Man why in the blue hell haven't Nintendo themselves released a pro joycon? Or at least have a premium hori split that does all the Binbok stuff? 😭
Couldn't agree more! They're missing out massively by not creating pro versions :(
The Hori's are OFFICILALY LISCENSED by Nintendo. Not sure about the Binboks though. Id imagine that Nintendo is making a nice percentage from Hori.
Exactly , well said .
My guess is anything nintendo officially licensed needs to hamstrung to not eat into the legitimate nintendo joycon sales. That's why the hori lack features that should be there.
It’s crazy because Nintendo has so many ‘colored’ controllers, but that’s it, there’s no improvements with newer joycons especially from other developers. Although the larger Binbok controllers feel so much better.
For those torn between the 2 go for the beefy transparent BinBoks. The slimmed down version takes away comfort and uniqueness of the joycon; the transparent ones are probably your best shot at good Quality control.
I will say my pair has the annoying rumble buzz on the left joycon, and once in a blue moon it cuts off and you have to reconnect it again. Im not really expecting perfection for a third party product tho, so im happy with the product as is
Glad to hear your thoughts on it
I didn't know that there are beefy BinBoks. Might have to check them out now.
I’m loving your channel and can’t believe you don’t have more subscribers but I know you’re definitely going to get there. Love the quality and you. New subscriber. :)
Thank you so much! Let's hope it continues to grow :) welcome to the club!
Great review! I decided to pick some of these up after watching your review. I've been wanting a new set to go with my new Oled Switch. Take care!
Thank you! I hope you enjoy them :)
How is it? Any follow ups?
@@doublinski2426 They are great! They are a little slippery after playing for a few hours, but still feel fine. I’ve played BOTW and Triangle strategy with them and they have been very comfortable and accurate.
Ahich one did you choose?
really love your videos. I think you coincidentally have all the answers I'm lookin for haha :D
Aw thank you so much! So glad to help, don't hesitate to ask any questions if we haven't covered anything in a video (I'll either comment or maybe even do a video about it depending on what it is)!
I love how the Binboks look. But the layout is just like the regular Joycon; the buttons and analog sticks are still aligned directs above and below each other. The Hori’s have that offset and that extra size helps my thumbs rest nicely on top of the analogs and buttons. I prefer the Binbok look because the Hori’s look huge, but the look doesn’t matter much for comfortability and gameplay. Also, I don’t actually like the clicky sound because it’s distracting. The mushiness of the Hori kind of muffles the button-press sound, making it less intrusive when I’m trying to play games. So I’ll stick with my Hori’s for the moment. But great review.👍🏽
The binboks are actually super comfortable, because they're more ergonomic with that bell shape it angles your hands out to the correct position unlike the standard Joy-Con. Totally get what you mean about the sound and overall comfort though, glad you're enjoying your Hori's!
Why not just go for the non-slim version of binbok?
@@sig1761 Indeed!
@@sig1761 I had actually thought about that.👍🏽
@@johnmecca9008 although they have lots of bells and whistles, the binboks lack quality assurance, and the d pad is awful and the analog sticks have a chance to have dead zones. If you value button precision and a more premium experience, stick with the horis
I love my Spit Pad Pros but I can definitely notice much faster battery drain on my original release Switch. I love using them but I may end up switching back to the joy cons if it continues to be aggravating.
Yeah it will suck the battery sadly :( that's what's good about the binboks as they have internal batteries too
From what I heard if you are not playing your switch you can conserve battery life by removing the hori split pad.
I’ve been playing a game called “green hell” and I just plugged in my hori BUT when I try to save the A &
b buttons don’t work
Great review as always. I'd say if someone plays shooters and plays competitively get SPP (Split pad pro). If u play everything besides shooters I'd say get any third party controller that isnt officially licensed by nintendo.
Very good advice!
Yeah that’s what I think. I’ve got both and the hori is better more comfortable for shooters but I prefer binbok for everything else. I just wish Nintendo would make an official joycon pro because the originals are just not good enough. Way too small and fiddly for me.
@@sandman8993 I wish nintendo would create a splitpad pro with all the bells and wistles of the actual joycons but then nobody would ever buy joycons ever again which is why I think they don't allow splitpad pros to have rumble and gyro. I had binkboks the white ones and while I loved using them for regular non competitive games once used with competitive games it rendered it useless imo. Everything else is amazing on binboks which is why so many people buy them. To be honest all nintendo has to do is raise the sticks slightly and maybe update the pice underneath the controller that holds the thumbsticks and makes it move.
