I think Simpson was responding to unsolvable puzzle of "why would I ..." tucked in the absurd rhetoric the defendant was proposing as self-defense... it has an Iago line of reasoning from Othello.
My take on it was that the judge felt he was getting a Shakespeare-style soliloquy from the defendant, which he did reference later.

I speak fluent crackhead, let me translate: he is simultaneously in the middle of this case, and an ongoing one in an adjacent county. He believes one of the officers involved in that case, (which has been punted to Internal Affairs,) has been reassigned to the testing centre. He BeLiEvEs that once said officer noticed that he tests at that location, the officer began tampering with his samples, (to get a revocation, tarnish his reputation amongst the Courts- leading to him being found to be non-credible witness and/or defendant, having new charges levied against him, etc.) While literally every-single-day in this country, officers set up genuinely innocent persons, this…well, this does ✨not✨ seem to be the case here. Oh, and fUn FaCt- I’m a surgeon, and on more than one occasion, I’ve had to testify re: “a medical cocaine card.” Cocaine is a CII drug, which we do in fact use- for obvious reasons, it is typically only used in-clinic or the OR. No one is going to CVS to get their monthly allotment of Cocaine HCl.

What so many defendants don’t understand is it’s really important not to blow off responsibilities, because inevitably something will happen that’s outside of your control that’ll cause you to miss a responsibility. You don’t want to have already burned that bridge when that day eventually happens.

@ellendickey4769 Which is dumb because the PD isn't using those cheap, weak over-the-counter home drug tests. It doesn't really do the job to pre-test for a professional lab test with something that much less sensitive and accurate.
And even stupider because if you actually see a NEED to do that, you're already nailed. What are you going to do if you whiz dirty in the home test three hours before your appointment? You're not going to clear your urine in that short a time even if you chug vinegar and cranberry juice.

If she comes back and misses any tests, she can be remanded until her case is settled and she’s sentenced. Also, unless I missed it, did you hear what her charges were..? Or how much if anything she had to pay to be out on bond while fighting her case..? Or do you just believe because she’s a defendant in criminal court that she automatically deserves to be in jail because the last test she missed, that she did make up, was due to her grandfathers passing? She isn't let off. She just didn't have her bond revoked -- this time. She's going to be back for a probable cause hearing in 2 weeks. And, if she misses one more test, she'll definitely be remanded.
Home drug tests are limited regarding the concentration levels they can detect.
So many people seem to think judges haven’t heard the same speech a thousand times a week and they can talk their way out of it. You’d have to be a damn smart lawyer just for starters to even try to outwit a judge who has been on bench for over 25 years

I ALWAYS test positive for benzos. I don't take benzos. I've had my test sent to the manufacturer and the manufacturer said I didn't use benzos that what was showing positive in the test isn't "WHAT THEY WERE LOOKING FOR". This has been happening since January 2021---I've tested positive dozens of time but it is with something they weren't looking for.
So what were they a actually looking for?
Zoloft and other meds can make you test positive for benzos
