03/22 -- As you guys know, I don't just advertise anything here. If it made to the Extreme Philly Fishing UA-cam Channel, you bet it is a product that I trust! In this video, I field tested the "Mummy Worms" by EuroTackle! It was a quantity over quality day; however, by no means it was bad. I finished my session with 52 fishes, including the following Species of fish: Bluegill, Black Crappie, and Largemouth Bass. Overall, I would say that the Mummy Worm works awesomely for my Multi-Species fishing, and I will be switching from Trout Magnets to these versatile Mummy Worms from now on! Highly recommended.
Next video coming up in two days: Spring Micro-Fishing at the Tookany Creek! :)

This has quickly become my favorite youtube channel! Keep it up I love it!
Ah yes, natural bait that you can fish in the "Summer time ! " Ya just can't beat these baits. There are different co.s that offer preserved baits. Euro tackle preserved baits do work well ! Anytime of the year. Fish will go for natural bait . Easy to carry, low cost, work great, whats not ta like ? Again , an older video ......but a great video . Leo is always teaching different ways to catch fish. No one lure or bait works " all the time " so you get too learn abought different lures /baits that do work. My fav UA-camr . Never so Full of him self , like some others. Thank you Leo , Tom Daytona Beach, FL. 20, June 2020
As a bonus...if are reading this comment and you have purchased some Mummy Worms from EuroTackle to try it out, send me the dated receipt of your purchase via e mail to gain access to my smugmug fish photo database (extremephillyfishing.smugmug.com) until the end of the month! if you e mail me your receipt, I will send you back the passwords for the folders there. Tight lines, FISH on, and enjoy the mummified worms!

Those look really good, I might pick some up eventually. Great video Leo 😁
+Danny Squirrel Definitely recommended, Danny! You should try it out for some Multi-Species fishing. Thanks for watching! Tight lines!
You have great videos. I learn a lot from your videos.
Those Mummy Worms work great! I recently bought a few containers of them, and caught 25-30 bluegill on one worm!
+Fishing USA That is awesome, Fishing USA! I am glad that the Mummy Worms have worked well for you. Hah. Tight lines and thanks for watching!
I really enjoy watching and I may try this bait you use today on your video. Thank you
Enjoyed the video Leo! Great work man.
+HuntingSouthAfrica_ Thanks for stopping by, Kyle! Hope everything is well with you in South Africa. Tight lines and fish on!
+Extreme Philly Fishing Thanks Leo, same to you! Just wanted to know which video editing software you use? Windows Movie Maker does not recognize GoPro's MP4 video format, which kinda sucks
HuntingSouthAfrica_ I think I answered that question of yours in another comment; though, I am not sure now. Hah. I use Pinnacle Studio 19. But most folks out there just use the GoPro Studio. Tight lines!
Feesh own! Feesh own! Lmao
+Clayton Lopez FEESH OWNNNNN! Tight lines, Clayton! :)
Hello Philly ,... I'm from Kentucky and we love to fish . Great Video
You sure do like to try new baits, and lures, especially if they are pink. Great video, and the largemouth at the end was very nice colors have a good day, tight lines!
+AmericanFishDude Definitely, AmericanFishDude. Hahaha. I love pink stuff! Thanks for watching and tight lines to you as well!
Nice video, may have to pick up some of those to put in my tackle bag
+Yakin'SC Thanks for watching, Yakin'SC. Mummy Worms are definitely awesome. Tight lines and fish on!
I'm primarily a bass angler but those are a very cool concept
+Brendan Kelly Thank you very much. Being a Multi-Species angler is not bad at all! It means to still catch Bass (_Micropterus spp._), but also target everything else that is out there -- from small to big. Heh. Thanks for stopping by. Tight lines!
Thank you for your time.
Great multi species fishing
+Hopsky's Lounge Thanks for watching, Hopsky's Lounge! Always glad to see you around. Tight lines!
SPRING IS COMING IN SOUTHER WYOMING!! CANT WAUT FOR TROUT!!
+Christian Gaytan That is awesome, Christian! Hope you land some Trout soon enough! Tight lines!
Those mummified we worms seems like they work well.
The tip you mentioned about the heat and worms is a good one. I didn't even think about that.
