy to top of the tree. Your a saviour to ALL air fryer users. by the way I am from UK and age 78yrs old.
This lady, who has 8 kids, does a GREAT job on the quality of the videos, the content and she is very professional. For doing her own "show", she is doing an amazing job!! Where does she find the time??? Her kids and hubby should be super proud of her!! #SuperMom! And she wrote an Air Fryer book too! Sheesh!
Wow she has 8 kids ? I have 7 kids I did not know I always seen the teenage son or the little blonde girl that is picky with her vegetables as her mom puts it lol in her videos . She is awesome!
I use the "metal holder" upside down over bacon to keep it from curling or other things to keep them from flying into heating element. Love your videos!
The metal holder at 11:24 is for warming thing up like scones, marshmallows, chicken wings etc that are already cooked. It helps hold the food off the bottom of the tray so the hot air flow can get underneath.
yessss! You have a great point! So, the accesories I saw in the video are sold in amazon etc and I think they are BPA free. Am I right? Cause I thought that the plastic in the air fryers aren't BPA free. Any thoughts?
Even 2 years later, I found this is the best introduction video of tools you can use with air fryer. 00:55 Measure the internal dimensions. Simple, but the best tip nobody tells you. 10:08 This is serious issue when using papers inside the fryer it might cost a house. Paper starts burning around 430F so be careful. These side information alone is precious which can't be acquired without real life experience. Thank you for saving my time.
but that's not air fryer specific. I had two timey my whole stove-oven full of flames which was extremely scary (if it's dark and your whole kitchen is alight because you only see flames inside your oven and think you die), but of course the smell and toxic gases but it's horribly to clean because it is full of dust . both times it was parchment paper which I also had the fan function in oven, one time i had pizza in the middle , other time fries. to me I don't even get how it could catch fire since with pizza in the middle the edges could not even reach walls or heating elements...and I never cook anything or bake below 180 degrees (even not pizza because I am pyrophobic) So yeah I thought paper would be nice becasue so many said to use it to prevent the overly cleaning the basket but after this video i am way too afraid now xD
I recently got a Cosori air fryer. Read the directions, washed, tested and did a trial French fry run, let it cool. Cleaned everything and put the kabob rack back in the plastic bag it came in and placed it back inside the unit. Put the unit into my pantry till next time. Love the fryer. But here is the CAUTIONARY tale. Pulled unit out of pantry, preheated, smelled melting wax, and calmly asked hubby “are you working on something”,then it registered, I JUST COOKED A PLASTIC BAG FOR DINNER. What a mess. Took me two hours to scrap the melted plastic off that kabob accessory tray. My Cosori survived, but my ego took a hit and my hubby is still laughing. Just subscribed, love your recipes.
What can I say that hasn't been said by others, but thank you for all the info presented in your videos. I'm a 66yr old empty nest single father. I'm learning to cook for only one now. I was "gifted" a used AF, and was tickled to see it's the one you use(Casori). I look forward to learning to use mine and have been bing watching your posts. Now I just need to get my accesories, and eventually your cheat sheet. Wish me luck and success.
Kathy's great ❤ and has shown me a much easier way to cook with an air fryer instead of heating up the house with an oven. Thank you Kathy from this 60+ year old grandma ! Your the best !! 👑⚘
I just recently got an air frier for my mom for Christmas but I didn’t know that I would soon become addicted to making things in it, you are by far the best you tuber for learning about recipes and things to make in an air frier! I really enjoy learning from your channel!!
Hi Kathy. I am new to air frying (bought second hand Cosori last Tuesday 11 October) I immediately went on UA-cam and found you. I saw this post about air fryer accessories and you were commenting about the toast rack. I have found a use for it, I put thick slices of belly pork/pork belly in it, skin side up, so it goes nice and crispy. Plus, it will hold up to 10 slices, whereas it will only take 6 slices, when laid flat. P.S. I am a Brit living in Spain, where they call bp/pb Panceta.
First, thank you for all your hard work!! I've watched several of your videos, and your attention to detail has dramatically increased my 'keeper' rate. My first 'learning' air fryer was made by Farberware. I worked well until the safety interlock failed, and the fan would no longer come on. I replaced it with the Cosori 6.8 Qt. Rather than spray the items to be cooked, I use a silicone brush and brush them, then season them before I place them in the fryer. For flavor and high heat value, I use bacon grease (melted from frozen) on my asparagus, cauliflower, and Brussels sprouts. Before cooking, I dry them thoroughly; after washing, which allows for better crispness. Two items should always be cooked in an air fryer: 1) Whole chicken (3-3.5 lbs.) and 2) French Cut pork chops. A meat thermometer is a must! For tough stuck-on material, fill the fryer basket with enough water (with a small squirt of Dawn liquid soap) to cover the inserts with 1/2" of water. Run the fryer @ 215°F for 3 minutes, letting it sit for ten minutes before 'rinsing'!
The Misto oil sprayer is really a good way to go. There were in the past some complaints about it wearing out and failing too early in its life. The secret to keeping it working as intended for a long time is to relieve the pressure after every use instead of storing it pressurized. Mine has been working well for years using that technique which I didn't discover, but learned online. Hope this helps your fans. Keep up the great videos. I love 'em.
@@empoweredcooks can you send me the cooking times you have please we have just brought a Tefal air fryer and grill I have just done a stake and I like it well done but it was still pink
Every thing you say makes perfect sense. My daughters gave me a small Philips air fryer for a gift last week. I had no idea about using it because I've always considered air fryers to be a fad and knew nothing about them. You've convinced me otherwise. This thing has real possibilities in a household consisting of just my wife and me. I haven't used it yet but thanks to you, I can take a step at a time and who knows where that will take me? As per your advice, the first thing I will air fry is a litre or so of air. I'm sure it will be delicious. Thanks so much for your excellent videos. All the best from Australia.
When I use parchment paper in the air fryer I always set the multi-level rack on top of paper to hold it down during cooking. It straddles the food and doesn’t obstruct cooking.
Finaly, someone who thought like me isn't it obvious to use something heavy to stop the paper from blowing around This is my first attempt at cooking since the dreaded D Word But hey we are here to learn something. Watched one of her video's where she is cutting pieces of bread so small she said to use the rack to stop bread from flying around which i laughed at as the holes and gaps were huge the bread will still be flying around but i guess some people fail to see it ...Anyway Happy Cooking Melanie.
@@mx-gamesdev8287 I’m so curious….. what is the dreaded D word ?? I’ve had my air fryer for a while but don’t use it often but watching all these videos of great tips and recipes makes me anxious to use it again. 😊
I use the "metal holder" at the end of this video for air frying eggplant parmigiana, or at least the eggplant slices that have been breaded and need to be pre-cooked. The metal holder elevates the planks of eggplant so that the bottom side doesn't steam or lose the breadcrumb coating before being cooked on (I flip the slices of eggplant half way through cooking). For this purpose, it's an essential piece of equipment for air frying and gets used in our house more than many of the other accessories. Basically, it helps optimize the air flow properties of the air fryer, which is the key process of air frying.
I am loving these videos!! You really are great at this. You make it so easy to understand all the whats, whys, and hows to Air fryers. I think at 60 years old I can learn to cook a new health way!! I watch one video tonight now I'm on number 6...lol and I'm hungry. Thank you. great job! It's a pleasure watching you.
My husband and I am visiting our grandchildren in Prince George. I was introduced to the air fryer and it's healthy functions and I was amazed. We're planning to buy one when we go back to White Rock B.C. I just become a fan and subscriber. My question is does it come with the acessories or where do you get them? Thank you .
@@joycelozada2625 hello! So exciting for you! As far as air fryer accessories, some makes do include a few accessories, others don't. You can find a bunch of different things here: amzn.to/33D4aoB - just make sure you get ones that will fit in your air fryer. I have this video where I share what I like and don't like about the air fryers I own: ua-cam.com/video/6WEDw_AmuKI/v-deo.html
