The defense lawyer is wrong - the judge does not have to take into account the presumption of innocence as regards bond.

Out on a capital offense, then gets picked up and wants a bond reduction? Good Job Judge Simpson! No way should the bond of been lowered.
That young guy that assaulted someone at a hospital should not get misdemeanor plea for that.
First thing I said, it's serious enough to request a bail of $250,000 originally but have his 5 grand bail upgraded for the violation if he Doesn't plead guilty and accept the sweetheart deal of dropping the felony and take two minor misdemeanor charges with $200 restitution. And it was his Son and girlfriend he did that to!!! Why victims are scared to press charges when criminals rarely get punished.

I just saw Shemke in an interrogation. He was the council sitting in with his client. She was working for a plea deal in connection to a murder. She got off pretty light considering she lured the man to the location to be robbed. She indicated she had no idea her co-conspirator was going to shoot him. I have major doubts of that. Im sure the detectives did as well, but they got a great witness out of it.

Visit a different store! I can’t believe that’s his excuse. Ever more astounded that he thinks there’s no problem because that’s his preferred store 😂

And a lot of what we see is edited to streamline viewing so we get to see the bits where something actually happens vs watching a video with 3 hours of activity peppered with 5 additional hours of what is essential to the process but is about as slow and trodding as watching paint dry. Channels like this are a boon to us, for sure ☺️

The 19yr old defendant needs mandatory parenting classes, anger management, and a reality check. If he is convicted or agrees to a plea deal then he should do some sort of time, or intensive treatment, therapy if incarcerated or not incarcerated along with educational classes, job skills and other services. He has time to do the right thing, turn his life around for his child’s sake.
Too bad he wasn’t in Judge Boyd’s courtroom. She would’ve ordered all that and then ask “Is there anything you need from the court to be successful?”. I like her approach to sentences. I wonder if she sees a lower recidivism rate than others in her area.

13:30 Here is a gentleman who is absolutely a jailhouse lawyer, but at least has some basic idea of what he's asking for, and what he's asking for is legitimate just pending other things in train with the court. He's respectful, the court understands and is respectful of his requests even thought it is denying them, he appears to understand the courts ruling (obviously there is an evaluation in progress that may address that), has obviously consulted with his attorney who has advised and then allowed him to make his request to the court. This is how our courts should act. I feel he gonna get justice and nothing but, whatever that looks like in his circumstances and as adjudicated under the law.
Last case where defendant violated his GPS tether and Prosecutor doesn't want to release him unless it's with a higher bail than the current @ 5 grand because originally she requested $250,000 because of the serious charges. Child hospitalized from intentional harm CPS involved,choked the mother, took phone and threw in sewer. Made statement's about assault all at hospital. She's so worried 🥺 then why offer him to plead guilty to two misdemeanors drop the felony charge and pay $200+ restitution? ITS SERIOUS ENOUGH TO WARRANT REQUESTING A 250 GRAND BAIL BUT NOT SERIOUS ENOUGH TO FULLY PROSECUTE WITHOUT OFFERING A SWEETHEART DEAL??? OUR JUSTICE ⚖️ SYSTEM IS RIDICULOUS WHEN VICTIM'S AND COMMUNITIES AREN'T PROTECTED AGAINST CRIMINALS WILLING TO HURT WOMEN AND CHILDREN, I THINK IT SHOWS HOW DANGEROUS CONSIDERING ITS HIS OWN FAMILY!
