Oh boy that reheat trick is worth the price of admission. I just did it with some chicken breast and rice I had made other day. And while the air fryer was doing that, I was able to use the microwave to cook (?) the mixed frozen vegetables. I now know I need to add another minute or so to the reheat time, but the process works. I will also have to get the parchment paper bowls, as my cutting the sheet to make a 'bowl' worked, but not as cleanly as a real bowl would have; but the fryer is still way cleaner than if I had not used the paper. A thousand thumbs up!!

Life is so easy with an air fryer. When I bought mine about 2yrs ago I cooked just about everything in it.
I do recommend an air fryer and things taste so much better.

Your video popped up on my feed, which is great timing, as I only bought an air fryer (some Chefman model) a few months ago after I moved into my new house. My initial plan was to use it as a toaster (an idea I got from someone else). Boy, oh boy, what a blessing it's been. I bought a cheat-sheet too and some parchment paper and I've done some steaks and of course my bagels and toast. I've sliced and diced some Italian sausage and chicken breasts and thighs and potatoes.
But, this video today, really opened my eyes to the things I can do. I am going to try the 'reheat' function of my food instead of my microwave.
One more thing: THANK YOU, THANK YOU, for not playing any music while you are speaking. 'Background' music is not background and it gets in the way of paying attention to the host. So glad you didn't do that.

Others say I dont know whatto make in it. I tell everyone to check out your channel for air fyers ideas. You have so many great ideas that I have never though of or tried. 🧁Try making muffins! You know--the Martha White or other brand mixes that you just add milk, right? I have a smaller Cosori, so I can fit six at a time if I stagger them. Obviously, I have to use cupcake liners (double your liners if they are thin); I would imagine silicone ones would work better though. I cook the muffins for only 10 minutes (no preheating), usually at 360 F. They rise better at 360 than at 350 F. I have to be honest, they don't always turn very "pretty," but they TASTE great! I'm the only one eating them, and it's nice to have something fast that doesn't heat up the apartment--especially in the summer! Again, I think a more rigid mold like the silicone ones would probably yield a better-looking muffin, but that's not what's most important to me. Good luck, y'all! It really is fun learning all the things this one appliance can do! 💜

    • @empoweredcooks
      @empoweredcooks  7 місяців тому +3

Thanks for sharing! I have always used the silicone muffin liners... I wasn't sure that the paper ones would work without the pan... good to know that they will (doubling if needed). Thank you! :)

My husband hates microwaving leftover pizza before the crust gets soggy. He would eat it cold. No more. I'm getting him hooked on reheating in the air fryer.
I make biscuits in the air fryer. I don't have a basket in mine so I need to flip them halfway through. Tip: use parchment paper. To flip, take a second parchment and flip the whole lot onto it. Easy peasy. No burned fingers or fiddling with a spatula.

I love the air fryer, and it makes so many things easily. I never used frozen broccoli until I tried it in the air fryer. It really does cook it better than steaming or microwaving, and I agree with you about NOT making fresh broccoli in the air fryer. That is a definite fail. Steak comes out great, salmon is perfect (doing air fryer gochujang salmon tonight). The cover recipe from your cookbook is my favorite (although I leave out the gnocchi). It's a perfect vegetable dish. Oh, and the crunchwraps - for cheeseburgers, fried chicken and cheese, taco meat - anything can work. I will confess that i've not had any luck making hard-boiled eggs in it, but with a million other things to cook in it, that's not a big deal.
Keep up the fun videos and more uses for this appliance - once I started using it, it's become a necessity, not just a nice thing to have.

I boiled eggs in my air fryer and they turned out so well I did it again. Result: egg all over my air fryer. I haven’t been game to try it again. But NOTHING cooks bacon like an airfyer. I'm already using my air fryer for steak, salmon, hard boiled eggs, and grilled cheese sandwiches. The steak comes out so juicy!
I've found all these suggestions on your site or by googling around. We have had a lot of luck with pork chops and tenderloin in our air fryer. We have two of them; a Cosori and a Ninja dual basket. We use the Ninja to do frozen burgers and french fries that come out together at the same time with the Smart Finish feature. I haven't turned on my outdoor gas grill at all in a year.

Corn on the cob has never been better than cooked with my air fryer. The sweetness comes out, and the kernals are easy to eat, leaving a clean cob behind. It's nearly impossible to mess up a meal cooked in the air fryer. WOW, the CROOKIE looks amazing. I've never seen it before, and I'm SOLD. Those peppers look great, and anything with Everything but the Bagel seasoning is going to be delish. I really enjoy these recipes. Leftovers in the Air Fryer is like a new, fresh batch. I can't tell the difference. Microwave leftovers is 20th Century. Air Fryer leftovers is 21st Century and the way it should be done. Fried chicken, Chinese food, French Fries, Pizza, and more is the BEST air fried.

    What's up, Cath?
great video as usual ✌. I noted a lot of things about air frying recipes you mentioned from this video.
I have a quick question though! What size of air fryer do you recommend a couple who loves baking bread a lot?
    Thanks in advance.🙂

Hey Sam! Have you watched my air fryer buying guide yet? ua-cam.com/video/WsLvqRGR5g4/v-deo.html For bread, you can do small loaves in air fryers that are around 6 quarts, no problem. If you want to do several loaves at once, then you're probably going to be better off with an air fryer oven. Although those do have enough cons that I don't care for them (more info on that in the buying guide video).

I've recently noticed there are small appliances that steam then airfry the food. It's a hybrid between a steamer/multicooker and an airfryer. Is that something you'd be interested in exploring?

Sure! Which brand is it? The Dreo Chef Maker uses some water in the cooking process on some settings. I'd love to learn of others similar to that! ua-cam.com/video/gYku-SAJm60/v-deo.html

I shall buy an air fryer after getting hooked on your videos, however corn with leaves on in the microwave take only 3 minutes and does not dry out. Salmon as you have shown it also only take 3 minutes in the microwave. Granted there may be a different flavour which I have yet to experience.
