    UPLOADS EVERY 2 DAYS :)
    July 5th, 2016 -- Following the events that took in the morning (Opa-Locka, on previous video), my father and I decided to to attempt the Intracoastal Waterway in the afternoon!
    Upon arrival, we knew immediately that our chances of catching big fish were doomed. The tide was outgoing and the area was super shallow, with 4 feet being the deepest portion of that area! Instead of giving up, we adapted: we decided to turn our session into a Micro-Fishing session. :)
    As you can see in the video, the decision paid off: we finished the day with 10+ different Species of fish from the Intracoastal Waterway, including my Species number #135 and #136 -- the Schoolmaster Snapper and Silver Jenny, respectively.
    Coming up in two days: a Multi-Species challenge for you guys to have some fun! How many Species of fish can you catch in one day; in one fishing session?! Stayed tuned and you will find out how many I CAN CATCH in one day! :)

    I went catfishing recently and I used hotdogs instead of the traditional baits (stink baits, chicken liver etc.). I found that the hot dogs actually outperformed the other baits. It was particularly effective on Channel catfish (Ictalurus punctatus).

    • @extremephillyfishing
      @extremephillyfishing  7 років тому

      That is great, fishing with passion. I have used Hot Dogs for Catfish as well! They do work awesomely! Next time you should try ivory soap -- another weird item that works too well. :) Tight lines and thanks for watching!

    Leo, quick question.. I have a few of those diawa blue combos you have, what pound braid do you use on them? or do you change the reel out when you use the rod.

    • @extremephillyfishing
      @extremephillyfishing  7 років тому

      I used to use the Daiwa Samurai combos in the past, Snapper. Still used them sometimes nowadays. For the price of the reel, they are amazing! But they tend to break fast when you start catching bigger fish on them. I tend to go 4-12lbs test line on them, maximum. :) Tight lines and thanks for watching!

    What's up Leo!!!! I've got 4 treatments left if all is well and then my ass is back on the water!!!! I live in East Tennessee in Oak Ridge TN 15 minutes outside Knoxville Tn. There is some of the best fishing this side of the Mississippi no further than 5MIN.-3HRS in all directions. TROUT, BLUEGILL,CRAPPIE,
    SMALLMOUTH AND LARGE, SAUGER, WALLEYE, ....Well you get the picture! 😃Maybe when I'm done I'll contact you and become a patron and you can shoot down and we can tear the East Tennessee waterways up! Also since you catch and release like me , we can go to private ponds where the water use to not be clean, but now is CLEAN and all fish are HUGE! SAFE to touch and handle just can't eat ,just to be safe. I mean 1-3 lb. Bluegill's and Shellcrackers . Tight lines and Have a blessed day!

      If you get a similar snapper with an Isosceles triangle pointing directly upwards to the eye, know that you have a dog snapper (Lutjanus jocu), just an easy identification tip that many people forget to mention.

    I think that 'lane' snapper may actually be a mahogany snapper. They are extremely hard to tell apart, so I am not completely sure...

    • @extremephillyfishing
      @extremephillyfishing  8 років тому +1

      I appreciate the input, TheMasterCasters. I can tell you right away that there are a lot of photos on the Internet that are wrong when it comes to their identification of Mahogany Snapper (_Lutjanus mahogany_) and Lane Snapper (_Lutjanus synagrys_). I will get on my identification books and see what are the main differences between them; however, I am almost positive that the snapper in the video were Lane Snapper -- mainly due to the compression length of their bodies. Tight lines and thanks for watching!

      Oh cool thanks I've been interested by mahogany snapper. To tell the truth, I didn't even know they existed until 2 days ago lol.

    Aye leo can i get some help on saltwater fishin? I went to ormand beach to fish and didnt catch anything ( Btw i was fishin from the beach ) I was using Pieces of shrimp with a split shot rig. Got any tips? I've never caught a saltwater fish before .

    • @extremephillyfishing
      @extremephillyfishing  8 років тому

      If you were fishing from the surf, then it is a whole different story, Fish_ Slaying. Depending on the waves and stuff, you just need to make sure that your rig gets a hold there. Then, you should be good to catch some fish! Tight lines and thanks for watching!

Nowadays, as you can see, I review everything via UA-cam (Fan Mail Unboxing vids) and I even send letters back. Thanks for sending me stuff, regardless! Tight lines and thanks for watching!

    do the fish you catch have a different name in Chinese Mandarin or does your father call the fish by their English name because you always say the fishes name in English

    • @extremephillyfishing
      @extremephillyfishing  7 років тому

      We usually do a literal translation of the fish's name from English to Chinese. Hah. It is not the correct name in the language, though. I can assure you of that. I.e. We call the Largemouth Bass (_Micropterus salmoides_) in chinese mandarin literally "Big Mouth," which is entirely wrong, but it works for us! Tight lines and thanks for watching!
