"Not getting frustrated" when playing with a sibling. Seems as if someone has forgotten about how the split screen worked in these early games. Devs: "Alright, were gonna make it so when two people playing co-op move 8 feet away from each other the screen limits will hold them both back until someone screams at the other leaving high tension in the room for the rest of the play session."
My brother always loved level 3-1 which invariably led to me and him gluing our characters to opposite sides of the screen, he would be trying his best to make it into that level, while I fought to play literally any level besides that one. Ironically enough, five years later while replaying the whole game (because transferring data between the Wii and WiiU is nigh impossible,) I realized that it had now become my favorite level as well...

Actually, Chewie DID get his medal (sort of) Carrie Fisher appeared on MTV to do an interview on her take of the then-new Star Wars prequels in 1997. The interviewers eventually asked her what she thought of Chewie not getting a medal in A New Hope, and she said she thought it was a shame. Unbeknownst to her, the producers had brought over Peter Mayhew and had him dressed in full Chewbacca costume backstage. The interviewers agreed with Carrie, then handed her a replica of the same medal props used at the end of A New Hope, played the Award Ceremony music over the stage's sound system while Chewie stepped out, and had her award Chewie his forgotten medal right there and then. Seriously, go look it up; it's hilarious and touching all at the same time.

There were somethings I didnt know until I watched the movie (like leia and luke not knowing they were related) but i find it funny i got my intro to star wars knowledge through this lego game.
Given George Lucas's problems with writing dialogue, I'd say Lego Star Wars is indeed a good place for newcomers to get into the story. No having to sit through Anakin and Padme's awkward courtship dialogue! It's a shame I never got around to finishing the game before my Xbox 360 died.

The original version of Lego Star Wars is way harder than any of the other Traviler's Tales Lego games. However, I still think that it is one of the best games in the series.

While I agree that the Star Wars games work with no voices, I think the comic book LEGO games work much better with voice acting. Lego Batman was fun, but the lack of voice acting really hurt it. It also helps people who have never seen the movies. I know one of the biggest complaints about the LEGO Harry Potter games was that if you hadn't seen the movies, you would have no idea what's going on.

The other games, you could tell what was going on because the games were based on the movies and basically just summarized the plot. Batman had an original plot for the game, and the story didn't make that much sense without voice acting.
I completely disagree. I quite enjoyed Lego Batman, but it's sequel Lego Batman 2 (which had voice acting) just fell flat for me. Other voice acted Lego games since have been hit and miss, sometimes reenacting the original scene too well because they now have the voices.

Future Lego games are far, far better about the reward for getting everything and anything. Also, you can skip the intro scrolls, it literally says "PRESS START" in flashing capital letters...
Noah M Just gonna gush for a second. I remember how Boba Fett was the best combat character, because he had the super thermal detonators, the super blaster that combined with the red brick did 4 damage, jet pack, and, and... I'm gonna go play now.
I got 100% in both this & The Clone Wars III and I completely agree that the actual the completionist reward isn’t worth it. Now don’t get me wrong both games are a blast to play, but the reward you get for going through all of that is not satisfying at all.
I'm guessing he was referring to the first time you play the levels, when the cut scenes are unskippable. He must have gotten the scrolling footage when replaying the levels (when you can skip the credits).
This was the first game I got for my Xbox 360 as a gift. This way wayyy back when it came out.. I played this game to it's whole competition.. Really, really fun game.
"And it was a cute, accessible adventure..." *shows footage of pod racing* u wot m8? Also, notice the flashing 'Press START' in all those scrolls? What did you think that meant? Otherwise, fair video.
When I was a kid I and my brothers had loge star wars II. My older brother and I got to 99.8%. Meanwhile, my younger brother (who was like 5 it the time) kept making new games and deleted are game. (Thank you Lego star wars for only having 3 save files)

Teddy Underhill Clone Wars comics as much as the rest of the EU was never regarded as canon. I personally enjoyed some of the EU like Legacy and Knights of the Old Republic I liked. But I find it funny that before the EU was marked as non-canon, a majority of people on here regarded the EU and I quote: ''Fan-written horse shit'' which was unfair as the EU had some good stories as well as bad. But ever since Disney announced it wasn't canon officially then all of a sudden there's hundreds of EU fans turning up demanding Disney's head.

+Ham Sallett ha me too
Same
I can´t even remember, which was the first for me. I highly suggest it was Mario World.
I got really tired of playing after I got all the gold bricks, the challenge kits and the super walkthroughs weren't enough.
I used to play Lego Star Wars on the GameCube and I played on the Wii and I still have the Wii version!
Caleb Carver rly? mine's on a GBA cartridge.
Caleb Carver same.
who doesn't
Caleb Carver had it on ps2 and it was my favorite game.
ABCZ12+-Joystick. In that jumble I told the Wii versions controls
Future Lego games are far, far better about the reward for getting everything and anything.
Also, you can skip the intro scrolls, it literally says "PRESS START" in flashing capital letters...
yeah
Yeah, but THE NOSTALGIA.
+caden flanagan the Nostalgia is so real!!!!
Noah M Just gonna gush for a second. I remember how Boba Fett was the best combat character, because he had the super thermal detonators, the super blaster that combined with the red brick did 4 damage, jet pack, and, and...
I'm gonna go play now.
Parade On Mars Yeah, that too.

