Nice upgrade, but I think you oughta take some time to record the final product around the truck and let us see the result of what the truck looks like.
How come the truck is dirty as hell? It doesn't take much to clean the dirt off before working on it. And using an impact on everything is lazy and amateurish. Going to have loose bolts everywhere.
When the truck is clean it’s a “pavement princess” but when it’s dirty it’s gonna lose bolts. Can’t win them all 🤷♂️ 😂 but to be fair we had gone wheeling the day before this shoot which is why it was dirty 🤙
Check your nitrogen pressures to make sure they're up to spec. Mine were off a little and it makes a difference. Love my Kings! Been running them for 5 years on both my 4Runners.
This is my fear taking my vehicle to a shop for modifications and repairs. This can really screw with your head and wallet 2000 miles down the road. After you spent 2 hours in a frozen garage trying to figure out why your vehicle is not rolling smoothly; you are really pissed at yourself for paying someone else to set-up your vehicle. Ohhhh The HORROR!!!!!

I just want for my 2007 fj cruiser 2 Wheel drive to replace my original shocks for a better conforble Ride on regular roads. I was told Ranchos are good fit but I don't know which one for the front & back. What specific shocks,( i guess package or kit & comes with strats & spring coils) affordable purchase do you recommend ? Only the shocks?
Hey Omar, we have a team of experts that can give you multiple options for this questions with explanations, feel free to contact them at support@tacomabeast.com and ask for Dustin, he’ll be happy to help you 🙌
Just found and subscribed to this channel...and I’m really being turned on to the TACO! Lux is right around the corner from my house and I wish I’d known about this feature 👌🏽 - @305illest in Miami Springs
Something that has bothered me concerning the cost of these sets is you spend thousands and you still mount the reservoir with some cheese hose clamps.
Feedback on leaf springs......how much weight do you think your carrying in the rear? Do you still have an arch in springs or are they flatted out? GREAT VIDEO BTW! Stage 3 Deaver
For sure on my next mod lift wise I'm running icons right now without resis and I love em! But I just want an upgrade here in another year or so but I think I'm going to get mine powder coated silver and black and maybe a little red. I like the blue just want something a little different is all! Thanks for the great vid TCMBST. From your friend at @TacomaNationTc
I heard you need to wrap kings in 3m tape otherwise they look like hell in a year's time? I really want them but am worried about the install on a Power Wagon
before these King Shocks. using the Eibach. Was there any modifications done. I was doing some reading and it said if you aftermarket you can't bring your truck back to stock is that true?
That is usually the case when you have to cut your cross member to fit a 6” lift. This would NOT be the case with any of the lifts we installed on our truck.
@@tacomabeast Thank you for your reply! I really appreciate it! What about the rear? Once you adjusted the front driver coil-over did that fix the rear lean as well, or are the leaf packs side oriented and driver leaf pack is stiffer?

King may have a good product. But I will never put it on anything I own because of the color. Can't stand the blue. Maybe start offering it in different colors besides blue. Not every one wants blue on there truck.
I want to lift my Tacoma to Adleast 6 in. What suspension lift kits would you recommend? I’m looking for all in 1 kit. I am not too familiar with lifting a vehicle. I lifted my old 4Runner with a 3 in suspension kit from rough country. But please comment what you guys think!
6in kits are just for looks, no functional improvement, our advice is to stay away unless all you wanna do is mall crawl. If you want more capability, then 3in is where its at
Nice upgrade, but I think you oughta take some time to record the final product around the truck and let us see the result of what the truck looks like.
Id set the lift height if you are actually doing serious offroading to 2”-2.5”max.
What's good with the Eibach review?
What am I doing here knowing I only have an SR 😅
I don’t even have a Tacoma but already want some 😂
Same😂
Welcome to the King Shocks family!
What "diff drop kit" did you use for your taco ? I ordered my Kings and intend for a 3"ift as well
Congrats man I was actually just looking at buying a kings lift kit for my Tacoma today also.
Where your shop located at?
I like to have my done.

@@ShockSurplus Thanks! I rebuilt the Kings on my 2012 after I put about 40k miles on them. I will pass your info on to others though.
your tires are inside out. there is an indication on the tire wall saying "this side outboard"

Classic look of happiness 😁 at 7:11. I’m sure my face will look similar once I get Kings installed in the near future.
Wanna donate a set of these to the Broke Taco Owner foundation?
I just love the way Kings look on a Tacoma!
Blue starting to grow on us
Which coil springs? 600lb?
Wow that’s a solid upgrade. Thanks for showing the install process.
Here's some addition reading you might want to do before installation:

Sweet rig man. I like the dirt Kings UCA . I'll be installing some Fox DSC 2.5 and some dirt Kings uca on the 22nd on my 5th gen 4Runner can't wait.
Same. I doing it to my 2020 trd pro 4Runner With 33 bfg's. I can't wait
How much thread is on the shocks?? When i install my 2 years a go i put a driver side on 1.7/8” and a passenger side 1 5/8”, im correct?
You will love da kings Braddah 😎🤙🏾
I love my Kings on my 16 Tacoma, welcome to the club, finally! I still need to do the differential drop kit, it’s been sitting in my garage 🤦🏻♂️
Did you ever do it? Also would this be a good addition to a trd sport?
@@DavyDave1313 yes.
Part # for this diff drop kit?
Old eibach giveaway?
Should you only a line it after driving 200 miles
i got my truck lifted 3in. by 4wheel parts they told me i didnt need a diff drop when you only lifting your truck 3in.
How to make it highly soft, smooth?
These shocks feels very smooth!
How much was this install with the new Kings plus labor?

