Either way, as a fan of The Mandalorian and 3 out of 5 Disney Era films I dont see the point in constantly being upset by things coming out of the company. My only issue with it all is I just wish it was JF and DF who made the sequel trilogy. Let JJ and RJ make single stand alone movies like Solo or Rogue One. But thats all my personal opinion on the matter.

Thankfully, I'm just looking forward to new star wars. Interestingly, Light of the Jedi was great. High recommend it! Didn't expect it to be that good.
It's weird how Kathleen Kennedy is a producer in both the sequels and The Mandalorian, but when it comes to the movies she's responsible for everything and when it comes to the show she supposedly did nothing.
Well her creative side that had control during the sequels didn't pan out and she brought JJ Abrams who ain't that good and Rian Johnson who is good but didn't fit a movie part of a saga at all, so she kinda had to learn the hard way, still don't like for messing up the Sequels but hey, she let mando happen
How weirdly convenient that people are convinced that there is some sort of divide among lucasfilm that somehow happens to be exactly along the lines of the content they like and dislike themselves. Sounds like a LOT of wishful thinking.
Just a reminder that every single SW related project can't get off the ground without Kathleen Kennedy greenlighting it, including The Mandalorian, the Obi-Wan series and the Ahsoka series.
Yeah and this is why its strange people hold such hostility. They keep saying "she called me sexist" nah. Its fringe employees who were fired that went off the rails a few times. And the term "ManBaby" is so benign that its absurd to get mad at lol.
Also, when Kathleen Kennedy was put in charge of Lucasfilm after the Disney acquisition, Bob Iger wanted a major Star Wars movie each year for the first 5 years. That's a lot for one person to oversee!
The only civil war that's remotely happening within "Star Wars" is actually with the Fandom Menace. There turning on each other on Twitter. With Steven Wayne (who doesn't understand concept art) calling out Geeks and Gamers. Calling him a snake lol. They'll turn on each other and implode in the end.
People just make up the wildest things and thousands just believe it. Love her or hate her, Kathleen Kennedy made Lucasfilm literal billions in just a few years. Star Wars is making more money than it has in decades and it’s actually relevant again. There’s a reason George Lucas chose her to take the helm and also why Disney continues to expand her contract. Dave Filoni doesn’t want to be in charge, don’t know why people keep bringing that up. And John is a director, a great director and creator, but that’s not the same as running a multi billion dollar company. Same as Dave, he just wants to make great stories and characters, that can run afoul with running a business. And like you said, these ridiculous rumors and gossip is created by people that need UA-cam clicks and money. And I get it, money is money, but that’s all it is. They didn’t have some secret source, they don’t know something that everyone else knows, they’re just making it up or parroting what other silly stuff they had, knowing that some Star Wars fans would be looking for reasons to hate on Star Wars and more specifically Kathleen Kennedy. So when they see videos like “war at LucasFilm” they want to believe it.
If you believe the youtube clickbait tabloids Disney is going bankrupt and everyone hates their Star Wars. ,...yet Disney is determined to continue making these things that apparently nobody wants,...? lmao :-)
Hell, even if Filoni WANTED it, why would the FANS want it? I thought people liked Filoni's work? Why would they want him to stop writing new content and instead be saddled with the job of overseeing all of the books and movies and shows and games and theme parks? He wouldn't have any time to do the writing they love him for.
Channels like Mike Zeroh and Geeks + Gamers are just making money by creating false rumors and telling the toxic fanbase what they want to hear. They are tearing the fandom apart because they want attention

Hey! So what I meant about a "tug of war", was more about story groups having different visions or truths about The Force or other plot-things and hence giving mixed facts or statements regarding that. For example, as I already mentioned, Lukes words in the last episode of season 2; "Talent without training is nothing". The story group that created the sequel seems to not have any problems at all with random people being exremely talented and in tune with the force, while the "story group" that created The Mandalorian have a different view on things. This can also be seen in Rebels vs The Mandalorian in the way Bo-Katan either accepts or does not accept the dark saber without having beaten the previous owner. Could this become a problem in the future or is this just nitpicking at this point :)? For me it really doesn't matter who runs Lucasfilm or who created which series. As long as they are passionate, its fine. Im sorry if I didn't formulate my question before quite as well but its fine. Your view on this "faked" Kennedy vs Filoni was intreresting to listen to aswell! Stay healty!
With that Luke quote, it's about training to control your power. Rey didn't train to control her power and ended up accidentally using force lightning. A similar thing happens to grogu when he chocked Cara Dune. Talent is nothing without control.
My favourite part is that the channels that originally started the rumour are the same ones who have been claiming that Kathleen Kennedy is getting fired really soon since 2016.