*wax worms
+The Fishing Experiment I definitely recommend Eurotackle's Mummy Worms. This year was my first year trying them out and I love them. I am changing my whole Trout magnet repertoire to Mummy Worms. Lol. Tight lines, The Fishing Experiment!
Great Video! Might have to try some of them myself.
+Bullseye Thanks for watching, Bullseye! I definitely recommend some Mummy Worms. They are amazing for Multi-Species fishing. Tight lines!

They do work exceptionally well. I hope you catch lots of Species on it!
are you providing any action when you use the wax worms or nightcrawler on jighead h goodwin
amazing video
+Brendan Kelly Thanks for watching, Brendan! Tight lines and fish on!
I'm going to try these worms out. Thanks for the information .
Leo, the EuroTackle website advises keeping these cold for extra long conservation. How are you storing yours and what's your experience with how long they last? Great video. I really want to try these.
+Adam King That is correct, Adam. They last about 6 months in room temperature and up to two years in the fridge. Since I use a container in less than 2 weeks, it is not a problem for me to just keep it on a table. However, if you are planning on stocking up, I would recommend putting them in the fridge. Highly recommended -- you should try them out. Tight lines, Adam!
great day out!! trout season coming up.....
+Flytrap Man Thanks for watching, FlyTrap Man! And yes -- Trout season has been great so far! Expect Trout videos on the Channel soon. Tight lines!
Seems like a cool bait. I'd love to try it
+PShep Fishing10 You definitely should, PShep! Highly recommended up. They will work for a variety of Species, so it is a crucial bait for Multi-Species fishing. Hah. Tight lines!
+Extreme Philly Fishing you should come fish in Rhode Island are so many species even though we are the smallest state would be really cool if you did. I like all the videos you've done and hope your channel becomes successful, thanks!
+Jump Man Thank you very much for the suggestion, Jump Man! Also, I appreciate your words of support. :) If the Channel keeps growing, I will definitely stop by Rhode Island one of these days. Tight lines from Philadelphia!
Hello Leo, love your videos! Here's an intesting fact I came across today while reading the local fishing regulations: The use of colored maggots and such are actually prohibited in Belgium because they contain pigments that can be harmful to fish and angler. The more you know! Keep up the nice videos ^^
+Count Summon That is very interesting, Count Summon! Do you actually have a hyperlink to a credited research article or government agency that states that? I am asking that because the owner of the EuroTackle company is actually from Belgium. I have spoken to him about this and he is also not aware of a fishing regulation like that.
Regardless, I know for a fact that the coloring process of the Mummy Worms is 100% natural, not to mention that the company has all the American permits necessary to do so. In other words, I can't vouch for how or what other people use in their colored maggots; however, Mummy Worms are produced with components that are not harmful to any living organism (unless they ingest it. LOL). Thanks for watching and following the Channel! Tight lines and fish on!
+Extreme Philly Fishing I didn't really look into it too much, I just read it in the brochure you get with your fishing license which is from the Belgian Nature and Forest Agency, an official national agency. I did however do some research about it and apparently this is because all colored maggots available here were colored with Sudan Red IV, a pigment that barely desintegrates in water, is toxic and carcinogenic.
Because it is impossible to see the difference between toxic maggots and non-toxic ones from the waterside during a police check and as some other colored maggots are possibly dangerous as well, a total ban has been brought in place. It is apparently impossible to permanently color living organisms (like maggots) with biodegradable products.
That being said, these wax worms are mummified and therefore dead, making it possible to color them with substances that own an E number. Therefore, it is very plausible that these wax worms are not unhealthy to the fish and/or environment. As far as I can tell, the biggest issue would be the use of live colored bait so these things should technically be allowed here. Don't know if they would fall under the "impossible to check" part though. Anyway, fish on without a worry, these things should be fine! :)
Count Summon Wow! I appreciate the very detailed response, Count Summon. I definitely see your point there and I agree with it -- under those circumstances, I understand why the Belgian Nature and Forest Agency is doing this. Thank you very much for being so thorough! I truly appreciate it. Wonderful information. Tight lines and fish on!
+Extreme Philly Fishing Not a problem, thanks for giving it a read!
After watching nearly all of your Videos I've wanted to get into multi-species fishing. It seems like it would be a lot of fun to just build up a massive list of all of the fish you've ever caught.
