I seldom comment but this was my first time kneading and using yeast. It was challenging but was a success. Crusty top but soft inside, we just finished the first batch as I type this. Thanks for sharing, will try your other recipes.
Hi lovlies..so I am from Trinidad and Tobago (Google it😊) I tried this recipe 3 times since I viewed it last week...I tripled the recipe this morning for breakfast my family absolutely loves it!!!❤❤❤ I uses the GOURMIA Airfrier @350F for 15..and I turned it over so the bottom can get colour as well. This morning I bakes at the same temp in the conventional oven..same perfection. I also don't use plain white flour so I mixed cracked wheat this morning and I also used 1:2 ratio WW to White. omg i just made this bread but in the oven because I do not have a airfryer yet let me just say perseverance pays off because my dough was acting crazy when I was kneading it, so I had to add more flour it was too soft. eventually I got into the right consistency needed it until it was able to stretch without breaking ... then I followed the rest of the recipe except I couldn't cut the dough evenly and make the balls the way you did but I just pulled the dough apart and made balls even or not and my God this bread came out so delicious in the oven just like in the airfryer soft fluffy my only gripe with myself was I didn't have any butter!! but I enjoyed it hot without butter. so easy can make every day! oh after the egg wash i sprinkled pink salt on top then baked . awweesome
Thank you, this is the second time baking these buns. This time I've forgotten the egg wash. They are still great! Adjusted temp and baking time slightly, for our Chefman air fryer (more like a glorified toaster oven). This time, they were shaped into 8 flatter, round "burger" buns, baked in 2, 8x8 pans. Very happy to have your excellent tutorial.
@@widadwy5850 that's a good question! I've used both "Air fry" and "bake" settings. There may be a difference but honestly I can't tell. Maybe if they were side by side? Try it and report back!
Just made this and it tastes really good! Just that I did some things abit different. Instead of 3 Tbsp of sugar, I measure 38grams of caster sugar which came up to 2 Tbsp. I thought it tasted just nice. More would have been too sweet for me. Also, at 125C 10mins was too short. So I moved it up to 140C and still needed about 18mins before it became golden brown. Might be because I am using a different air fryer

@@vegangelist from what ive learned, bread flour is actually better than all purpose- all purpose has less gluten percentage and bread flour has more so any is fine (bread flour is actually preferable)
I reduced the sugar a little bit, 170 C for 18 mins (flipped the bread around min. 12-13) gave me a satisfying bread-like texture with a crust. thanks for the recipe.

hi, it's ok:) 1. yes, you can replace milk with lukewarm water. 2. Instant dry yeast works either on liquid at room temp or at warm temp. But yeast works best at lukewarm liquids. 3. Almond milk will do,a s long as it is not far from the consistency of fresh milk it will work without altering the measurement of ingredients in this recipe. For milk with creamier or thicker consistency will result to a denser dough so the proportion of liquid or flour needs to be slightly adjusted. 4. Bread flour is higher in protein thus produce a strong gluten, resulting to a light, airy with slight chewiness on bread You can generally swap bread flour for apf & same results can be achieved too using APF but may vary on the proportion on ingredients. 5. Definitely you can use active yeast, it just need an extra process before it can be used in a recipe You need to bloom the yeast first by mixing it in a lukewarm liquid with a small amount of sugar then wait until it's foamy.

Tried this tonight and 10 minutes is too short, so I changed it to 13 minutes and 155°C and turned out well. About the taste, I think you need to add a little bit more salt.

Can I prepare the dough the night before to bake in the morning? How do I store them? In the refrigerator or freezer? Would I have to adjust time and temperature? It looks like a wonderful recipe!
You can do it 2 ways. Make the dough and then put in the fridge covered overnight then next day shape, rise again and bake. Or shape the dough into either buns or bread, put in the fridge covered. Take out next day and rise then bake. I proof my dough overnight in the fridge all the time without failing. No adjusting of anything.

Followed the recipe exactly, but found I had to keep adding some flour as I was kneading as it was so wet 😟 Waiting for it to proof now so fingers crossed I haven't overworked it and it'll turn out okay 🤞
@@lubnahakeem3738 it was a disaster! It turned out so dense and it didn't even double in size when I was proofing the dough. The video didnt state heat up the milk, I think this might be the reason? But I had to add so much extra flour that may also have added to the problem too 🙁 How did yours turn out??
@@s.f2348 I haven't made it a second time yet. But the one tip is to warm up the milk so it's luke warm (not too hot or you may kill the yeast and won't rise!) and start to knead by hand first as I put it in my machine and it stuck to the bowl and was so messy! But other than that if it's wet just add flour little by little as you're kneading. Good luck and hope it turns out well for you.. Let me know how you get on 😁
I’m always scared to make bread recipes but I think this is the one I have to make!!😻😻 Can we fill the bread before baking with cheese or some other fillings? If yes, when can we add the filling?
I just finished making the dough and it is rising but I will bake these buns in the oven at 350 got about 15 to 20 minutes as I want individual sandwich buns. Hope they will turn out well, I been baking bread for over 30 years and this is a very basic, easy dough. Thanks for sharing! 😊👍

hi, 1. yes you can replace oil with butter using the same amount. 2. You can trim to half the amount of yeast & salt & Egg or you may use a small sized egg.

Great video! 😃 I want to make bread now. lol I will say that it’s best to use an all stainless steel air fryer because the rest have forever chemicals and various other chemicals from the coatings and plastics which are very toxic. Consider using a cotton towel over plastic wrap too to avoid the chemicals in plastic that are endocrine disrupters and increase harmful estrogen in the body. 🙏

The cold milk slowed down the rise. I had to do a longer proof.

The same thing happened to me. I just added a little extra flour and let it sit. Hoping to get a good result. How did yours turn out?
@@lubnahakeem3738 it was a disaster! It turned out so dense and it didn't even double in size when I was proofing the dough. The video didnt state heat up the milk, I think this might be the reason? But I had to add so much extra flour that may also have added to the problem too 🙁

@@LiuHeiYing oh no! I was planning on making this today :( do you have any tips to prevent this?
@@s.f2348 I haven't made it a second time yet. But the one tip is to warm up the milk so it's luke warm (not too hot or you may kill the yeast and won't rise!) and start to knead by hand first as I put it in my machine and it stuck to the bowl and was so messy! But other than that if it's wet just add flour little by little as you're kneading. Good luck and hope it turns out well for you.. Let me know how you get on 😁

Today, I tried with Nutella in the centre and it was perfect. Freeze it before you put it in, you will be saved from the mess.

I just finished making the dough and it is rising but I will bake these buns in the oven at 350 got about 15 to 20 minutes as I want individual sandwich buns. Hope they will turn out well, I been baking bread for over 30 years and this is a very basic, easy dough. Thanks for sharing! 😊👍

1. yes you can replace oil with butter using the same amount.
2. You can trim to half the amount of yeast & salt & Egg or you may use a small sized egg.

Great video! 😃 I want to make bread now. lol I will say that it’s best to use an all stainless steel air fryer because the rest have forever chemicals and various other chemicals from the coatings and plastics which are very toxic. Consider using a cotton towel over plastic wrap too to avoid the chemicals in plastic that are endocrine disrupters and increase harmful estrogen in the body. 🙏
Hmm, the bottom didn't look done. It looked awfully pale. I know it would smell amazing though. I love the smell of bread dough and baked bread😋🥖🍞
Hi, Thank you:). I have to say bottom is pale since the heating element of the air fryer is on top, but I guarantee that It's bottom is pale but its well done. :)

The type of flour can make it different. Just try to add some more flour.