I have seen every single Star Wars movie when they were first released and I love the sequel trilogy. I’m sick of all the Star Wars hate, and this is coming from a Born again Christian Conservative.

I love that guy and he makes some cool original SW stories, but sometimes he feeds into the same bs misinformation and really rags on the sequels and their fans. I find the whole Lucasfilm Civil War thing... quite tiresome, really. I don't think people understand that Kennedy was likely as much of a student of George Lucas as Dave Filoni was. Kennedy and Lucas go back a ways- I think she was both a producer and a cameo appearance in Indiana Jones & The Temple of Doom. A quick look at her IMDB page shows that she has... a lot of credits. Here's a few examples: The Girl on the Train Lincoln War Horse The Curious Case of Benjamin Button War of the Worlds (2005) Seabiscuit Signs The Sixth Sense Twister Balto Schindler's List Jurassic Park (and its two sequels, The Lost World and Jurassic Park III) The Land Before Time Who Framed Roger Rabbit? An American Tail Back To The Future (and its sequels) The Goonies E.T. Clearly, she does not ruin everything she touches. Lucas put her in charge of Lucasfilm while his other student Filoni stays where he is, happily leading the creation of new Star Wars things and the expansion of that universe. She probably knows how Star Wars works as much as Filoni does. I've enjoyed basically everything about this new Star Wars universe that I've had the opportunity to experience so far, and I'm curious to see what they've got coming. I have spoken- THIS IS THE WAY.
Yes Kennedy has had a long successful career. No she was not a student of Lucas 🙄 She is a new teacher for Filoni that brings a different perspective and experience being a producer rather than a director.

I also love filmjoy, I'm big on the borderlands community, where mikey used to write for, and I got to have drinks with him at a game release party before he had to quit because of his health. He is an amazing talent and seems like everyone who knew him at gearbox loved him

@@ATATChat he not only wrote for borderlands but he did voice acting for scooter, had a great emotion arc in tales of the borerlands and brought just about everyone who played it to tears. If you have never check out that series it's worth it to star wars fans, has a very outer rim scoundrel feel to it, great combination of heart and comedy. I love stories that make me laugh and cry

Also it's really important to point out that Dave Filoni wouldn't be doing live action if it wasn't for Kathleen. She was the one who got him on set for the sequels and gave him the experience he needed to do live action himself.
There already IS a; "Vader; A Star Wars Story" It's called, "Star Wars; Episodes 1 through 9." lol Seriously, the entire, "Skywalker Saga," IS about Vader, primarily. He's the main character in at least half of them, and he appears in all six of the originals and prequels, those being LITERALLY Anakin Skywalker's LIFE STORY. From when he was discovered by the Jedi as a small boy all the way up until he had fallen to the Dark Side and then been redeemed by his Son after he was the primary Antagonist for more than FOUR movies. I'm sorry, it's just strange, to me, to hear people say they'd like to learn about Vader lol when he literally forms the backbone of the entire Star Wars Cinematic Universe, and has since the first few moments of the very first film WAY back at the beginning in 1977. 🤣👍

@@ATATChat The Vader comics really make it seem like a power fantasy, we already saw all his major moments and how his story ends, so there really isn't much for him to do outside of crush someone and probably have an internal conflict that wouldn't really affect him that much
While I'm not a fan of Kathleen Kennedy, (I personally think Star Wars could be better hands) I doubt anyone in Lucasfilms is vindictive enough to have a "war." If anything Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni showed what good story direction can do.

_Do you think Ahsoka will ever be killed off?_ In my opinion I don’t believe Filoni will ever kill her, since he has stated she was not dead in TROS. She has nearly faced death multiple times in clone wars along with Rebels and survived each time. If her resurrection by Morai is anything to go off of, Ahsoka may also have partial immortality and could possibly live for many centuries like Yoda.
Honestly it just makes Episode 8's plot seem worse as it's based on the fact that Rey is last remaining Jedi after Luke dies. Like Ahsoka is just somewhere in the galaxy as another Jedi and pretty much forgotten.
@@Turbulation1 indeed, even though I do appreciate the story of the sequels, having Ahsoka as one of the only living force users to speak to Rey is odd. Best case scenario Ahsoka was on a mission that demanded her presence, that much can be gathered since we never hear about her being involved with the Resistance.

