So cool to see new options like this hit the market. To be able to bolt on a single product and get a lift, regear, disc conversion and full float conversion is pretty epic.
Looks badass!!
On a side note, him cutting the fenders with no face or eye protection was wild lol..
its crazy how none of the car youtubers i watch wear safety gear...no gloves no glasses no respirator..insane
It was the blowing of the brake dust without a mask and cutting the axle with a 4 1/2 grinder and no face shield that made me cringe
Don't worry, I'm sure safety squint was engaged.
Not all faces are pretty enough to need protection, apparently.
Most frustrating thing about DIY UA-camrs. No eye pro to be had and the ppl watching the DIY vids to replicate the project don’t know any better. Potentially literally the blind leading the blind 🙈
Speechless, simply badass. What the guys at 74weld are doing is nuts.
The smile on Mateo's face says it all... #PortalGang 🤘
Agreed #portalGang ✌️
That company is awesome for creating such a great performing product. Def on my wish list
Drooling on this massive upgrades.. I really like it
now you gotta give your portals an oil change, have you serviced those kings yet? should revalve with the new unsprung weight, probably added an easy 50lbs to each corner with the tire and aluminum
Awesome set up & skills to pay the bills
AWESOME! Your truck is insane!
So humble and inspiring!!!!!!
lol idiot
That thing looks AWESOME
This is dope! That equipment definitely looks top notch!
It is!
Hell yea. This Taco is now a real beast🤙
I appreciate that you installed portal axles.:)
Sorry, but i had to laugh when I heard 39. Quinn talked me out of going with 40s, for good reason. He said 38s are enough. So I got jelz when i heard 39s. Lol, you guys are so smooth and just roll through the challenges that popped up. Thanks for all your videos and constant teachings.
That was looking insane and absolutely killer 🥹😏
Very nice! Interested to hear about changes you have to make with 529’s
YOU ARE OFFICIALLY THE TACOMA BEAST 🤙 🙇♂️
that's a work of art
I found out about the portals earlier this year when I saw his Taco rolling down the highway and saw 74weld on the side and looked'em up.
Looks good, love it
Toyota Monster Truck. I loved seeing it in person
FYI those rotors are on backwards, air flow is from center out because of centrifugal force.
Yep. I noticed that too.
hardcore! love that beast!
I am getting rid of my Jeep JK Rubicon and getting a Taco! Awesome man! Congratulations 🎉
Welcome to the Toyota family 👍🏼 jeeps suck honestly
Bro, it looks sick!!! 🇺🇸
Tacoma’s for life 🤘🏼
37’s were wild, 39 seems like pushing your luck 😆
I hated the power loss just going to 33s haha cant imagine
I think he will be ok since he has the portals aaaaaaand 5:29s!!!🤍😳
@@ryanjaramillo8152look up what portals do as far as gearing. Plus he's on 529s. Not gonna compare to what you're experiencing.
@@mattechurch8085.29’s are meant for 35’s not 39’s. I run a 5.29 gear and 35’ setup and it already sucks with the power loss. 39’s are fucking overkill on a Tacoma
Damn he really did go over the max torque of that torque wrench
19:18 GYAAAT 🔥👋🏼
Bro! It looks bomb 💣 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Who did I just watch that put portals on a 2023 4 runner. Killer upgrade!
Stellar Built
Awesome video!😀
Thanks! 😀
Can’t wait!
Damn!...portals looks hella damn sick on a Tacoma.
Can confirm this truck drives amazing on portal axels. They turn those 39’s like they’re nothing.
She's freaking looks SICK bro!!!
Dang that looks awesome!!!! I can’t wait to put these on my taco! Definitely worth the price 😂
nitro gears and a sick tune
Great stuff, be even better if we could have these in Australie for our Toyota Hilux.
Imagine when they get their hands on the next gen! The front cab mounts are relocated for clearance from factory with 33s stock!
Sick!!
This or a 4 runner would be my dream!!!
Unfortunately we can’t get these in the UK.
A lot of beef on that Taco boys…. The truck looks splendid.
I have a Taco TRD pro and I want to get that exact package done….
Dude ya'all wildin' out there with that stuff lmao!
May as well put some Ubolt flip kits ✌🏽
ALL YOU NEED IS A SNORKEL AND THE BUILD IS COMPLETE!
😳 Unbelievable 🔥🔥🔥
Need these portals on my 2016 tacoma
Just like Mr. beast but Mr. Tacoma Beast lmao. Nice portals my dude 🤙🏻
So Sick!
So cool
That is SICK! Awesome video!
Thanks!!
That is a sick setup!!! Are those KMC RIMS? Impact forged? Do they come in black? Soooooo sick!!!!!!!!!
PORTALS!! I would love to get a set for my 2010 Tundra but that price tag is 😮💨
Has to be portals 👍🏼
LOL, I want These on my Duramax 2500 ZR2. Stock fits 37's......not sure what would be the limit with these! I have the same RSI SmartCap and everything Blacked out. Would look like your Trucks big brother.
Wicked!
Time for a big axle shaft upgrade. Those 39's are hungry.
I see my boi using the osha approved safety squint, I get the excitement but safety third.
In 20 years of building I’ve had to get metal removed from my eye twice. Both times I was wearing safety glasses when it happened. 🤷♂️
I think it is odd everyone wants everything to be at zero cost. When you have the developer/owner of the product always in the shop doubling as a worker it is clear they are not getting rich off these. Living well, maybe. As a multiple theater Combat Veteran I simply see these as an exceptional option! Greater capability comes with an associated cost. It may take me 6 months but I am getting a pair as this truck has a 20-25 year motor in it so I see this as an inexpensive upgrade when you now have a drive train that now can last as long as your engine. Congrats Mateo on your new build addition!
