  • I open, clean, dry, and reassemble the Dyson V15 and all of it's components. It is important to keep your Dyson V15 clean on the inside if you want it to last.

Any chance u can tell me what to do if the roller bar in the motor head stops spinning… bought V15 a couple years ago and barely used but the roller starts to spin for a second and locks every time. Frustrating. Past warrantee though. There’s no hair or anything tangling the roller so idk why…

Hi! Best case is the battery is failing and you have to replace it. You can try to buy a replacement battery to see if that helps. Sadly if it's not the battery and it's internal or the sensor is broken, you have to get it serviced.
If you bought using a cc, some cards might provide 1 year of extra product warranty. I understand how frustrating it is when this happens especially past warranty.

@@TheFrenchGlow Hi thanks so much for your reply, I really appreciate it! I don't think it's the battery because it works fine with the other soft brush motor head (yellow and blue) for hard floor use. So must be something to do with that particular vacuum head? But I can't vacuum carpet anymore, which is a lot of the house. Perhaps replacing the head alone will solve it...
Funny story but we got a previous Dyson I think it was the V5? animal 10 years ago, and that corded model worked like a charm for many years. Why did I replace it? Oh yea it seemed like the cordless model would be so convenient haha.
I will check the cc idea. Thanks much for your help!