Use the metal holder in a pressure cooker instead of air fryer. Put water in the bottom of the pot and the metal holder to put your cheese cake pan or other container of food on top of it. Great for moist cooking "baking", and steaming. You need foil over a cheese cake to keep water drops from getting into it.
I use the metal rack to hold down the food and/or parchment paper to keep them from flying around in the basket. Works great. You just sit it on top of whatever you are cooking.
Just discovered this channel through the “mistakes not to make” video and I’m so grateful for your tips and information! I just didn’t realize how much is possible with those things. I have one and it’s amazing. Thanks for the awesome content. [new subscriber]
Thr shorter metal rack looks like the one that came with my instant pot. I use it to put in when doing eggs. So easy to peel, never going back to regular boiling. I love deviled eggs, hated peeling the old way. Great video. I'll check out some of your others.
Just got my big air fryer yesterday. You already have saved me a ton of learning. Being a guy, my cooking skills are pretty basic. Have already tried some chicken and bacon and came out good. Thanks for your great help and ideas.
My favorite fried chicken tenders! I told my husband I'm not gonna cook greasy fried chicken any more . I'm a senior with back issues and job was too messy! This recipe is great no mess and Delicious!
I just came across your channel and I love it! You seemed like a wonderful individual. I've had my large KitchenHero airfryer since about 7 years. It's glass so I don't have to open it to see how my food is cooking or when it needs turning over etc but it's very bulky and heavy. Only last month I saw the Ninja airfryer; I bought it and have no regrets! I've already cooked many things in it such as: cupcakes, pizza, bread, biscuits, cookies, coconut bake, potatoes, plantains, bitter gourd, okra, asparagus, brussels sprouts, veggie omelette, lamb, fish, lobsters, shrimp, bacon, tandoori chicken and kebabs. I use my Ninja every day and love it so I'm now looking to sell my KitchenHero. Thank you for the great info. Stay safe and God bless 🙏🇨🇦
I’m new to air fryers and came across your videos today, while looking for workout videos. I have watched 4 today. I love how short & to the point you are in them. Thank you very much for making!!!! I will be watching all of them!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for another great video! I just set up my new Cosori 3.7 air fryer and wanted to check it out for making toast. I didn't want to worry about the bread flying up into the heating element so I placed the metal holder upside down (the little legs pointing up) on top of the bread and it worked perfectly to hold it down. I cooked the toast at 360 for 2 minutes on each side and it worked great.
Very nice! My 12 year old keeps using the air fryer for toast! He hasn't used anything to hold it down... I should double check with him that it's not moving around in the basket lol! :)
@@empoweredcooks I did change the temp to 350 and did the 4 minutes without flipping and it was still perfect. I would like to find out if it works without the weight on top, I only did it because another video showed it and I could just see it catching the thing on fire-lol
This was totally great! I used it while I shopped at Amazon for an AirFryer and added accessories while shopping, and you saved me a ton of research! Thank you!
After LOTS of research the past 2 weeks, I decided on the Cosori 5.8 qt air fryer. It arrived just today from the happy people at AmazonSmile! I, like others, stumbled on your videos while researching, and I friggin' love you!! 8 kids?! Wow girl, you look amazing! I so dislike to heat up my kitchen and therefore I can't wait to try out my new air fryer. Your videos have made it less intimidating to use. I have limited counter space, but I think having this will be well worth giving up a foot of space. Please keep your videos coming and I look forward to your air fryer cookbook. Any chance you could also add a chapter for Keto friendly recipes? =)
Just found your channel. Very helpful. My 2 cents... I wish they would make a stainless steel basket. I've had 2 (yes, cheap models) and non-stick coating failed on its own by the second use. No, I didn't use any metal utensils and I didn't put them in the dishwasher either. So I have to use parchment every time so I don't end up eating Teflon. There is a con to the mandolin, severe lacerations if you don't wear cut resistant gloves! 😆
I received the same Cosori fryer for my birthday, and have just started using it. Your videos and recipes are the most helpful I’ve found. The Cosori accessory pack was included in my gift; I haven’t found a purpose for the last rack, either. Thanks for the tips, info, and recipes. 😀
@@empoweredcooks I sometimes use that last rack as a trivet for cooling trays, loaf pans or hot pots if I run out of silicone mats or hot pads. The first rack you showed is also handy for the InstantPot pressure cooker. Your videos are so helpful and to the point. Thank you !!! ❤️
Great advice. Especially the part about knowing the dimensions of your air fryer. I just got my first one and I got the “Dual Zone” Ninja Foodi that has separate sides. The con is that there are hardly any accessories made for a pot that is only 8” X 5.5”. The pro is that I really don’t need anything other than those items you mentioned that I already had in my kitchen. It’s really working out ok for me because I mainly only cook for two. And it’s nice because it has a feature where both sides can get done cooking at the same time.
Ruthann22, Does the Dual Zone Ninja cooks food evenly? I also have a Ninja but with only one basket and I use it every day. It cooks very well and I love it! I was thinking about buying the one like yours hence I asked that question. Thank you.
@@skinnydee1886 yes, it really does cook very well, and evenly. The only problem I have found with it is that it only cooks small amounts at a time. But if you’re only cooking for one or two people it does fine. You of course can’t fit any special pans in the small compartments, so I have gotten some small silicone ramen dishes that will fit in for anything I want to make that is too wet to go in the small baskets. I also cut my own small sized parchment paper for easy clean up. It does also have a very nice feature that allows you to put different foods in each side and then times them to get done at the same time.
@@Ruthann22 Thank you for replying immediately; I do appreciate. You'll notice that I've edited my comment especially for you. I've had my large KitchenHero airfryer since about 7 years. To avoid having to clean the thing I find the small 8" metal rack (at 11m-40s) fits perfectly inside an 8-inch shallow wiltshire circular cake tin that has previously been lined with a Patty-Pan to suit 8 inches or aluminium foil?, it allows Chicken-Maryland and much besides to cook evenly on all sides, and makes cleaning either very simple; or non-existent. (The double-level circular wire grid I've never found a use for, it's designed to allow placement of skewers, but I think it useless?).
Somebody is reading my mind! Yesterday I was looking on Amazon for an air fryer, ( never had one, I'm 71.) I've learned a lot from your video, and fill more confident about buying one. Thanks!
I think you can use the sliced bread rack for thinly cut meats like porkchops and should allow more space for cooking since they will be standing upright.
That thermometer has been a game changer for me. Since I use my instant pot air fryer lid as my air fryer, I also use that low trivet with a perforated parchment paper on top of it. It makes my instant pot with the air fryer lid, more like my old power xl fryer that I pitched out😉. Your tips and recipes are fab. Thanks.
Loving your various posts on UA-cam. Regarding the mandolin, I find them very dangerous if used, as you demonstrate, without the guide. I took the top of my finger off some years ago. Luckily, it was medically superglued back on, and all is well.😁
I THINK THIS IS ONE OF THD BEST VIDEOS ON AIR FRYERS. I BOUGHT MY AIR FRYER JUST AFTER CHRISTMAS AND I BOUGHT SOME PAPER LINERS. THEY HAVE NO HOLES AND NOW I CAN SED WHY MY ROAST POTATOES WERE A BIT SOGGY . IM THINKJNG ABOUT SOME MORE ACCESSORIES NOW AND YOUR VIDEO HAS BEEN SO HELPFUL .. THANKYOU SO MUCH . K
Great videos and great editing, good job. She goes straight to the point and doesn't waste time like most people doing similar videos do. Overall, a beautiful lady and adorable daughter. Her videos are fun and easy to watch.
I was so glad to see you use the oil brush. Instead of buying an oil sprayer I got a very small Oxo bottle oil keeper with a brush. I'm glad to know it will come in handy. I'm definitely investing in a sprayer and a few other items you mentioned. I'm hoping you have a link I can use so I can do my part to help you keep making videos. I am so grateful I found you!