Weld 74 thank you for bringing this level of engineering excellence to everyday enthusiast with a passion for exploring🙌🏾. The average vehicle wrap cost 4-6.5k so please never let anyone convince you all the price is too high. Again in six months my order will be in and please try to keep it at 20k😂😅🙌🏾.
Thank you Sr!
Make sure to reach out to when you are ready, we absolutely give veteran discounts. Show us a copy of your DD214 and we will knock more than a few bucks off. Thank you for your service
For $20K it better look insane ! I wish I have that amount ..
идеальный вариант круто😊
Nice video. How has the bynd4x4 cap held up so far ? Any leaks or weld issues ?
Nice build but, who else can realistically do that in today's economy lol
Need option for STOPTECH BBK as well
Crazy it’s still factory style single shear outer tie rod attachment. I know it’s a weak point to keep the rack from getting wrecked (easier to change the rods then a whole new rack) but on such a cool billet piece you think they’d add a double shear heim outer especially with 39’s 😮
74Weld makes a double shear kit for this. They recently posted about it on their UA-cam channel.
@@JoeRocca-zf2el awesome! Didn’t see that, thank you.
If your interested in learning more about the double sheer your going to want to check this video - ua-cam.com/video/f0BwsEPqOH0/v-deo.htmlsi=7z6UtjHB2thtMIgE
That’s the weirdest place I’ve EVER seen a caliper mounted. That don’t look right. Those portals a extremely cool and look incredible.
Gravel catchers.
Imagine having to change the oil not only on your engine but on all four side of the truck every 3k miles 😂
😂
Well did not know that was thing for tacomas. No doubt is a high tech piece of equipment for hard core rock crawlers. Or Welty pavement princes.
If you rubbing aired down you don’t fit. Bfg run small and you should remove the coilovers and cycle to suspension with the wheel mounted to get full uptravel…cut until you don’t hit. Only way to fit big tires even with portals. They def are super sick. Wish they made them for the 3GT4R.
By chance What rmp are you at at 70 mph on freeway with 39s, 5.29s, and portals? Do you think the 5.29s are good or 4.88 gears would be better wity 39s and portals?
wish I can have your old parts
Mom!!!! You need these in your taco!
Do you know who installs cab mount relocation kits for Tundras?
200 series kit please!
FOR ALL THAT LOOK IT NEEDS TO NOT HAVE A V6. I hope they make one for a 4th gen 4runner . V8.
Remember when portals hit the sxs market? They were the biggest rave for about 2 or 3 years. Between the quickley wearing moving parts, oil leaks, frequant oil changes, shitty handeling and at the end of this 20k + upgrade your still left with limited travel. For 20k your better off going solid axle with super 60's. And probabley cheaper. If i had 20k to burn im calling Martek and getting there SAS kit for the 3rd gen tacoma.
That tiny rear caliper and pad surface only contacting half the rotors surface is almost as concerning as watching him cut sheet metal with a thin disc and no safety glasses...
H1 equipment for the taco
What if you break an axle on the trail would you have to cut it as well? Looks cool but seems like a hassle
Take your spair axle and just cut it ahead of time
I love how he cuts without safety glasses 👌👌 I’m a fabricator and I grind all the time without mine on. 😂😂 great video though guys that’s badass
Same, I hate my eyes too!
Yea one errant piece of metal and you’re blind.love people who gamble.
Now get them to make one for my dodge ram 1500 classic!
Did they place the rear rotor on the wrong side or do those rotors suck air from the outside in or from the inside out
Badass
that's fucking sweet! I'd love to run 39s on my Tundra!!
The rear axle housing flange that bolts to the portal does not look strong enough…. Need to beef that up. Asking a lot out of that stock axle housing.
Very cool product and build though!!!
When does that camo Tacomabeast decal come out 😍
Coming soon!
cool channel
Looks great just sitting there in the parking lot but how does it work under full compression in the real world, BTW, rubbing is not good.
We’ve got two videos of us running this on some trails you can check out🤙
Why no rear shock relocate?
Is he running Dirt King LT or just oem travel with Dirt King UCA and LCA?
Have they been able to get or see any specs to know if the tacoma portals will work with the incoming 4th gen?
The new 4th gen is totally different. We have had a chance to look at it and have one coming. We will be developing for them starting in early 2024
Question: I’m going to get a Tacoma this year. I live in Albuquerque. After driving some sweet tacos, Would you rather have tactical application vehicles do a 2 or 3 stage setup or do portals. (TAV is in my hometown).
Haven’t tested the TAV setups so I wouldn’t be able to give you a good comparison. All I can tell you is portals are pretty serious if you’re planning on wheeling your taco a lot. Otherwise you can go with a regular lift that’s a bit less expensive 🤙
I’m waiting 😂
😂😂😂
Man I need help with mine
did you film this before we met in Virginia at the overland expo?
Yep 🤙
Where are next do you need a Canadian. MC Ranch Overland Inc 😎👍
Larger rotation and more weight, not convinced yet!
so nice brother but too expensive
So...why don't these companies have a way to fully droop the chassis to determine contact without trial/error? Wouldn't pulling the coil spring off and reconnecting just the thru damper on the front be an easy way to test all your clearance issues?