This is my list so far: (off the top of my head)
- Whiting
- Some kind of Wrasse/Trumpeter?
- Herring
- Tarwhine
- Bream
- Flathead
- Slimy Mackerel
- Pink snapper
- Blowies
- Gobble guts
- Tailor
- Port Jackson Shark
- Skippy
- Silver Moony
- Eagle Ray
- Garfish
- Fiddler ray
- Rockcod
- Western-striped Cardinalfish
Bare in mind that I live in Australia, so a lot of these fish probably have the same names as fish over in America. I know that the fish that you call a 'Garfish' is not the same as ours, and the fish you call a 'Bream' is not the same as ours.
+Retz That is a good list for starters, Retz! To make your life list even better, I would recommend photos and scientific names, so people don't misinterpret the fishes in Australia for the ones in America. :) Tight lines and fish on!
We have the same pic
Ogmasterdarwin Get out, I was the original.
Awesome vid as always. Can't wait tell it warms up a little bit so I can fish panfish
+Tyler Suarez Thanks for watching, Tyler! Hopefully you will be catching some Panfish soon enough. :) Tight lines and fish on!
Awsome vid
+Vadim Must Thanks for watching, Vadim! Tight lines!
Mumafid for the win great video
These things are great, I've noticed t hat sometimes they dry out though.
The new ones have a life shelf of about 2 years!!! Though, depending on how they are stored, they do dry out in the long term (after months).
I was playing lacrosse at the field next to the pond. Come back to Haddonfield
+Greg Connelly Awesome. Haddonfield is a great place to go fishing at. I will definitely be back later this year. Tight lines, Greg!
You gotta go carp fishing in Hopkins.
Greg Connelly How well have you done with the Carp at Hopkins, Greg? Anything unusual out of there? Tight lines!
Hey Leo, watch all your vids. Help a brother out. I've been trying to fish Skippack Creek around evansburg Park, and up by green lane but can't seem to even get a bite on night crawler. Any quick tips for me?
+DirkStarlight Thanks for watching and following the Channel, Dirk! I am not really familiar with the Skippack Creek; however, I would recommend you to free-fall your nightcrawler on a small hook for better results. If you are not familiar with free-falling, I recommend you to watch this video: ua-cam.com/video/zsuaKgDMTqI/v-deo.html Tight lines!
Leo do they sell those wax worms in stores? And do they last weeks or days?
+Tim Fife For now, they are only available online at www.eurotackle.net/#!themummyworm/chxg. Hopefully local PA and NJ tackle shops will carry them soon! The word is spreading fast on the Mummy Worms. Hah. As for their resilience -- they last about 6 months in an open environment and up to 2 years in the refrigerator, Tim. Tight lines!
Awesome video! :D
Thank you very much, Fieryfirefox! I am glad that you enjoyed it. Tight lines and thanks for watching!
Extreme Philly Fishing
No problem! Keep up the great videos!
I live in haddonfield! If you ever come here again try penny packer park! Great spot for bluegill and bass
Thank you very much for the suggestion, erysz89. I will keep that in mind. :) Tight lines and thanks for watching!
Dude Nice VideoI Cant Wait To Catch Some Large Mouth Bass For 2016 !!!!
+Simpsorama50 Thanks for watching, Simpsorama50! Hope you catch some Largemouth Bass (_Micropterus salmoides_) soon enough! Tight lines!
What was your ultra light set up? Looked really nice and might want to pick one up.
+Adrian Escobar I give you an overview of my Ultralight setup at 4:30. Summarizing -- A Daiwa Spinmatic with a Shimano Sedona 500FD, 4lbs Berkley Vanish Fluorocarbon line, Comal Tackle weighted float and a 1/64 oz. Trout Magnet jighead. Tight lines, Adrian!
+Extreme Philly Fishing Wow! I don't know how I missed that. I watched it at work so maybe my boss walked by lol. Sorry about that but appreciate your patience and response despite my ineptness. Tight lines!
I have caught two crappies at Summit Lake
+Jack Freese That is awesome, Jack! Congratulations on your catches! Tight lines and fish on!
I agree with you Leo they wouldn't put it out on the market if they didn't work
Nice video man. U should try a white bass fishing. They r very fun to catch!
