  • Mike Barber's Commercial Beekeeping VLOG: The last 3 weeks have been crazy busy for us at Honey Bees Unlimited so join me for your tour through my story as a commercial beekeeper. This episode, Redlight Zone, documents our efforts to bring back to HQ roughly 1200 hives spread across 6 counties in over 150 locations. I will introduce you to some of the equipment we use and you will meet another member of our team plus you will see some of the sites we see as we cover the miles together. Also you will see more mite treating and testing (ZERO MITES FOUND), area feeding, running from the stings and getting stings plus a little steam blowoff at the old pond clearing a few trees. Thanks for joining us and I hope you enjoy our path to almond pollination in 2024. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Sounds good! I think we have a plan figured out to keep them coming out regular and not bog us down when we get busy. Thanks for watching. Gary

Yall had me confused! I was thinking, That sounds like Gary but it don't look like him! Then you showed him and said "my brother Gary". Thanks for that! I'm envious of that flatbed and that loader! Really smart to hit them with OA shortly after arrival at the yard. before

Haha, I can't take all the credit, Mike needs a lot. Glad y'all get to meet him now. I don't know about you, but we had an explosion in mites seemingly across all yards our 6 counties. Was brutal, 2 pronged approach has paid off, counts down to zero. We aim to keep them there as brood increases with the passing of the solstice soon.

10 hives per yard. 😮 I’ve never heard of such low yard number. 25 is the lowest I’ve heard before.

It’s a pure pollinator play. We have a lot of local clients that need 6-12 hives.