If I had the unlimited money and resources to make any Star Wars story I wanted, I personally would pick to make a Disney+ series all about the story of Tarre Viszla because I would love to see more about the first (and as far as we know ONLY) Mandalorian Jedi
Small lore correction; Vaapad does not rely on the user's darkness but rather the darkness of the opponent. Vaapad allowed Windu to become a conduit in which his opponent's darkness was redirected. Otherwise, I'd agree - Vaapad is the most practical form especially against Sith who are filled with darkness. Followed by Soresu to counter aggression and force the opening. People in nature need something to concern themselves with. So this would be a good topic that these people can pick up in the current climate. Mixed with the fact that people will believe what they want to hear creates noise. And if you create noise it spreads, when it spreads it becomes real to them, when it becomes real to them then it causes uproar, when it causes uproar it furthers these peoples agenda to kick down something they don’t like because they disagree with the direction a story for young teens was told. Funny, we watch a lot of the same UA-cam channels. And I would like to master form 3, as I am more of a defensive guy. Just thought to put these two here for the reason of I wanted too.

Oh, here's a good question. If you were given the reigns on Star Wars Canon for a bit, how would you Expanded upon Snoke as a character from what little we know of him from the movies. How would you characterize him in EU material, what would he know of Exegol and Palpatine, what would his own insidious machinations independent of Palpatine be, would he know if he was a Clone. Essentially if you could write some Expanded Universe material for Snoke, what would you right for him, since I still think Snoke is a fascinating character with much untapped potential.

I understand the issues with the films etc for sure. I do think shes had more wins with SW than misses. People focus a bit too hard on ONE movie. And TROS is kind of the result of a main character dying imo. However, I dont disagree that the director turnover is bizarre and that the marketting for the last two SW films were miserable.

Kathleen Should've Given the Authority to Jon. She had an experiment With the sequels and it failed and thats ok since she made up for it with The Mandalorian and the upcoming shows. But trying to Regain that Authority she had back in 2015 amidst the achievements of Favreau and Filoni is Baseless and Stupid.

False. You should check out Thor Skywalker's review of the latest books. He hates the Sequels and Kathleen but is rational enough to make his own mind up. He ended up saying the high republic is good. Stop hating because it's easy. Stop believing everything you hear that's unsubstantiated. It's silly as hell.
So it turns out KK had a hand in putting Filoni together with Favreau. That doesn't mean she isn't envious about the Mando Series' wild popularity. Think about it. Her Sequels were absolutely hated and The Mando loved. You think there's no professional jealousy? I too doubt there's a "civil war, but it's impossible not to see that there's TWO FACTIONS at Lucasfilm: 1) The unwelcome SJW, pro- female, misandry-infused retcon-filled movies and books (most recently seen in the hilarious illustrations of High Repub Books). 2) The Classic/George Lucas styled Mandalorian Series. Can't doubt that.

People just make up the wildest things and thousands just believe it. Love her or hate her, Kathleen Kennedy made Lucasfilm literal billions in just a few years. Star Wars is making more money than it has in decades and it’s actually relevant again. There’s a reason George Lucas chose her to take the helm and also why Disney continues to expand her contract.
Dave Filoni doesn’t want to be in charge, don’t know why people keep bringing that up. And John is a director, a great director and creator, but that’s not the same as running a multi billion dollar company. Same as Dave, he just wants to make great stories and characters, that can run afoul with running a business.

Hey! So what I meant about a "tug of war", was more about story groups having different visions or truths about The Force or other plot-things and hence giving mixed facts or statements regarding that. For example, as I already mentioned, Lukes words in the last episode of season 2; "Talent without training is nothing". The story group that created the sequel seems to not have any problems at all with random people being exremely talented and in tune with the force, while the "story group" that created The Mandalorian have a different view on things. This can also be seen in Rebels vs The Mandalorian in the way Bo-Katan either accepts or does not accept the dark saber without having beaten the previous owner. Could this become a problem in the future or is this just nitpicking at this point :)? For me it really doesn't matter who runs Lucasfilm or who created which series. As long as they are passionate, its fine. Im sorry if I didn't formulate my question before quite as well but its fine. Your view on this "faked" Kennedy vs Filoni was intreresting to listen to aswell!

Clearly, she does not ruin everything she touches. Lucas put her in charge of Lucasfilm while his other student Filoni stays where he is, happily leading the creation of new Star Wars things and the expansion of that universe. She probably knows how Star Wars works as much as Filoni does. I've enjoyed basically everything about this new Star Wars universe that I've had the opportunity to experience so far, and I'm curious to see what they've got coming.

