To me the second look reminds me of one carnivorous plant that has sweet tendrills (exactly like the dress, white with red/purple ballish/droplet shape at the ends) and im not a exactly in the know when it comes to Björk but it also goes with her vibe, I think that's what the dress is inspired by

This Coachella really had Luke analyzing and breaking-down a high cut, multi-pocketed jeans and a laced Shein corset look/get-up.
And did it soooo eloquently,I literally thought it was another elaborate outfit, when I wasn’t facing the tv-screen😂😂
😍I LOVE Bjork's outfits! They remind me of dandelions! I do like how it looks super cool like she's sprouting plants and mold. It does remind me of decay but in a beautiful way. Like taking a walk through a forest and seeing a fallen tree trunk with moss all over it. I'm just really into it!
As someone who loves actual vintage hippie fashion and can appreciate a modern interpretation of it on one hand, and absolutely hates rave/festival fashion on the other hand, Coachella fashion is just... a no for me. It tries to be both of these things and miserably fails.
I am not a Kardashian fan, but I actually love that Kendall showed up in black jeans (sans waistband) and tank top with back cut out...instead of fake “look-at-me-pretending-to-be-a-hippie” outfit.

Thanks for turning me on to Noir Kei Ninomiya. I didn't pay any attention to Coachella this year but your show notes listed Björk so I simply had to see what she wore and that led to me reading the British Vogue article on her appearance, which not only discussed Ninomiya (fabu link to an article about him) but it discussed Björk's musical intentions. Did you know one of the costumes was sound sensitive? I love clothes that participate😊
The celebs that dressed boring - like I don't really mind, sometimes they just wanna go to the festival to have fun and watch the performances. I think we've collectively forgotten that Coachella is music festival and not a fashion show for influencers/celebrities. Which is what it's dissolved into

I really liked Rosalia's outfit. It was windy during her set and it made her sleeves a little bit more flowy. They got in her way a couple of times and I know that probably annoyed her but I think it also made the look more dynamic.

I am a chronic tiktok user and I have never understood who decided that most of those tiktok people should be famous. I remember when that Charlie damelio girl was getting popular...it didn't make sense to me because all she did was "dance" but it wasn't actual dancing... It was a lot of weird hand movements and wiggling.

I feel that Blackpink Coachella performance needs a section of its own. I really loved Rose’s Paco Rabanne and the traditional hanboks they wore kn the beginning! But not only their performance fits but also the ones they wore when seeing other artists.

Billie Eilish ain't wearing nobody, she rolled out of bed and got on her jet. I am SO pleased at Bjork, and her clothing choices.. absolutely stunning. I also love Flo Milli & I was excited to see her in Pucci, it suits her style. Emma Roberts' Prada dress was so pretty, I love that too.

@@el972 I was thinking this. I definitely think Coachella is falling off, but even though I haven't finished the video yet, Bad Bunny, Billie Eilish, Blackpink are quite popular in the charts... Sure they're young, but it feels mean to undermine their success because they're not recognized by someone.
It's probably just a case of different interests, therefore people celebrities in the radar.
And maybe the pandemic changing people's willingness to attend huge festivals.

Idk fashion really but I love that Noir Kei Kinonumiya is using microorganism inspo in their design! The two models you showed looked a lot like the lattice style shell you see in radiolarians. The round shaped shell is so avant garde, I never thought about this, but the natural bell-shaped shell is perfect for a dress! Bjork's Coachella look takes the radiolarian look a step further because they even designed the little amoeba feet poking through the shell!!!!!!!! I do agree with you Luke, though, the little dots at the end look like they have fungus spores inside so it could be a fusion of natural ideas.

Love: Bjork's first look and that first headpiece. Teyana Taylor's jacket especially, but really, her whole look! Flo Milli's Pucci look was flawless and I am totally biased towards cowboy boots, so I loved her whole look. Jennie's pearl halter 😘 - Chef's kiss. Charli D'Amelio's white dress - not practical, but cute with those fishnets and chunky boots, which added a little oomph.😊

With Alex i think the macrame under the vest is actually crochet! Especially at the top portion with the collar where it looks soft and almost scalloped, it looks like crochet to my fiber arts loving eyes! I actually appreciate that the celebrities are tonning down their Coachella outfits and letting the influencers just go off. I'm hoping one day Coachella goes back to being a hippie resurgence concert in the dessert as opposed to a camp runway show