I was going to get the hori pro but good thing I checked out this video, you saved me from a crap load of frustration, I got large hands but I don’t like my switch bulky and what not when it comes to handheld mode, that was an instant deal breaker for me along with the lack of features for a licensed Nintendo product, with the crappy buttons that has a lot of travel with the cheap feel, I just ordered the newer slimed version of the binbok crystal version today because same as you I grew up on the crystal versions of the N64, Xbox, and GBA. And it was cheaper on Amazon so that was a no question for me. I hate the default joycons because I have large hands and after awhile they cramp my hands up and, I just don’t have a good hand placement so certain games aren’t possible for me to play because it would literally hurt my hands lol.
Yeah totally understandable! I hope you like the binboks!!
I've only only the white thick binboks and it continues to randomly cut off and I have to press L and R to turn it back.. I wonder if the slim ones suffer from this random disconnect. Anyone know how the slim feels compared to the thick binbok?
Have you tried updating the firmware? Check BinBok's website to see how to do it, that may fix it. If not, maybe contact them to ask about it, they may sort it for you! I've had no issues with mine so far
Great video
Thank you! :D
The Binbok joycons seem very nice, especially because they have rumble and gyro, which the Hori doesn't have and are deal breakers for me. But something about the Binboks makes me doubt. How long will they last before they start having issues? Is their manufacturing quality decent?
Yeah the BinBok quality control won't be as good as the Hori. The Hori will no doubt be better over time since they're licenced products
What would be the best travel case for the Binbok Joycon slim?
I love Hori, because they don’t think “what can we do to sell more” instead they think “what can we do to make plenty of options for our buyers”
Yeah definitely, would be nice to have some rumble etc though in a split pad pro V2!
I have observed that the BinBok slim edition does not have a mapable trigger on the back. Can you please confirm this?
That's correct, I mention it in the video. The larger BinBok do have it though.
Have had them for about 2 months now. My first set had same issue with right remote z button being extra clicky compares to the left so returned them. 2nd pair came In first 2 weeks right remote was definitely quiter than the first set, but after being used the clicking noise did get louder to how it was on the first pair.... I wonder if something internally gets worn out amd causes it to make the noise. Other than that definitely best remote available for the switch.
Ah that's a shame, maybe there is something wearing super quick. Strange though as I don't seem to have an issue myself
Does any ody know if the binbok analog sticks are as accurate and precise ad a pro controller or is the accuracy precision still terrible as joycon thumbsticks? (Not speaking about drift issues)
The analogue sticks have more range than Joy-Cons so they feel more accurate but the Hori sticks are bigger again like full size pro controller sticks. I don't think anything can actually compare to the pro controller sticks but we'll find out, we've got some other alternatives coming our way we'll test soon
@@128KB so would u say the hori splitpad thumbsticks come closer to pro controller accuracy and precision or do they suck like joycon thumbsticks?
@@WavyVaporizers the Hori ones are closest to a pro controller for sure because they're full sized :)
Deadzone? The pro controller is the best. Then Hori. Binboks are off.
@@MrA-wd7gm so u would say hori has thumbstick accuracy up there with a pro controller ? I had the binboks but sending them back tomorrow because they're better than joycons but the thumbstick accuracy still isnt accurate for fps.
Thanks for the video. Have you noticed if the binboks discharge your switch in sleep mode faster than the Nintendo joycons?
No problem! No, that's not something I've been aware of actually!
Thanks. Are the binbok's buttons and triggers much louder than the factory joycons? I sometimes play in bed with someone asleep.
@@cocoa_baby they are a little louder, a little more rattle but not by a huge amount
@@128KB cheers! Glad I found your review 😁
@@cocoa_baby no problem! Glad you enjoyed it :D
Would you know if the binboks use the same joy stick module as the og joycons? Just wondering in the case that they do drift in the future. Also, how is the latency like? Thanks for the informative video!
I believe they're different but not 100% sure! I've had no latency issues at all :)
There's a deadzone to them. I don't have hori but from what I've seen they have a deadzone also but might be slightly better. It's something you get used to but for competitive fps using a pro controller or a adapter is best. For certain games it works great definitely better than the joycons.
What do you think about the “mini” switch controllers by Power A?
They look awesome I must admit but I haven't used one sadly, so not sure what they're like :(
that Binbok joypads look exactly the same with the iine genius joypads, right?
How's the deadzone on the binbok controllers are they precise?
Sadly there is slight deadzones (on all of BinBok's controllers I've tried) the Hori are much more precise
so i am looking for handheld mode and i need better ergo ie bigger grips as i have grip issue with my left hand. I went with Hori for the added size not sure this slim addition is much different than original joycon footprint
We've got a full indepth review of the slim BinBok controllers and you can see how much they differ from the original joycon BUT the Hori are still much larger for sure :)
Nintendo Joystick is what I use when I play switch outside (not the best controller but needs to fit inside my case).