It's called, "Star Wars; Episodes 1 through 9." lol Seriously, the entire, "Skywalker Saga," IS about Vader, primarily.
He's the main character in at least half of them, and he appears in all six of the originals and prequels, those being LITERALLY Anakin Skywalker's LIFE STORY. From when he was discovered by the Jedi as a small boy all the way up until he had fallen to the Dark Side and then been redeemed by his Son after he was the primary Antagonist for more than FOUR movies.
I'm sorry, it's just strange, to me, to hear people say they'd like to learn about Vader lol when he literally forms the backbone of the entire Star Wars Cinematic Universe, and has since the first few moments of the very first film WAY back at the beginning in 1977. 🤣👍

In my opinion I don’t believe Filoni will ever kill her, since he has stated she was not dead in TROS. She has nearly faced death multiple times in clone wars along with Rebels and survived each time. If her resurrection by Morai is anything to go off of, Ahsoka may also have partial immortality and could possibly live for many centuries like Yoda.
Honestly it just makes Episode 8's plot seem worse as it's based on the fact that Rey is last remaining Jedi after Luke dies. Like Ahsoka is just somewhere in the galaxy as another Jedi and pretty much forgotten.
@@Turbulation1 indeed, even though I do appreciate the story of the sequels, having Ahsoka as one of the only living force users to speak to Rey is odd. Best case scenario Ahsoka was on a mission that demanded her presence, that much can be gathered since we never hear about her being involved with the Resistance.

Small lore correction; Vaapad does not rely on the user's darkness but rather the darkness of the opponent. Vaapad allowed Windu to become a conduit in which his opponent's darkness was redirected. Otherwise, I'd agree - Vaapad is the most practical form especially against Sith who are filled with darkness. Followed by Soresu to counter aggression and force the opening. Mixed with the fact that people will believe what they want to hear creates noise. And if you create noise it spreads, when it spreads it becomes real to them, when it becomes real to them then it causes uproar, when it causes uproar it furthers these peoples agenda to kick down something they don’t like because they disagree with the direction a story for young teens was told.

Oh, here's a good question. If you were given the reigns on Star Wars Canon for a bit, how would you Expanded upon Snoke as a character from what little we know of him from the movies. How would you characterize him in EU material, what would he know of Exegol and Palpatine, what would his own insidious machinations independent of Palpatine be, would he know if he was a Clone. Essentially if you could write some Expanded Universe material for Snoke, what would you right for him, since I still think Snoke is a fascinating character with much untapped potential.

Awesome video man!! However I still do hope that Kennedy leaves. I still do not like how she handled the sequel trilogy and I hope they get somebody else to fix the mistakes that she made.
I understand the issues with the films etc for sure. I do think shes had more wins with SW than misses. People focus a bit too hard on ONE movie. And TROS is kind of the result of a main character dying imo. However, I dont disagree that the director turnover is bizarre and that the marketting for the last two SW films were miserable.
@@ATATChat Well my main problem with her is that she refuses to admit that the movies didn’t do well. And the fact that she lied to Lucas. Saying that she’ll treat the characters right and look what happened. I have a problem with people who lie in a deal like that. That’s a lack of honor to me.
@@Steel-101 I mean, in financial terms they did do well. And for me its like people telling George in 2005 to admit his prequels had failed due to the backlash those faced. It really isnt any different.

Kathleen Should've Given the Authority to Jon. She had an experiment With the sequels and it failed and thats ok since she made up for it with The Mandalorian and the upcoming shows. But trying to Regain that Authority she had back in 2015 amidst the achievements of Favreau and Filoni is Baseless and Stupid.
What on earth are you talking about? She isnt regaining authority? She IS authority. Are you over the age of 20? And working? Actually curious if you understand how a business is run and how things are factioned out by skill set.

Yeah, I try to understand what I can. But the hyperbole (on both sides too) is absurd to me. The flip side of this are losing their minds over JJ killing Ben Solo. Lots of anger these days.

Kathleen and her people have shown time and again she doesnt care about star wars and her new story group proves it. Then suddenly the mando does some fans service and suddenly star wars matters again. Its damage control because kk bucked up so hard.
False. You should check out Thor Skywalker's review of the latest books. He hates the Sequels and Kathleen but is rational enough to make his own mind up. He ended up saying the high republic is good. Stop hating because it's easy. Stop believing everything you hear that's unsubstantiated. It's silly as hell.
So it turns out KK had a hand in putting Filoni together with Favreau. That doesn't mean she isn't envious about the Mando Series' wild popularity.
Think about it. Her Sequels were absolutely hated and The Mando loved. You think there's no professional jealousy? I too doubt there's a "civil war, but it's impossible not to see that there's TWO FACTIONS at Lucasfilm:
1) The unwelcome SJW, pro- female, misandry-infused retcon-filled movies and books (most recently seen in the hilarious illustrations of High Repub Books).
2) The Classic/George Lucas styled Mandalorian Series.
Can't doubt that.