+Panzerphobia Guy I will be fishing for some White Bass (_Morone chrysops_) next week in TN with 1Rod1ReelFishing and Chatt Cats Fishing! Stay tuned for future videos here, Panzerphobia. Hah. Tight lines!
We have great white bass runs and sauger runs on the Ohio River. There's a huge white bass run up near Erie but it's shoulder to shoulder and just as dirty. I will keep five during the walleye run up there and we've been starting to catch 'eye's on the Ohio at night on suspending Rapalas in clown and silver. You will catch tons of hybrids below the dams and even strippers from 50 degrees up to 70. Except for true cold water species you can catch anything in the tailraces below a dam on the Ohio. I do love stripper fishing below a few dams in TN. It's worth the drive to pull great size fish out that fight hard even against that killer current. Tennessee has bigger fish due to tougher laws, limits and pouring money and fish into their waters. It seemed crazy at first but paid off in the long run.
can you make a video and show us your tank
and the next day i go to that pond and barely catch anything LOL the pro leo
+Aaron's Fishing Show Hah. It was your first time there! I already knew where and what to hit for. :) Tight lines, Aaron!
Leo do you prefer minnows or bugs for bait
+Sal's Fishing Definitely minnows, Sal's Fishing! But again -- that is just my own preference. For this video, the Mummy Worms are more of a lure that I can carry around with me -- thus, not alive. :) Tight lines!
nice I need to get my hands on some of those worms
+Connor Miller Highly recommended, Connor. I am changing all my Trout magnet repertoire to the EuroTackle's Mummy Worms now. Action is good. Bait is soft and versatile. I love it! Tight lines and fish on!
Amazon
where did you buy the mummy worms?
Lol when he says colors it sounds like collars
What kind of rod are you using?
After you buy all these things-Rods-Reels-Lures-Bobbers-Bait-and earthworms. You like me have enough fishing stuff to start your own fishing store after a few years. I bought the gadget that you put on your rod and it gives your lure more action and guaranteed to catch a fish. Guaranteed? Bullshit! I decided to stick to one plan and save money from buying shit that usually will not deliver or make'em bite. To shorten this up--'''Live Worms is a must' 'Always take worms with you whether the fish is biting or not or even if you don't planning on using them---If that high-tech guaranteed fish in your lap crap don't work----Use your worms. You might catch a Perch or two but at least you're catching something. ''Last Tip''' Go to you're favorite fishing hole '3 days in a row. ''Yep'' 3 times in a row. If they don't bite in day 1 or 2'I bet you will catch something on day 3. An old fisherman told me that and I tell you it does work. ''So I got 13 Rod and Reels combos--2 minnow buckets--bunch of plastics and lures-sinkers- you name it I'll claim it.....So I'm here to tell ya----Worms are the best bait to have with you. Always take worms. Who knows? The big ones might want a little worm today. ALWAYS TAKE EARTHWORMS. ''PEACE''
Does it work if you just let it sit there and not jig it
I always question this but why is it sometimes if one color works but the other does for example if you use the watermelon senko and catch nothing but use a pink senko same brand same size but catch
The color may cause a reaction strike or it may imitate what the fish are feeding on.
you should try these for trout sometime
what rods is he using please answer
nice bluegill
the bass was actually a small mouth bass you can tell by the ember or red colored eyes
Hey Leo, when are we going to know who won the reels.
+Crazy Kansas Fishing I realize that this comment is one week old, but just to give you an update -- winners have already replied on the give-away video and prizes are already shipping! Tight lines and fish on!
Yeah I watched it thanks Leo, and when are you going to put out the videos of the trip with 1rod1reel and the other guy Chad??? Also nice flathead I say it.
Crazy Kansas Fishing I have two videos out already, and the videos will keep coming every two days. Another video coming up today at 4:00 p.m.! Tight lines, Crazy Kansas Fishing!
r u using blue to
where do you get the mumievied worms
I get them at the EuroTackle online store, Nathaniel: www.eurotackle.net. You should get some! They work really well. If you do get them, don't forget to use coupon code _extremephillyfishing_ to save yourself some money! Tight lines and thanks for watching!
Is it plastic or is it like a real wax worm.