This is rich blood stuff right here
How does the 3in lift ride vs stock height?
I've had so many problems with rough country I've heard king is the best ill give it a try
Rough country is the lowest quality brand out there!
You will love King! Iv ran them on my taco for years!!!
That’s a badass aligner ;)
I can’t wait to throw some Kings on my tacoma!
Was thinking of doing this upgrade my self over a weekend one day. Might need a hand after seeing the spring compression part hmm. Appreciate the vid!

How much for one of the installations? Or what's the average cost?
That’s very dependent on the shop you go to, I would call them and ask for a quote estimate 🤷♂️
What would be the effect of stretching the hose a bit?
Isnt thete a king shock for the tacoma that is only one inch lift for 3rd gen tacoma?
There should be 🤙
Do you have to lift the truck to add the kings on your website?
no, these kings fit onto a factory vehicle, and they provide lift themselves, they dont require a lift to be installed, there's a difference.
would the settings for a 3 inch lift be the same for every truck? also are these the extended length?
most of the time yes its in the same basic range of preload
Does anybody knows how much cost that suspension kit? Thanks in advance for your answer,
The long travel kit goes for around $3100 on our website 🤙

Thank you for the info, I will checkout your website

I bought that whole set up for 2500$ brand new. All around king 2.5
JGD where did you got it installed?
@JGD now that's a plug! 🤙
wish they made kings in a red color, blue dont match my quicksand Tacoma
I have a 2019 Tacoma trd pro with the factory king shocks, what could I do to improve ride quality on the road without getting all new suspension

so much for direct bolt on haha why drilling holes lmao
For the bolts to go into 😂
Random question, what is the size of tire on that black limited 4runner that was in frame about 6:09 min?
hello, what do I need to study to make off road modifications?
If you have a stock Tacoma and want to put kings on it but with no lift can they fit in there or will you still need to compress the spring?
I have a 89 extra cap offroad toyota like to have the overland on it.

How do you know/ do pre load the height to 3”?
How much is the labor for that set up
Really depends on the shop you go to, a lot of shops will quote you some insane amounts simply because they don’t want to do it so ask around a lot 🤙😂
Let's install after cleaning
That’s what I’m saying
I heard you need to wrap kings in 3m tape otherwise they look like hell in a year's time? I really want them but am worried about the install on a Power Wagon
How is the suspension system when you’re on the highway if I was going to be traveling for a while before I got to where I was going off-road
it's like a Cadillac, extremely smooth! you can also adjust the knobs for your desired comfort ride.
What song was that
Did the king coils come with the diff drop kit or did you buy separate
They're separate
How do different suspension setups effect towing ?
most of the time aftermarket suspension is an upgrade over stock, in the towing department.
ughh I'd kill for an overland build.. dang prices are insane for mods and upgrades.
One piece at a time bruh. I’m 2 years in on mine and not even close to done haha👊🏻
Are the rear shocks interchangeable. Or is there a specific left or right side like the fronts.
Should be interchangeable
Did you really install all that without a torque wrench?
😳😎
would this lift the 3rd gen TRD Pro or would it be the same ride height
These would lift a TRD Pro
before these King Shocks. using the Eibach. Was there any modifications done. I was doing some reading and it said if you aftermarket you can't bring your truck back to stock is that true?
For those that ask why would someone want you want to go back to stock is if you were to trade or sell the truck.
That is usually the case when you have to cut your cross member to fit a 6” lift. This would NOT be the case with any of the lifts we installed on our truck.
do you sell the diff drop kit??
Nice Rig, what wheels & tires are you running?
We run method 317’s and bf Goodrich KM3’s
Insane setup
Does it comes with them spacers for the diff?
It does not come with spacers no
How many miles are on your tacoma ?
You’re definitely going to be doing a video on that 500 mile trip right? Sounds awesome, I would love to see the route
Definitely will be making a few videos showing you how we gear up for the trip and during the adventure.
Was the ride stuff at 3inches? I ordered a set of Kings and I'm torn on how high to do the lift.
King pre-sets them out of the box at around 2in of lift on a factory Tacoma
Did you look at the Kings 3.0?

Extended brake lines?
You could also upgrade those if you like 🤙
Nice lift set up...💯😎
I hope one day I can do it on my Tacoma
what's the typical cost of installation?
Do it yourself. Well then again, I am a mechanic/tech. 🤣
Great video! After installing the lift/suspension do you still have the "taco lean"? If so, how were you able to address it? Thank you
We adjusted the driver coil to take into account the taco lean. 🙌

Yes these can go on a factory Tacoma at factory height

around 1500 a pair I think.
