If your own siblings haven’t spoken to you and they’re usually the ones with the most information about what really happened behind the scenes. That tells me all I need to know. That his own family would cut him off for his toxic behavior…. just makes me believe there is even more that the public hasn’t been made aware about.

If he was to get with someone with the same resources he has, I doubt he’d be invested. That’s why it’s disgusting that people so easily dismiss what he’s done. He’s literally used his power to make young boys questioning their sexuality do things they normally wouldn’t have done. Say they haven’t sent someone a lewd picture over the internet before. However because James has money and connections, they were influenced by those things to reciprocate his attention. Maybe unconsciously or consciously. However you can’t tell me if a person with money and status messaged you as a child/teenager you wouldn’t be more likely to do the things they asked to keep their attention. I understand how shallow that might sound but it’s just the way the human mind works. We put more stock into people with perceived influence. It’s the entire reason Stan culture exists. I mean if you want a perfect example of this power dynamic being used for nefarious purposes, look at the Austin Jones case.
I think this article is a really bad take on so many levels but one thing i wonder is how long they’ve had this planned because the timing could not have been worse as seemingly the whole internet is now having discourse about influencer/fan interactions and inappropriate conversations in the wake of the Colleen Ballinger situation

Just fact he thinks he is 21 with 40 year old mentality 1) sounds extremely predatory as reason why he wants younger people because if that was case he would want someone older than him or same age 2) he is unexperienced in life because when I was 16-18 I thought I have mentality of 30 year old cause I had gone through so much but as I grew up I understood that I am extremely unexperienced in life and I am not sure if he is gonna realize that at some point or not

I looked at Gabrielle Bluestone's linkedin and while she went to law school it does not appear she held a job at a firm or a corporation as an attorney. So she likely passed the bar and did her internships, but decided to be a journalist afterward. She has never *practiced* as an attorney, which means something very different than just having a JD and being a member of the bar.

My spouse and I also read it as *very* sarcastic, but maybe that’s just all the wild cuts to home decor choices and the inlayed photos that just read to me as “..👀 yeah and.. hehe what else?” But the reply comment is also very much true, if a majority of people read it and do not read sarcasm and mild mocking tone, then they kind of failed the original mission I guess?

his PR team frustrate me because i genuinely believe James was doing decent ( considering his circumstances ) on tiktok and could have salvaged his brand. This article did him bad, no one cares for his brand rather the downplaying of his allegations and are now going back to actively not supporting him. Something that has always struck me is the contradictory and manipulative way that James uses his wealth to try to attract partners. In a lot of cases he offers to pay for people and uses his wealth and lifestyle to attract partners, but then says he wishes he didnt have to pay for everything, or he uses what he gave to that person or paid for as a reason to be bitter if they dont give him what he wants.

I don''t believe James really likes to prey on minors. HOWEVER, his approach to men is always been disgusting and concerning. I've stopped watching him right before his drama with Tati cause he sounded so dirty. I remember when he did the videos with Mario and Kim for KKW Beauty and he was telling Mario some strange things and he looked uncomfortable af: Mario didn't come out yet at the time and still looks like a more private man. The fact that his desperation leaded him into this mess speaks for himself, like his need to use his economic benefits to find love. He's probably an insecure person, maybe he should quit being an influencer and start theraphy. He can afford it. He has a potential future into the housing market in L.A. imo. If he really wants to show the world he's innocent, he should really use his legal team differently: he should provide evidences and completely QUIT using IG for more than business. I don't feel sorry for him at all and I think his audience has been generous for the most cause he had fans from all over the world and 15/16 y.o.s have legal sexual freedom in a lot of countries (mine included). His attitude towards love indicates a toxic attachment style that needs to be treated. In fact, it's giving him more issues than anything else.
Finally, I don't like how the journalist spoke about those boys: they were minors and at the end of the day, he did an illegal act. You can be fooled one time, but as a genZ he should use internet more carefully. Especially cause, as an influencer, he can also "influence" younger people.
The last thing I want to address is the lack of emotional education all the involved parts showed: the boys who used internet to fraud him and gain popularity on tiktok, James and his insatiable thirst that could lead him to do awful stuff (again, I think it's kinda pathologic), this journalist who talked about all this situation as Gossip Girl have the empathy of a stone.

Thank you! I never got the hype surrounding his channel. Most of his career was lies and drama. Yet you have his fans out here acting like he’s the pinnacle of an influencer. He admitted to doing these things and still they see no issue with supporting him. I couldn’t live with myself if I knowingly defended someone who openly admitted to using their power to manipulate young men into doing sexual things for their own benefit. It just blows my mind how people conceptualize “age differences” in relationships. Like yes, as a later 20s person… the idea of dating a 23 year old feels like the emotional equivalent of a child. Christ half 50 year old aren’t emotionally mature but I digress. How can James say “I’m more like a 40 year old but with that said I want someone very near my age ‘with a young personality.’” That just sounds like you want a young naive person to control and manipulate 🤪🤪! Yes people in huge age gaps do have agency and can have amazingly supportive partners. BUT it really just seems at this point that James has gotten used to “power” and is actively looking for a person who is “weaker” than him. Thanks for your commentary here!!

Something I don't think I've seen been discussed, is what James Charles says on the Logan Paul podcast. We already look at straight, actual older men who specifically want to be with younger women as gross. The same is (& should be) applied to those who are gay. Although James is actually young himself, to actually say with his whole chest, that he has a 40 year old mindset, that he is mentally and emotionally more mature than those his age (& thus younger) then WHY is he specifically seeking out those younger than himself? He said he isn't **physically** attracted to older men, but then just talks about wanting men who have "a younger * *personality* *" Obviously his actions have just solidified the ickk, but his own words prior to any apology videos, showed what his intentions are and to be surprised it happened and keeps happening is silly.
