09/20 -- I took a day off to teach my nephew how to fish. We went to a local Run off in Feasterville-Trevose for some Micro-Fishing. The run off doesn't have a name and it's not even on google maps (hah). We ended the day with a couple Creek Chub and Green Sunfish.
P.s. he really wanted to learn and be in one of my UA-cam videos. Well -- uncle Leo is very happy and proud of you! Recall, fellas -- always introduce the youth to Mother Nature and the sport of fishing!

I still remember my dad teaching me to fish on the fraser river. I started with the bullheads in the river and eventually brought in a sturgeon on that very river, unfortunately my dad had passed away before that

great video! I started my kids & grandkids fishing very young. your patience with your nephew was great. one thing to remember when introducing the young to fishing is, make sure they catch fish. they get bored quick if the fishing is slow. keep the videos coming.

The fish will make great pets if you train them! Also I caught goldfish and spawning shiners on a size 16 hook and caught 10 on a homemade rod

We used to fish the run off directly across Street rd from McDonald's as kids. I believe it is the begining of the Poquessing creek.

Nice fishing EPF is rare to see a professional fisherman to take a brake from the lakes, and go strait for the creeks. When me and my dad have some off-time we head down to our local creek called "Marcus Hook Creek" there are Chubs, Redbreast Bluegills and, the last time we went there was two weeks ago, recently and surprisingly I have seen some small roaches come into the waters. I'm shocked because they are commonly know in the English creeks, but you never know. Catch a big one
+Ciaran McCloskey How is the Marcus Hook Creek? Is it good? I have been down to Marcus Hook and Chester a few times; however, I haven't been down there recently at all! What is there besides Chubs and Redbreast Sunfish? As for the small roaches, I think you probably saw Golden Shiner swimming around -- it's time for them to be roaming Creeks around the area. Heh. Well if your thinking the creek is like a park or something, its more like, a creek under a small road, and I-95. but is not that bad if its not raining or to much vegetation has grown, for any other spices its manly that although the creek does go back to Aston Vally where i used to play baseball i have not tried it there ill give you an update if i do go there. also since it run into the river im expecting some small cats to be in the mouth of the creek so if i ever get the chance ill definitely tell you about it as well. Catch a big one!

these creek chubs look so small compared to the ones I catch in Milwaukee Wisconsin on the Menomonee River near my grandma's condo they were like 10 inches long!!! PS good muskie northern or pikerel bait too

I just went fishing with my dad today and I caught 3 Catfish, and about 4 Perch, my dad caught about 5 Catfish, In total we caught 12 fish, And I'd tell ya it was hella fun, and we did not keep any fish, we did catch and release.

I bought the magnet kit from Dick's after watching this video and caught absolutely nothing on them. Apparently, Philly fish have different taste than Ohio ones. At least they still eat the Crappie mini tube kit and it is cheaper anyway. Glad that you have a kid that wants to go fishing with you. None of mine are interested. Keep sharing the sport.
I bought the same exact thing and caught one bluegill.
Fishing the Trout Magnet can certainly be tricky, Stephen Stalter! I would recommend paring it up with a 1/64 oz. jighead for jigging (ua-cam.com/video/WJMmvTs1Pm0/v-deo.html -- you can apply the same techniques to trout magnets) or a small hook for free-falling.