HORI split pad PRO is what I use when I'm indoor but playing handheld mode (when on couch or bed).
Nintendo PRO controller is what I use when I'm indoor but playing docked (especially playing SSB).
Yeah nice!
I much prefer the Hori. They fit the palm perfectly. The Bok ones are to similar to the original cons. To small and the palm curls up a bit making them uncomfortable over long periods much like the original. The Hori ones feel like an xbox controller. Perfect.
All depends on your hand size! I'm in the middle, medium sized hands so they both feel good to me but glad you love the Hori! We're checking out the Mobapad M6 Gemini soon, they're the same size as the hori but way more features!
That's literally what people are saying but opposite to that loool
But no wireless lmao
Which Chinese website did you order your Binbok controllers from? The link you put are for US import and they cost over £60
Directly from their website binbok.com/
Yep, over £65 on this website.
I actually agree with you on this one, but even though binbox are great I still prefer to use my grip with the joy cons
Glad you agree! I still love using a grip though I must admit, both are great ways to play 😁
This is actually a hard choice LOL. Your giving up HD Rumble, also it won't fit in a case, when attached, like when using a satisfy grip/case.
Also some of the other grips, have a kick stand, by using other brands, other than satisfy, that would sacrifice being able to put your grip and switch into a case, like the satisfy offers.
Also some cases have more than one game holders/game holder flaps/some cases hold more games/some games have 10 game slots/sleeves,per flap,so some hold 20 games, vs the satisfy case, where it only allows for one flap of games vs the two you get with some other cases.
The other final question is, do the after market/Hori pad, use more battery, when in handheld mode, compared to traditional joycons?
I keep a 30thousand mah battery pack with me, so this PROBABLY wont matter to me, but its still something that should probably be asked.
It seems like there isn't a perfect option/your loosing SOMETHING,depending on the option you choose.
@@mattmatt2417 Very true! There never is a perfect option but I guess you have to make sacrifices... The Hori will definitely use more battery as they have no internal batteries, whereas the joycons/BinBok ones do have batteries inside buuuut if you have a 30k power bank I don't think it'll make much of a difference.
@@128KB I ended up going with the Red Hori Split Pad Pro,I also found a case for them/it holds 20 games,it has a zipper area, like my current case, but it will also hold my Switch, with my Split Pad Pros attached.
I have big hands, but being able to put all of this, in one case, is a game changer/that was a HUGE factor, when I was trying to pick/choose/determine which to buy.
@@mattmatt2417 ah that's great! I think you've made a great choice as the Hori are really good, especially since you have bigger hands! Hope you enjoy it 😁
Hmm the horis will drain slower because they don't offer gyro nor rumble and don't need to be charged. Their minimalism actually makes them really power efficient
True! Yet the BinBok's hair their own batteries for each controller and they do last a long while
I love my hori the only down side for me is you can’t use them with out the switch but other than that they great for me
Can binbok charge while the charge too?
Waiting on my second set of Binboks to arrive. As long as these are manufactured I will not buy another set of joycons. I really want Gulikit to make their hall effect controller in a joy-con style like this.
You can get the NYXI GameCube joycons that have hall effect sticks in them but only in the GameCube controller layout sadly
My custom gameboy joycons won’t work anymkre sadly.
I have to use tabletop mode which I like ofc with my 8bitdo pro 2 gameboy edition
But I have to use docked which I
never liked for my OLED switch
I’m planning on getting 3rd party joycons but I don’t know what to choose the retroflag or the binbox slim in black.
I’m not getting the nitrodeck because I think the retroflag is better it’s cheaper
I ordered the binbok controller I had the split pad pro it was great
Awesome, hope you enjoy it!
I put the Hori on my switch 2 years ago and haven't toke them off yet. Haven't tried the other yet
Awesome, glad you enjoy it!
Well, except for the fact that after five months BOTH shoulder triggers of my Binbok slims BROKE at the same place inside the button, AND both sticks are randomly registering random directions...
Sorry to hear you've had issues, mine are still holding up fine so far. I can't vouch for their quality control in manufacturing but with the Hori being licenced their QC is most likely much better.
I got the binboks recently after I just couldn’t stand the Joycons drift anymore, and I haven’t looked back since. While the dpad sucks, everything else is great and I would recommend them myself.
Glad to hear you're enjoying them! Yeah the d-pad isn't great but everything else is very good!
