My son and I caught a mess of snook there from the bridge one day. We were using shrimp and catching nothing when a local guide showed up in a boat with his customers and started pulling snook left and right. This guy noticed we were using shrimp and told us we wouldn't catch much with shrimp. This dude was soo cool, he would throw us pilchards up on the bridge and we started catching a ton of snook. He made our week!
Me and a friend pulled in 20+ snook at this exact spot one evening. Dusk. Tide was much higher at the time but none the less. The craziest fishing experience i have ever had.
I am right across the sound from that spot and I keep meaning to bring my boat in that pass to fish . maybe this will give me the motivation to finally check it out
Maybe it was too cold for the locals? Wow, I have never seen that spot so empty. Outgoing tide too. I've gone up there in the middle of the week when I thought no one would be there and it was still packed.
Awesome stuff Brant! I can’t wait to see what the rest of the trip brings! Such a shame CMR couldn’t make it, but I’m sure you’ll catch a fish or two for him. Keep up the great work. Peace and love from the UK
Dude this is one badass video man iwish iwas closer to go try it out! Do you recommend any spots around orlando or titusville man? I'm trynna go fishing this weekend
Hey Brant, you ever fish Beach Bum style out off the beach across the bridge? I love fishing the pass, but there are often good fish out in the gulf too, and a lot less people fishing.
Local swfl angler here and my issue with blind pass is there are way too many small snook you have to weed through to catch the big ones. Last time I was there I caught a 35" snook on a mojarra but before that I had to weed through 3 tiny snook.... Since all I really fish for are snook and reds I barely go there anymore because I am chasing that 40"+ snook. I've caught the 40" red but when it comes to snook 37" is my biggest thus far.
Brant I’ve come to Florida to go fishing with my youngest son and would love to take to this beach you’re fishing in the video. Will appreciate if you can share the location. Thank you for all your great videos
Awesome South Florida trip you‘ve got goin there Brant! I’ve been on the Redfish and big ol Flounder bite here in deep South Texas. Can’t wait to see what you boys catch next!
It is the best spot. I caught 34" seatrout there. Same day, 3 hrs, 5 sheepshead, 3 macks, 18" flounder, 2 snook, 3 snapper, and a small red. Incredible.
Hey Brant, 50lb leader is way Overkill for the stretch of water you were fishing, 30lb would have been more than enough (I would have used 20lb) you might increase your hook up ratio on those Snook.. they have amazing eye sight, great video
What kind of person is the one who posts a video mentioning a wonderful fishing spot and is not able to share it! And worst of all, many follow this same position. That's not nice.
Hey brant I really love you're videos man I'm going this week to Florida with the family and my twin boys never Caught a fish I would really appreciate if you can tell me where is this spot at so I can take my twin boys with me to go catch a fish👍🏻

You gotta try Doc Fords rum bar. Get their Yucatán shrimp! It’s absolutely amazing
Can’t even count how many times I’ve fished there , awesome place, used to catch pounds of shrimp there also at night from the bridge ( old bridge)

Looks like Blind Pass at Sanibel and Captiva. Not sure if it’s worth a crap after the hurricane.
Still good!
Brant go the heavenly biscuit and face time Ron while your eating the biscuit. I believe Ron will catch the first plane out 😆.

I used to live in sw Florida and fish that pass. My favorite was top water with a Zara spook, the big snook and reds like them.
What rod is that spinning in the beginning because ive been looking for a new spinning rod pls.
Where is this bridge? I’m making a trip to south fl next month and would like to give it a try.
Summertime everyone is on the bridge...the pass is difficult to fish at that time if fishing from shore.
The bait on that beach is about a quarter mile to the left of where you were fishing

There is a lot of snook there but most are like 20 inches. Rarely will you catch anything that is size limit or larger.
