That choker and neon green dress threw me back to that kiosk in the local third-rate mall (you know the one) late 90s/early 2000s that sold fake bags, bling, designer logos rendered in bling, and some tacky ass clothes liberally peppered with designer logos/monograms and/or the Gucci stripe.
I don't know if the people wearing those two things were trying to be ironic but I do kind of love it for the nostalgia value and as an ironic statement

Apparently you dont live in the desert. But I'm from northern Mexico where during the summer time we get 120F tempature and can't leave any type of plastic in your car or it will melt. Where the street pavement melts with time and a person can die if it's stays in their car more than 30 minutes. Back to your comment, mostly women here wear gloves when they drive and use only long sleeves; short sleeves are used during the spring and fall. Why do most of these looks give my brain the feeling of a bad LSD trip?
Also, I still get utterly confused about Coachella and the practicability of these outfits for festival purposes and festival grounds (all those platforms...). But then again, my festival morning routine is crawling out of a tent, wiping away yesterdays mascara and cracking open a lukewarm beer while planning which bands to watch. Not styling myself for hours.

Yeah, I don't think the celebrities/influencers are going for a real festival experience, starting with the fact that none of them are sleeping in a tent, (unless you count the $25K luxury yurts as tents [Spoiler: they don't count]) they stay at hotels or AirBNB mansions. And a lot of them do walk around and watch sets with the plebs but they can retreat to a VIP area whenever and those have air conditioning and nicer bathrooms so wearing a full leather outfit or some other impractical clothes is easier to do when you don't have to bake in the sun if you don't want to.