“Undeniable swagger of the smoothest brother in the Galaxy.”
V.S
“Exaggerated swagger of a black teen.”
A video on the only game I've ever completed. Isn't that sad?
To anyone who has ever played did you ever get ghost yoda. I did... pure swag.
@@burnttoast0482 loved the ghost characters
I got 100% in both this & The Clone Wars III and I completely agree that the actual the completionist reward isn’t worth it. Now don’t get me wrong both games are a blast to play, but the reward you get for going through all of that is not satisfying at all.
@@RokushoTheRavager big facts. a stud fountain when you already have max studs.
BurntToast 04 I did it was fun playing as ghost yoda against Emperor in free play on the end of episode 3
ITS EVEN FLASHING PRESS START
19:50 you do realize you can press start to skip right
i dont think he did... i feel sorry for him....
+LALM thelegendary how did he not notice press start in big letters
i dont know....
I'm guessing he was referring to the first time you play the levels, when the cut scenes are unskippable. He must have gotten the scrolling footage when replaying the levels (when you can skip the credits).
You can skip the credits anytime you want, including the first time.
Getting Anakin’s force ghost character was probably my proudest moment ever
This was the first game I got for my Xbox 360 as a gift. This way wayyy back when it came out.. I played this game to it's whole competition.. Really, really fun game.
Same thing, but for PS3.
same, but for the wii
Same but for Super Nintendo
same but for gamecube
"And it was a cute, accessible adventure..."
*shows footage of pod racing*
u wot m8?
Also, notice the flashing 'Press START' in all those scrolls? What did you think that meant?
Otherwise, fair video.
Liam White pod race was bad but don’t get me started on mustafar.
The skips only appear after you complete the level
The “Press START” button is a skip feature after you finished the level the first time.
@@iceflame9535 You can always skip the scrolls, even if you have never played the level before.
This game brings back so many memories ;-;
yes
Don't you mean bricks back?
This game makes me cry because I lost my Lego Star Wars the complete saga in 2011. I cry for 2 months.
You’re so right saying this game is perfect to become a completionist. I remember spending hours on it as a kid.

Is the Lost Orb of Phanastacoria.
nerd
@@Smileyreal And?
WHY DO WE NOT HAVE A LEGO BACK TO THE FUTURE TRILOGY YET?!
We have Lego Dimensions now.
Next we have Lego Godfather
Lego Terminator
Lego Mortal Kombat
Lego Alien
Lego Doom
Lego Breaking Bad
Lego Legoes
Lego Alien could be interesting...
+SpiritWolf 324 I see what you did there.
+Geometry Dash Xenon In Lego, no one can hear you scream
I'm cool with Lego Terminator as long as they make an "I'll be brick" reference.
Let's not forget Lego 50 shades of Gray
Darth Vader: Pulls out photo of him and his hot pregnant wife to show his son.
Single best adapted moment in any Lego game ever.
When I was a kid I and my brothers had loge star wars II. My older brother and I got to 99.8%. Meanwhile, my younger brother (who was like 5 it the time) kept making new games and deleted are game. (Thank you Lego star wars for only having 3 save files)
" Meanwhile, my younger brother (who was like 5 it the time) kept making new games and deleted are game." Yoooo I used to hate that in games back then!!!! lol Idk how I survived around my younger siblings
The best thing to ever come out of the Prequels...
Don't forget the Clone Wars show.
Battlefront and Republic Commandos, man.
Teddy Underhill Yes the Filoni one. It was awesome. And I won't hear otherwise. Peace.
I thought they were decent both trilogies have it's pros & cons.
I LOVED (And still do) This game when i was younger!
19:49 But there IS a skip button.
Love the Spaceballs reference :)
they should release this on the Switch
I could get it on my Wii but I want a Switch version too.
oh my god. this would be so awesome. that's the last straw i need to buy a switch
Dunno why this and Indiana Jones isn’t. Harry Potter is.
this game gives me so many memories, when i was young i was very sick and in the hospital. they just so happened to have a wii in my room and i played the living hell out of this game.
This game was the shit of my time when I first moved into hartland meadows!
Also will you do an episode on Lego dimensions?
+Gregory Deyoung is lego dimensions a game you can complete?
You do know if he does completes that game, he'll be basically just giving money away?
+GamerJXA Mario maker
Jimmy Memer But he already had the amiibo. Plus buying EVERY LOGO FIGURE would cost WAY too much.
this game makes you FEEL like batman
10:25 uhhhh u think you mean geonosians, gammorean guards, and tusken raiders?
Wait Just Wait they call them sand people in the movies so HSNSJSN
Who needs Ghostbusters/BTTF/Simpsons when we have Steve vs Sans on the Spirit Train?
6:55
That always makes me laugh every time that happen
I hope they don't use voices in episode 7 since it's just so much better without it.
They are.
don't worry, they are voiced by the original cast.
...and there was no mention of Lego Star Wars III. Might be for a reason no one cares about it.
+EeveeParty97 Lego Star Wars 3 was awesome!
+bigevilworldwide1 Should've been 20 bucks. It was prolly the best one gameplay wise.
In the new lego games 100% does nothing but give you an achievement that sometimes says
ALL FOR NOTHING
I wish it added a bonus character or a stud level
Yodas 2 second clip from ROTS of him hopping on chewy and leaving was turned into an entire level
This game was my childhood. Me and my little brother would play it on our Wii and PS2 all the time
this game is getting free on xbox live gold (may, 2017)
You have no idea how happy this video makes me.
I was born 2006 and i remember playing this and other lego star wars game but i love this one
This game was my childhood!
6:45 “All the sounds are ripped from the movies”
*Uses Indiana Jones Music in the background*
I think I completed the game once I remember unlocking the coin fountain.
6:45 when he talks about how the music is brought straight from the movies he plays indiana Jones music, and while they are both John Williams, I'm still laughing.
7:06
“The exaggerated swagger of a black man”
Lol
