- Fellow Patriots & Freedom lovers, I was peacefully exercising my 1st Amendment Rights at the Shelby County Office Building In Memphis Tennessee. As soon as I walked in the building I was confronted by a Security Guard who tried to immediately remove me from the building because it was “closed” This was only half true as it was open for certain business. The lobby was indeed open to the public but instead of listening to reason, security decided to call Shelby County Sheriff’s Office for a “Disturbance” When the Sheriffs arrived they tried their best to remove me but it didn’t end the way they wanted…Please be sure to hit the like button and share! it truly helps spread this around for more Patriots to see it and I appreciate it!

I am a former police officer. When I was on the job I would see officers absolutely lose their minds whenever a civilian was filming them with a camera. I always told other officers to just relax, be polite and be professional but for some weird reason they just often couldn’t seem to do it.

Im a security guard. We are addressed as "officer" but some guards think that gives them more authority than they really have. We even have handbooks stating what authority we do have which is Observe and Report, that's all. We cannot detain, arrest or overstep the real Police Officers.

If at any time any law enforcement officer refuses to provide their badge number and name they should be suspended without pay, if they make this a routine they should be terminated. The public cannot hold them accountable if we don't know their name.

Interesting how the one deputy didn't want to give his name until his daddy told him to give it to you. it isn't difficult to verbalize a last name and badge number. I also find it concerning how quickly the sergeant was annoyed with you asking questions. Another prime example of them thinking they are better than citizens.

If the buildings closed then why is there all these important security guards everywhere? If it was a holiday and you were at the mall and one business decided to stay open then the mall is open and you have access to the mall. Now we have a public building that is owned by the public and there is someone in there on a holiday open and there’s plenty of security there to make sure that the hallways in the building is safe, which indicates that they’re open unless you don’t know what you doing.

It is as simple as simple can be...it was a public building, that is paid for by the public, it was open to the public (at least three main entrances) even though it is a federal holiday (by their choice)...and they CANNOT just randomly decide who can and cannot enter the building that is OPEN to the public OR who can be inside the building. To do so to someone just because he/she is recording IS a clear violation of a person's 1st Amendment right inside obviously public buildings. Then there are the arrogant, childish police officers/deputies who won't ID themselves but they'll stand there and demand ID from Sean or anyone else WITHOUT any reasonable articulable suspicion of a crime having been or about to be committed...unbelievable, unprofessional and NOT "Serving", ie them NOT following what is written right on their patrol vehicles, "To Protect And Serve". Yeah, right. Keep plugging away Sean, the going may be slow but each audit you do and share publicly is at least one step or baby step toward educating and holding accountable OUR public servant employees.

I gotta say, as a full-time paid civil servant, and someone who used to hate when people do this kind of stuff, you single handedly completely changed my thoughts and views on this. In years past, I would not agree with you hiding behind a camera and going around bothering people who are just trying to do their job, but no matter how much i try to hate you, I can’t help but recognize that, in this day and age, you really are providing an incredibly valuable service to the American public. And you are absolutely right in doing it. You are literally helping public service members recognize when they are trampling on peoples rights. It’s 2022, they should be trained that this is still fucking America and you can film what you can see in public, it’s not a difficult concept to grasp. It’s supposed to be a free country, and that freedom is being chipped away at every damn day. You are helping keep the tyranny at bay.