In answer to your question I believe it's a cooling rack. I think you have baked cookies in the past. You really need a place to put them to cool so it gets the best flavor. Cakes are also the same.
I wasn't sure if I was going to get an air fryer or not because my sister doesn't like her and says it's more trouble than it's worth but I have always thought it would be a nice healthy option for me. I'm glad I ran on to your videos to get some good advice and some perspective. Thank you very much.
Just joined!..those cute silcone Egglet cups that was so popular...they work great in the air fryer...from muffins to single serving meatloaf...great for the single person household..thanks for all the handy ideas and yummy recipes,Dear!
Thanks fir the tips. I just ordered an air fryer. I had one some years ago but I just kinda winged it. I already have a food thermometer and I ordered a bottle to spray oil.
@@empoweredcooks I use quickbread cakes like blueberry or banana bread. Anything in a box. My strategy was to keep the portioning small. I cooked an entire cake in an 8x8 foil pan but it's just too much mass to cook through. So now I divide the cakes into basically cupcakes. The parchment sheets are perforated and help collect some of the spill-over if I overfill them. I should say I am using a PowerXL 10-in-1 1500w oven style air fryer.
Oooo, you are a wonderful teacher. Was on amazon making selections as I watched. Air fryer arriving tomorrow, accessories to follow. Thank you soooo much for the fabulous insight! New friend here.