I have the larger joycons from binbok and I can say that the d-pad may not feel good on its own but in games I've not noticed unlike the ugly pro controller d-pad that's just bad all around.
PS Nintendo invented the d-pad so I'm really confused.
Five months later do they still work okay?
@@prettyoriginalnameprettyor7506 they work good for me most of the time. They 100% work when directly on the switch but off the switch they sometimes don't want to behave themselves. You need to reattach them to the switch.
Hello.. Would you prefer the original standard binbok or the slimmer version? In terms of button layout and ergonomics overall..
I prefer the small ones but I have relatively small hands haha
@@128KB ok thank u bro...because i have the standard size and happy with it.. Dono if i should try the slimmer version or not. Nway cheers mate ☺️
My BinBok slim’s are arriving soon!
Awesome! Really hope you like them!
@@128KB they got here yesterday and I can honestly say these are more comfortable than the Satisfye ZenGrip Pro for my OLED. I will only use these going forward! Thanks again
How are the deadzones on the Binboks?
@@whiskslim237 I'll be doing a deadzone test with multiple joycon alternatives in the near future
I prefer the Binbok clear thick. They are phenomenal.
Awesome
Which ones do you recommend for someone playing mainly pokemon series, stardew, minecraft, animal crossing, lego, maybe mario? thanks :)
Oooo tough choices! I've got a dedicated review basically saying "is the Hori still worth buying today" and also there's the Mobapad joycon alternatives too. The thing with BinBok/Mobapad is you have to import from China and they're not officially licenced. The benefit of the Hori is better joystick accuracy (no dead zone) and also they're officially licenced so potentially better quality control, they're also more easily accessible.
@@128KB yes it's a really hard choice because both seem to have big cons as well! The licensed part really got me pointing towards Hori, but i might check further options, thanks tho :)
Yeah definitely, if you can get the Hori for a good price, here in the UK full price they're £50 but often go down to £30ish, then I'd definitely recommend them. Have a good look at others first, we've got videos on the Mobapad and BinBok slims, full review of the Hori and VS videos soon :)
BinBok is super nice!
I like them!
I have the OG Binboks that were popular early last year. I bought them in February or March, but my left stick is going wonky. Any possible fixes?
Ah that's a shame to hear! Is it just resetting to an angle rather than straight up? I'm not sure how easily it would be to replace really
@@128KB for example, when playing Paper Mario and Contra: Rogue Corps, when trying to move right,it would, th en slightly move back to the left.
@@IC4N7C strange, doesn't sound like drift to me as usually that will be constant. Joysticks can be replaced but it is usually fiddly! I may do a video sometime showing how to replace a joycon joystick
@@IC4N7C Might be snapback
@@louisgrissman4857 snapback?
It's really annoying how neither option is that convincing. They both have some pretty detrimental flaws, the hori drains a lot of battery and has mushy buttons, while the binboks have really bad quality control and bad d-pads.
Remember when the wiimote was like $40??
I wish Nintendo would just make their own, simpler versions of the joycons. Take out the NFC or gyro or rumble, make them more affordable.
I have pretty big hands so the original joycons are virtually unusable after 30 minutes.
Yeah I have to agree with you there on all accounts. It's such a shame. Have you seen our first look at the Mobapad M6 Gemini? It's a Hori alternative, we'll be doing a full review of it soon but I'll say right away that still has compromises. I really hope switch 2 brings official alternatives but I doubt it
@@128KB I'd never heard of them before, but looking them up now they look very promising! I'm a little iffy about them only being available on Aliexpress but I'll stick around and wait for your review. I'm interested.
@@ekyanso4253 yeah it's annoying they're only available there, there's a lot I like about them but a couple annoyances too! Hoping to film the review this week!
Hello Antinatural, a question, do the hori pro consume more battery from the switch than the normal joycon? Since these hori do not have a battery, if so, is the difference noticeable? like more than 15% of battery? I really care about this section as I only use them in portable mode because I live traveling I give it importance, greetings
D-pad being bad is unfortunately a dealbreaker for me. I only need joycons for handheld mode (I just use pro controller when docked), where I'm mostly playing more D-pad-intensive experiences like indies/2D platformers
Yeah totally understandable there, I wish 3rd party Dpads became better on controllers like these
Which do you prefer sir IINE or Mobapad M6? Thanks
Pretty sure the IINE is just another rebrand of the BinBok controllers, like the NYXI. It's hard to compare really when the IINE are wireless etc. whereas the Mobapad M6 is wired only but I really do like the mechanical switches of the Mobapad. The wireless of the IINE/NYXI/BinBok is really handy though!
@@128KB Thank you sir & godbless!
