@@Reorganiser thank you, you unlocked a childhood memory of me, i did the same with me best friend in elementery school, good old times, havent talked to him since 11 years...
0:42 that scene brings back so many memories….. and one that brings memories of stepping outside of dexters diner makes the game freez (it was only episodes 1 - 3 game)
@DragonKnight90001 man I had this game on a hand-me-down ps2 and the disk was scratched. I could play every level in the game up to episode 3-2 where you get on the invisible hand and if I went near the door to chase grievous then it would crash, got the complete saga a couple years later though so still got to annihilate my little brothers on the final mission in the end
I love this game. As a kid, I lived in an apartment with a pool (not as nice as you might imagine). I was playing with one of the other kids in the pool and our moms, who were watching us, quickly became friends too. Since my mom worked *A LOT* back then & my friend's mom was a housewife, she agreed to babysit me after school until my mom got home. The other kid, Stephen, was really big into star wars. Every day after school, I'd go to his apartment and we'd play Lego Star Wars on his Gamecube for *hours,* along with other games like Jedi Outcast and Battlefront on his PS2. When the Wii came out, I got one before he did and my mom got me The Complete Saga. I invited Stephen for a sleepover and we played this all night. I still remember both of us making Miis and being in awe at this new Lego Star Wars that was twice the size of its predecessors. We run through every level trying to find the minikits and trying to unlock all the characters. I'd spend the afternoon at his house playing Battlefront, but once my mom was home to let me in, we hurried down to my place for Lego Star Wars. Haven't spoken to Stephen since 2007, I don't even remember his last name, but I'll always remember the fun we had with this game. Flash forward to 2021, veteran friend I served with invites me to his house out in KY for his birthday. Haven't seen him in a while so ofc I fly out to see him. He's a massive SW fan as well. Aside from all the partying, showing me around his town, and meeting his (really amazing) friends, we decided to try and 100% this game on the Xbox. One day we were both hungover to the point where we could barely stand. I'd prepared for this and bought pedialyte packets in advance. Neither of us wanted to go out in the hot Kentucky sun, so we sipped our hangover cure potions and played The Complete Saga until we felt better. This game holds a very special place in my heart, both from my childhood and as an adult. When I eventually have kids, I hope that I can play this with them as well - and that they get as much enjoyment out of it as I did. The sound design in this game is ingrained in my mind permanently.
So much nostalgia. I remember playing this for hours on PS2 with my younger brother. I was already a Star Wars fan but this game made me a hardcore fan.
"LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga" came out when I was seven years old". Well, I didn't expect to feel like an octogenarian today, so thanks for that.
Man the memories. I loved this game growing up it was amazing. Its cool seeing this game for the first time in years. So many things I had no idea were possible
Its way more enjoyable to watch some one else do it, i was playing this game myself got a bit bored and started to use cheat codes, not even like that i see myself doing 100%. Amazing vid anywas i enjoyed it.
3:00 Funny that you mention efficiency regarding True Jedi: in the original Lego Star Wars, each level had separate True Jedi completion status (and stud requirement) for story vs free play mode. I forget if it was the 2nd game or Complete Saga that changed the requirement to just once per level, but yeah, definitely more convenient and optimize-able from then on.
Did you mean Kansas City hero Nick Wright? 😁 really fun video Frog. I recently picked up TCS when it was on sale and had some fun playing through and maybe I'll go back and try and unlock more.