This is the very best information I have found on owning a Air Fryer. I have look for months trying to see the best one to buy. Thank you for your thorough information and attention to detail!
I bought my air fryer to lower the calorie count of French fries. I’ve followed instructions from several sites, still eating flimsy fries. I’ll look up your suggestions. But thanks for these videos, they really help. My fav so far was a turkey breast wrapped in bacon. Unbelievably moist and flavorful.
Hi Cathy, here comes the solutions. The bread bag (at 10:52) - Cut out, every second string = getting larger spaces. And use it ie for spare ribs in your fryer. The metal holder (at 11:24) is offering in our store, for to stand hot pots safe, outside of your cook or your fryer. Greetings from sw germany (middle europe) I ordered my first air fryer in my life this week. So let´s begin.
@@chasz3776 Now we all have Internet to share our ideas. ribs has more weight as bread. But an Air Fryer is smaller, as an BBQ grill. So you must cut the ribs in smaller pieces. smaller = less weight. So it looks possible.
Maybe the 3/4” high metal rack would be helpful if you have a solid pot and want to have a better heat flow from the bottom heating element if your fryer has one. Rather than the pot blocking the bottom holes, hot air would be evenly spread throughout the entire food.
I've used the rack for making two pieces of fish filets at a time (tilapia, I think). You can also use the rack in a pot or wok for steaming (hold up an inner vessel)
If I'm cooking something particularly fatty or greasy I line under the basket on the base with foil to catch the drippings to make cleanup quicker. I make sure there is a space for the air to move between the foil and the basket above it. This has saved me from greasy cleanups many times.
I use the metal rack to hold the cupcake pan. When cooking on the bottom of the basket, the bottom doesn't get a good crust. Also very good in my pressure cooker to hold the tamales above the water.
Great video - and how convenient that I already have most items because of my Instant Pot, especially since they’re so different in some ways. A couple others I bought from your links. The silicone “bites” mold is often used for meatloaf, pancake or egg bites. I’ll have to compare! Our Cosori should be here in two days!

