Stagnant behavior and lack of communication. Partners should inspire each other and want to grow independently and share that with their partner☺️

To me, the most common reasons for breakups are ingratitude and incompatibility. It saddens me that dating these days have become diluted as someone new or ‘better’ is just one swipe away. To some extent, it’s true that to love is to decide regardless of ‘better’.

    • @TheCoffeeCat
      @TheCoffeeCat Рік тому +4

Exactly, I told my ex that same thing - love is a decision, because there's always someone better out there and if we don't decide to love, we will always be in FOMO, which is no way to live.

I was told I would always be an option. Welcome to the new world of dating.

@@TheCoffeeCatthere’s not always someone better, you usually take what you have for granted.

@@Wildanimal864. If you count the 7 billion people out there, most likely there is always someone out there who is objectively better and a better match. But it's not about finding the best one of all. It's about finding someone who is both fairly compatible with you and also willing to communicate, negotiate and work on the relationship. When you have that, it's more than good enough, and love from then on is a decision you have to make and stick with it. Life is short.

If your bored that means your boring. It takes both of us to keep things exciting. It's tough to keep someone excited all the time. If they love you enough, you will find excitement in most things you do. 💯

My excitement comes from inside. I have no expectations of others providing that to me. My excitement is easy & close to my soul. Simple joys & pleasures, nature alone can provide that.
If others don’t have a simplicity like that…drama.

I’m coming up on 30 days no contact. We split because she was stretched too thin, owning her business, single mom with sports activities. I treated her very good. She was not use to the genuine love, affection and respect. Admitted to having very bad choices in me and was not sure how to receive me. We dates for 5 months and split almost a month. Even thought I didn’t want it, I understood that being in her life cause her much stress and guilt that it was making her sick trying to see me and keep me happy which was only once a week. I miss her

Fantastic advice Rory☺️We should treat our partners in a way that demonstrates that every new day holds new opportunities for learning, expanding our horizons and increasing our experiences. And we should be doing that whether or not we are in a relationship 🤗

👍 Very interesting. I remember there was a saying years ago that a couple married or got together because of a lack of understanding, and separated/divorced as they had grown to know each other well. Cynical but so true.

Because overtime, people grow each other out… And they become less compatible to be in a healthy relationship. Therefore they choose to breakup and look for another person thats more compatible.

    Hey Rory,
could you please do another video on long distance break ups? My ex and I have been doing long distance for 4 months now- it hasn’t been easy because we weren’t able to see each other for the last 2 months but we were planning to meet New Year’s Eve again (I already bought my tickets etc). Also the situation was going to be a lot easier from January as I will have my own apartment by then and he won’t have to stay at a hotel anymore each time he comes to visit me. Also, in two years I will move to his city to finish my studies there. Still, a few days ago he called me and told me that he couldn’t do the distance anymore, it was too hard for him. I completely understand that it’s not something that anyone can do, however I wish that he would have given us the chance to see how things could be from January on. every time we saw each other again, he told me that this was giving him the strength to continue fighting. That’s why I think, he should’ve given us another chance. Desperate as I was, I proposed to come and see him the exact next day, but he refused… he never told me, nor any of his friends that the distance was getting so hard that he was considering a break up. I wish he would’ve told me so that we could have found a solution. After our call, he texted one of our friends, telling her about the break up and saying that he loves me, misses me but that he couldn’t do it anymore. He also told her that he refuses to my proposition to come, because he knew he would doubt his decision again. He also said that he knew he would regret his decision and that one day (at a better time) he would wanna come back to me and that he hopes we will find each other again. What do I do? Is working NC the same way in long distance relationships
? how do I get him back and make him see that it’s worth the fight? I’m just afraid that by the moment the time is “right” he will have forgotten me or have found someone new. He always said that in me he had found the woman he would want to marry one day and that if ever we were to break up, he’d hope that destiny will bring us back together.. I’m so heartbroken, especially because he said that he wouldn’t have broken up if it wasn’t for the long distance 😔 For New Year’s Eve I will still go to Paris (the city he lives in) and stay at a friends house- should I meet him when I’m there? A video on that subject would be amazing. Thank you for your great work Rory❤️

In my case, my ex told she is a bored by that routine. As she said, she wanted drama. It is what she really says. She loves to cry, to remember bad, to remember good, to be a childlike and recall her Grandfather who took her on the shoulders even is her early teen - years. The more I think, the more I realize I should have been as the person before our relationship. I did not avoid woman, but I get only what I wanted. I realized what I needed. I can't even tell now distinctly. Coaches call that 'Sigma-male'. Now I feel like I am some kind of omega. wattsappers don't write to me! I listen only the Love Chat!

My last avoidant ex said he needed boring days where nothing happened in order to not feel psychosomatic pains. He disliked my preference for going out to dinner once a week, he really wanted hard routine, so I obliged. In the end, he said he was unhappy. Shrug!

... but what happens if you try to excite things but your partner refuses to engage on those things? In the end he broke things off saying he isnt happy and cant do this anymore. But I tried so hard. I wanted to do something but he never did and then we ended up breaking up anyways?

Can you please talk about grief? I'd like to get your perspective on the end of a relationship if one of the parties experienced a tragic loss of a loved one, in my case my ex's father passed away when we were together for a year, and she became depressed and things fell apart within 6 months