+Kongmeng Vang It is a real wax worm that went through the process of mummification (www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#q=mummification). Therefore, it retains the characteristics of a real wax worm, but you can actually save it for multiple trips! *It doesn't rot.* Free falling and jigging it will produce results for sure! Tight lines, Kongmeng Vang!
Collar is something that goes around your neck, Color is the shade of an object
+Tim LeDoux I think I am well aware of those definitions; though, I appreciate it. I would like to remind you that my English speech pattern is far away from perfect because it is my 4th language; thus, I still struggle with it. Tight lines and fish on, Tim!
da turd cooler of da dayy
next bait... mummified sardines
+Joseph Park 😂😂😂😂 ^^^ I guess you never know what is going to come by. Tight lines and thanks for watching, Joseph!
zhe鱼食看来很好用
can they work on salt water fish
No
Damnnnnnn son a 5 min intro lol
All this works depending how big is the lake and how much food there is on the lake......
Those are amazing for ice fishing. My dad's friend used to breed them and we bought wax worms and we killed em crappie
What exactly was wrong with that bass?
+BlakhawkxxPSN Some kind of infection, Blakhawk. Maybe he got injured in the past and the injury got infected. Hopefully it will be okay! Tight lines!
What is the name of the hook you have?
+Marc That would be a 1/64 oz. Trout Magnet jighead. That is the only small jighead that I use at the moment. Tight lines, Marc!
Thanks Man!
Let's do it Leo 1v1 you bait me bare hook lol DM me let's set it up!
how much do these cost?
+darren vough $5.99 for a pack of 35. You can see more info here: www.eurotackle.net/#!themummyworm/chxg As a reminder, send me the receipt of your purchase in case you get some and I will give you free access to my fish photo database until April 5th. Tight lines and fish on, Darren!
nice
at exactly 1738 he lets the bass go LOL
U don't keep bass
+Michael Jorgensen 1738
I keep largemouth all the time. Unless they are above or below the limits set. We set up sot limits and size limits so people WILL take them out of fisheries. Stunting and cross breeding is very common in the sunfish family.
Challenge : How many times does he says ok?
caught a 3 pound crappie on a crank bait
That is awesome, Wesley! Congratulations on your catch. That is a monster Crappie for sure. Tight lines and thanks for watching!
I kinda want to challenge you. You use your worms and I'll use a bare hook and we see who catches more!!
+Robert Ford Oh yeah? Bare hook?! Gotta go dapping on me? LOL. Tight lines, Robert!
+Extreme Philly Fishing in just offering a friendly fun challenge haha!
thanks if you follow me an Instagram o can keep you updated on my fishing nice job today and tight lines to you Leo
Hopkins pond is dead due to street runoff it was removed from being a trout stocked water back around 85
I heard that from a few local anglers. The history of the place is beautiful. Sadly, it is pretty much a dead area nowadays. A few Common Carp (_Cyprinus carpio_) here and there, and tons of Brown Bullhead (_Ameiurus nebulosus_) around. Lol. Thanks for sharing, Wayne. Tight lines and thanks for watching!
You don't use capital letters to spell common names just scientific names. It's common carp and brown bullhead. There are so many common names so they are by no means the names of species and will confuse people. I did good with those wax worms. Here in the winter months they are impossible to obtain unless you are growing your own so they are a great option. Nothing beats fresh, lively waxies, but I was surprised. I use bread balls to free fall with small fights on small tackle and it's a decent replacement also. More common carp caught and chubs, but it's about the fight right? Tight lines.
christopherb27 what the hell is this English 101? take a hike chrisb27 !!!
christopherb27 I am well familiar with that rule, christopherb27. The reason why I give capital letters to certain words in my sentences is because I can find them easier when I look through the lines. Usually a Ctrl+F serves me just right, but just in case. Tight lines and thanks for watching!
Wayne D I'm a biologist who's specialized in game fisheries the last few years. Before and now I work for hatcheries. Yes it needed to be said, not to down anyone but common names change vastly. Even from mile to mile along the same side of a river. It's a bad habit we we're taught to rid due to confusion.
I think it was white crappie you where catching
+Bassin Is Life I just double checked with the video and those were 100% Black Crappie (_Pomoxis nigromaculatus_), Bassin Is Life. Tight lines and fish on!
ok thx
remember me?
Fishooo instead of fishon
^^^^ 😂😂😂😂
at17:21 he said bitch