The one accessory haven't used is the bread rack - the metal rack i use to hold down tortilla and english muffin pizza (gently put on top) - agree meat thermometer is a MUST (buy one that has large read out) - I know many have problem with non-stick coating fails but i choose to use can spray anyway because of light even coating - as some food companies now include air fry directions maybe they will have air fryer friendly spray - as air fryers are now mainstream I truly don't understand why companies are slow to cater to the large and growing market - love your tip to use a more moist bread for grilled cheese to prevent it being TOO CRUNCHY - I learn things helpful from each of your videos
Thanks Dale! And when I was at Trader Joes, I did find a can of spray that was nothing but avocado oil... so I do think we are going to start seeing more healthy options!

This has been a great video I learned a lot but I have a tip for you what I do when I'm using a container that does not have a handle and is a little hard to get out of the airfryer I make about a one and a half inch strip of tinfoil and use it as a sling to remove my item make sure it is long enough that it goes across the bottom and up the sides and you can grab it easily works great. I usually use two or three folds of tinfoil to make sure it is strong enough. Please keep airfryer videos coming!!

I use that metal rack whenever I’m cooking meat. I’ve been under the impression that it was created specifically for that. Perhaps I’ll try cooking some chicken without it and see what difference it makes. Also, a tool that I use all of the time with my air fryer is a microplane. It’s wonderful for grating garlic and Parmesan cheese.
I have a digital instant read thermometer that I bought from Amazon last year and I use it often. I also have a set of accessories that I've had since October and I love it!
Hi Cathy! My favorite accessory for the air fryer is a six to eight inch stainless mixing bowl...with a thumb ring. You can dump in your wings, drumettes, potato wedges etc...pour in a little olive oil, your select secret spices and herbs, and stir it all up with a wooden spoon. The bowl has a funnel-like taper and everything returns to the center of the bottom...stir until everything is evenly coated and into the basket it goes. Clean up is a breeze with a little hot water and dish soap. Clean, quick and easy.

