Just got the V15 detect today to replace our DC29 (bought it 11 years ago). Absolutely stunning as to how advanced this vacuum is. Just happy beyond words.
I find the sound of my V15 fine. I do like the Point and Click when emptying the dust. I also find all of the attachments go on and off very smoothly. I bought a refurbished one from a vacuum retailer here in Canada. I didn't get the Hair Screw tool but I see it's not included here for refurbished models. By buying refurbished I saved $300 in comparison to the new same model my sister bought directly from Dyson Canada. She has a cat and is very happy with how the laser shows and picks up all of the hair and debris. I have hair loss and I sew leaving fluff behind; it's shocking how much debris the vacuum picks up.
I just got one in the mail today. I ordered from QVC. Big savings and extra parts. It works so well. Unbelievable what it picked up after the regular vaccum was used yesterday. I've always wanted a Dyson. With Qvc I chose 6 payments. You can also get 12 months interest free. I love that. It works so well. The collection part comes apart and easy to wipe clean. I'm so happy with my purchase.

It contains a few extra exclusive tools and the exclusive blue filter traps even more micro dirt than any other dyson stick van and uprights as well as canisters with hepa filters n a sealed system. It even traps more dirt than their cinetic models
Hi, Thank you for your comment :) Yes it does come with some extra attachments, but they can be purchased separately later. You’re also right that the blue filter is a Hepa filter. This can also be purchased later when doing maintenance on the machine. These were only my personal reasons for buying this particular model. Do you have the Hepa version?
@@tech.nicola the regular v15 n all other v vacs from dyson with the purple filter in the back are all hepa grade filters. Dyson didn't fully clarify the blue filter on their site. It filters even more dirt down to 0.1 microns while all their other vacs from stick to uprights to canisters with the hepa filters filter down to 0.3 microns - even surpasses their cinetic models. I left my house for a month on vacation, and when I come back, I vacuumed with my Dyson V15, and I picked up 2 billion particles under 10 µm. I was horrified.
Great review but have some questions for owners of this device. Q. Does the trigger have lock for comfort? Q. How long is the power cord? Q. I currently have a Dyson Ball and was wondering how inconvenient it is to have to lie the v15 down in between and during cleans as it is not free standing?
Thank you 🙏 the trigger doesn’t lock. But the honestly the trigger is in the right place for holding as you hold the Dyson for vacuuming. The Dyson is a handheld so doesn’t have a power cord, unless you mean the power cord for charging the battery. The V15 comes with a wall mount that you can store the Dyson in. If you’d rather use a stand there is also a free standing stand available separately (at extra cost) hope that helps.
Thank you for sharing, quick question:) does it have the power button on / off or you have to keep your finger on the trigger like other model has? think v12 has that , your response would be great 👍
Hi, Firstly thank you so much for watching Yes, you are correct the V15 is like all the previous Dysons where you have a trigger button to hold when using. The V15 does feel easier to hold and manoeuvre than previous models 💙
The video and instructions do not show putting in the smaller brush attachment in the vacuum and then sliding the longer tuber attachment over it😢 We were very confused
Thanks for the great video. Really helpful. I have a question. I just bought my V15 Absolute Detect a week ago. Love it. But today I noticed on the grey part (between the purple and orange/gold parts) markings like cracks or deformity in the grey plastic. Also now see this on some of the attachments. Watching your video I think I see the same. Did you notice this? I called the local Dyson service centre and they tell me this is on all dysons. Interested to hear what you say. Thanks
Hi, thank you, excellent review 👏 I have a quick question if you don't mind. I'll be buying mine and traveling with it on my luggage, if it fits, as I live outside the US and shipping is very expensive. So could you please tell me the length of the tube which I assume is the biggest piece on the box, thank you 🙏
We have the v15 detect absolute, and the laser fluffy head doesn't have the green switch, the laser is always turned on when the vacuum is running. Maybe my mom bought a different version...
