  • In this episode we make the hard choices and lean into the season. Final prep for load of bees heading off to pollinate the almonds, loading semi chaos comes together for solid load, bees make it to California as we shift into next season with quick trip to Beeville, Texas and set up for spring grafting and splits. And the very exciting introduction of the new data tracking hive management app, NECTAR!

That pallets that you put on the grass, under the migratory pallet, do you ever treat it with diesel or oil to keep it from rotting?

Nope, just find new ones on the side. We call them trash pallets since we find them in the trash. Really protects the bee pallets though. Gary

Awesome video as always. Do you do any work in Florida at all? And is the app nectar on Apple App Store?

We are mainly in north Texas. Try to have a presence on the almonds each spring. When we have spare bee in the spring we do like to send them to some friends in Wisconsin for a honey share. nectar.buzz
I’ve been looking at it for a few months now. Wanted to give it a shot. I think it’s going to be a game changer for us as long as the data is input properly.