I'm flattered that of all the people in the world and all the things you could choose to do, you chose to comment to me. Thank you for that time you gave up. However, I am not worth it. Find something better to spend your time doing.
What on earth is a taco bomb????? Sounds epic!
This all sounds amazing!
🎉 That's awesome you found her and have been having so much fun! Sounds like you're learning to cook all sorts of things in it now! Bet your family is loving it too! 😊
I accidentally came upon this video and realized I don't need to order a lot of the accessories so this really helped!
I would place the metal holder just on my counter and use it as a cooling rack for the air fryer baskets or other baking containers used in the air fryer. Then you wouldn’t need the large wooden cutting board.
Love her, straight to the point, no dragging it out and wasting time. 🥰
you got that RIGHT!!! straight, quick & to the point - not a time-waster O YEAH!!!
Sheesh!
Wow, thank you!
Wow I've been looking for a girl like her all my life 8
Wow she has 8 kids ? I have 7 kids I did not know I always seen the teenage son or the little blonde girl that is picky with her vegetables as her mom puts it lol in her videos . She is awesome!
ditto!!! all you said!!!
I use the "metal holder" upside down over bacon to keep it from curling or other things to keep them from flying into heating element. Love your videos!
Yes! ♥️
🤔🤔 Scones via the air fryer 🤔🤔
Even 2 years later, I found this is the best introduction video of tools you can use with air fryer.
00:55 Measure the internal dimensions. Simple, but the best tip nobody tells you.
10:08 This is serious issue when using papers inside the fryer it might cost a house. Paper starts burning around 430F so be careful.
These side information alone is precious which can't be acquired without real life experience. Thank you for saving my time.
but that's not air fryer specific. I had two timey my whole stove-oven full of flames which was extremely scary (if it's dark and your whole kitchen is alight because you only see flames inside your oven and think you die), but of course the smell and toxic gases but it's horribly to clean because it is full of dust . both times it was parchment paper which I also had the fan function in oven, one time i had pizza in the middle , other time fries. to me I don't even get how it could catch fire since with pizza in the middle the edges could not even reach walls or heating elements...and I never cook anything or bake below 180 degrees (even not pizza because I am pyrophobic)
So yeah I thought paper would be nice becasue so many said to use it to prevent the overly cleaning the basket but after this video i am way too afraid now xD
Oh no! This is so sad! But, I'm glad your Cosori is alright :)
You are so welcome! Thank YOU for your support and love!
I just recently got an air frier for my mom for Christmas but I didn’t know that I would soon become addicted to making things in it, you are by far the best you tuber for learning about recipes and things to make in an air frier! I really enjoy learning from your channel!!
Thank you so much! And I agree... it makes cooking more fun! :)
Truth.
I love 'em.
Thank you for sharing, Gary!
How do you relieve the pressure? Brand New newbie here and thinking the Misto is the way to go after watching these GREAT videos!
@@empoweredcooks can you send me the cooking times you have please we have just brought a Tefal air fryer and grill I have just done a stake and I like it well done but it was still pink

Seriously, right?!!! 😍
Yes, she’s the best. And funny too!
She talks as fast as an air fryer cooks a meal that at the end I felt dizzy. Lol 😆 🤣
She is cute too
You bet!
Thank you so much Tony! You got this!
I have just bought my first air fryer, your channel is the best i have found.
Hopefully practice will result in some edible results.
Thank you! What kind did you get?
@@empoweredcooks I bought a Calmdo from Amazon, as a needed one to do a bit more than you can with a basic air fryer.
@@Barbarapape excellent!
Such a good idea! I just got an air fryer last night so that’s a really good tip for me as I’m learning to use it. Thanks!

I’m so curious….. what is the dreaded D word ??
Nice! Since making this video, I also love using the little rack to hold things down from flying around (such as a quesadilla).
I am loving these videos!! You really are great at this. You make it so easy to understand all the whats, whys, and hows to Air fryers. I think at 60 years old I can learn to cook a new health way!!
Yay! Glad to have you here!
Thr shorter metal rack looks like the one that came with my instant pot. I use it to put in when doing eggs. So easy to peel, never going back to regular boiling. I love deviled eggs, hated peeling the old way. Great video. I'll check out some of your others.
Thank you! And yes... great tool for the instant pot!

I’m thinking the same thing!

LOL - glad I'm not alone with thinking that metal rack serves no purpose! :) And you are welcome!

I sometimes use that last rack as a trivet for cooling trays, loaf pans or hot pots if I run out of silicone mats or hot pads. The first rack you showed is also handy for the InstantPot pressure cooker. Your videos are so helpful and to the point. Thank you !!! ❤️
I would use the toast rack for holding cookbooks on the counter. Can see much else use for it. Great video. Extremely helpful!!
Ruthann22,
Does the Dual Zone Ninja cooks food evenly?

I am really loving her videos. She has great delivery and the info is giving me confidence to use the air fryer!
Thanks!
You are going to love your air fryer!
Thanks.
You are so welcome, Deb! I'm glad it's working well for you!
Loving your various posts on UA-cam. Regarding the mandolin, I find them very dangerous if used, as you demonstrate, without the guide. I took the top of my finger off some years ago. Luckily, it was medically superglued back on, and all is well.😁

Thank you. I use the parchment sheets all the time, esp when I bake bread, cake and pies. Very cheap in several sizes on Amazon.
Very good! What is your favorite cake recipe? I have yet to master a regular cake!

Greetings from sw germany (middle europe)
I ordered my first air fryer in my life this week. So let´s begin.
Good idea. I was going to use it for ribs as well but hadn't considered cutting every other spacer out.
@@chasz3776 Now we all have Internet to share our ideas.
ribs has more weight as bread.
But an Air Fryer is smaller, as an BBQ grill.
So you must cut the ribs in smaller pieces.
smaller = less weight.
So it looks possible.
Maybe the 3/4” high metal rack would be helpful if you have a solid pot and want to have a better heat flow from the bottom heating element if your fryer has one. Rather than the pot blocking the bottom holes, hot air would be evenly spread throughout the entire food.
Yes, that could be very beneficial for the air fryers that don't have a removable basket too.
She’s spectacular! To the point, direct, and extremely knowledgeable. Love her.
Thank you!
The bread rack would make a good plate rack for smaller plates, or even plastic ware lid organizer
Great idea! I love it!
I've used the rack for making two pieces of fish filets at a time (tilapia, I think). You can also use the rack in a pot or wok for steaming (hold up an inner vessel)
Thank you Kasey! Great tips!
I would love to see you use the other style airfryer like the emeral with rotissory
If I'm cooking something particularly fatty or greasy I line under the basket on the base with foil to catch the drippings to make cleanup quicker. I make sure there is a space for the air to move between the foil and the basket above it. This has saved me from greasy cleanups many times.
Awesome tip!
Just ordered an oil spritzer, instant read thermometer, and parchment sheets. Thanks for the tips!
You are welcome!
Thank you for all your videos on your Casori! I just bought one based on your videos and the awesome reviews online. This video today came at the right time because I'm looking for a few accessories for it. I'm thinking of getting that metal shelf to cook more things at once
I'm so happy to have been helpful to you! ENJOY your Cosori!
@@empoweredcooks One thing I'm learning now that I'm struggling with is timing. Cooking multiple things in the Casori to finish nearly all at the same time. Now I'm interested in slow cooking meat in the Casori like pork ribs.
@@stonehands0249 yes true... I pulled out both my air fryers tonight and we had some roasted fresh veggies and an AMAZING pork tenderloin that was ready in 25 minutes! I have done pork ribs once but didn't care for how it turned out. I think I need to test it again though because I was fairly new to the air fryer when I tried it. Let me know if you do it and how it goes for you!
@@empoweredcooks I sure will. I'll slow cook it with a Korean pork marinade. I'll keep you posted on the results. Have a great New Year!
@@stonehands0249 sweet! Thank you!
Love my air fryer and your useful simple tips!
I use metal rack for toast. Then donated pop up toaster!
Thank God I found your channel! So honest, so informative! It really feels like my best friend is advising me smth! I do not even have an air fryer, just doing my small marketing research, but thanks to you I already knows more than consultants in the shops!)) Greetings from Switzerland!
😊 Welcome!! And thank you for the kind words!
@@empoweredcooks Dear, I`ve finally ordered COSORI XXL 5.5l air fryer! Could you please tell me which size of accessories to search for - 8 or 9 inch? We are not even in "inch country here", hehe, I do not understand what will fit ) Thank you!
@@elenac7082 yay! Congrats! The basket is 9x9", so the 8 or 9 inch accessories should work. Just note if you want round or square. (the basket is square)
@@empoweredcooks thank you!! I guess square is more appropriate and there will be more space. Gonna go with 9 inch square accessories then! Graziee)
@Candy Woman you are welcome! ❤️
Hi I love love love my airfryer I use it everyday my stove oven element burnt out and I don't know if I'm going to replace it probably will.
Very nice! I have used that for cookies and salmon, but not for my dishes... I will remember that!
Thank you I enjoy listening and watching you. I got the same air fryer for Christmas
You are welcome! And I bet you're loving it as much as I love mine!
You have just helped me replace my need for an oven. Thank you
I love your channel. I just got a Cosori and your videos are so helpful as a newbie. Plus you have a great personality, keep your videos short, and are just so helpful! I also think it’s really cool that you have 8 kids - so amazing as large families are such a blessing.
Well thank you so much! ❤️ Congrats on the Cosori!
I am still accessing as to whether I buy an Air Fryer or buy new frying pan and skillet. Loved your Video at least it is very straight forward and easy to understand. Thank you again
Of course!! You might also like this video then: ua-cam.com/video/6WEDw_AmuKI/v-deo.html good luck!

I had my ninja foodi stuffed away in the back room. I’ve had it less than a year intimidated by it. The instruction manual is kind of so so. Since subscribing to your site, I’ve become very excited. I even tried a few of your recipes already. WOW! You made a believer out of me. Thank you so much. Today, I have many plans with my Ninja Foodi. I have also subscribed to you site.
Yay! I'm so happy to hear this! It's seriously my top desire, to help people use these appliances hiding away in their kitchen!
I'm a new user of air fryer and your tips help me a lot on the do's and don'ts. I like your recipes as well, thanks. Thank you, thank you.
Thank you for watching!
Great video, and tell us what other oil sprayers worked better for you when you get a chance!
Will do! One was a dud and I got a refund (didn't even show it or list it in the notes)... the other one I listed in the notes, but I'm not 100% sold on it yet.
A little elf told me I'm getting a Cosori 5.8 for Christmas (!!!). I found your UA-cam channel the other day and I have been immersing myself in your tutorials. I feel like I've learned so much already!
YAY! Welcome! You're going to love it! On Saturday morning my video will be an "Air Fryer Quick Start Guide" just for those like you!
@@empoweredcooks Wonderful! I'll be watching for it!
I am just opening new my air fryer box. Bought it after watching your show . Got the Corsori as the Philips one was very expensive. Can't wait to cook in it . Inspired by your cooking 👍🌞
Congrats and thank you! And yes, the Philips one is very expensive and I love the Cosori just as much (if not more... shh, don't tell Philip). 😆

😀
I agree with Patti , I was going to just put it away , with the burner on the bottom you don't need it , just another thing to clean ! I also was thinking about putting those paper thingys down , but I don't know about it getting to hot for fire ?
Parchment paper won't burn unless it flies up into the heating element. Just make sure it is weighed down by enough food.
6:30 Hello there, Mrs Zoidberg!
I've had a cheap ($40) air fryer for quite some time but I recently bought the same Cosori you have based on your comments and suggestions. I really love your videos! They are very well produced and useful!
Ha ha ha! That's hilarious! Thank you :) And I'm glad the videos are helping you! 😆
Just had my Cosori CP158-AF delivered about 30 mins ago, so really helpful presentation.
Ok good to know! I'm going to be making steaks this weekend so I'll test that out too!
I have a digital instant read thermometer that I bought from Amazon last year and I use it often. I also have a set of accessories that I've had since October and I love it!
Very nice! It's a fun way to open up the possibilities!
Check out canning jar tong lifter for removal of Ramekins, larger meats... an old chef trick👍
😀 I think I've tried using it for the ramekins?? Now I can't remember! I'll test it out next time!
@@empoweredcooks You may have a more durable one made for canning. That's what I use for lifting ramekins and small bowls. Much sturdier.
@@lisab.3091 Thanks for the tip!
I am so very happy that i have found you! I ordered my Cosori today! I was against purchasing an Air fryer, but, you, my dear, sold me! Thanks so much! Commited Subscriber!