@@haize1511 You're welcome :)
Hello...I wanted to say that it's crazy people who talk about Binbok as well on youtube in general...Yet there are so many problems with their production like my 2 friends who we bought Binbok joycons and they only have problems...postal return...return...after a few months still bugs...It's really awful to pay to be unsure of receiving something that doesn't work...I've had the Hori for 2 years and I've never had any problems with it and I'm really happy with it... They are simple and really very good in games and last a very long time...... As I always say Nintendo simple the best and I trust that has Nintendo and license under Nintendo...I would never put anything No Nintendo on my Oled Switch
The Hori is just wayyy too big. It would be nice if you could use them wirelessly as an actual controller, but you can't. The Binbok on the other hand, feels pretty good as a wireless controller.
But for me, the Binbok is just better for the sole reason that I'm using the wider Switch OLED, and the sheer size of the Hori makes me feel like I'm playing on a steering wheel. Binbok slim is just right. It's not as comfortable as playing on a Switch Lite, but IMO it's the best option for the Switch OLED.
Yeah good points, I really like the size of the binbok slims!
I have to disagree with the verdict here. If the dpad is naff, then it's bad. It can have every feature of the joycons, if the dpad sucks it's not worth buying. Hori's might only be a controller with no added features and might be slightly too big. But at least everything on it is functionally good by the sounds of it. Will get the Hori I think.
Yeah that's fair enough, overall for general casual gamers I'd say the BinBok slims are great BUT I would chose the Hori over them for the accuracy of the joysticks and better Dpad
Hori for sure between this two
I have that all ..i like binbok in terms of looks but the the joysticks sucks in shooter games deadzone is terrible compare to the hori which is precise
It seems the quality control between units isn't amazing, mine are fine really! Hori I expect better quality control since they're officially licenced!
Only reason I ain't buying these is because it's a roll of the dice of you get an actual functional pair. My friends Binboks were complete trash out of the box. Cheap plastic and sticking buttons AND massive drift. Hori for me.
That's totally fair, I've only got experience with this one pair but I have heard from someone that commented previously that they bought a black pair and then the transparent pair and the transparent ones were much better quality then the black ones.
@@128KB the transparent ones in your video looked far superior to his admittedly 👍 it's so frustrating! Ghahh!! And tbh I'd happily pay 60 quid for a working pair like yours.

In future I'll be covering dread zones for sure, something I forgot to do for these. Overall, as an officially licenced product the Hori are probably better quality from pair to pair but my BinBok's had no issues at all.
As of April 2022 the binbok are now £57
😱 that's madness 🤔

No that’s a lie or they weren’t released yet cus now you can buy the pad pro with an attachment which is kinda necessary but it’s a grip with a wire kinda cool
Yeah they didn't release that until after this video
You can get a wired set for the hori
You can now yeah but here in the UK you have to buy it as a bundle with the controllers, which is stupid
@@128KB Yeah it's the same here in the us, where you can't get the attachment piece separately but you have to buys it as a set
But you still can’t use it on tabletop mode unless you buy a stand that connects to the bottom port and has a USB A port.
Which do you prefer; Binbok Slim, Nyxi or Mobapad? 😖 (I can only afford one!😝)
Hard to say really! I may do a video on it as many ask the same. BinBok/NYXI you have the benefit of using them wirelessly and independently for multiplayer, which is a benefit. Mobapad is excellent for if you only ever play in handheld mode. If you're after handheld only then I'd probably say Mobapad but I really like the mechanical switches, for good all rounders then either BinBok/NYXI
@@128KB I’m definitely intrigued with the mechanical buttons of the Moba 🤔 is the d-pad good? Full size sticks good for FPS games?
Thanks 👍

i dont think the hori stands a chance against the hyperion
I simply don't understand why one would need rgb on a controller. Look at the screen, not your hands. The D-Pad is important if you play Hollow knight.
No one needs RGB for anything, people just like it haha. That's not the point here though, you can turn it off, the BinBok have tonnes of other features going for it not to mention wireless. Whereas the split pad pro has no additional features really.
One question how can someone use d pad as buttons gosh

was there ever an update ? i cant find it 😭
Firmware update? Should be on the binbok website!
@@128KB like if it drifted or if there were any problems that happened more after long-term use
Dude, the d pad on the binbok is literally UNUSABLE. Whether for platform games or fighters or anything 2D.
If the binbok (larger) had the hori dpad it would be the ultimate joycon, finally.
The little ones you are showing have no material grip, just hard plastic on the back.
The horis are a no go too because of lack of wireless and features, but the binbok are rubbish too at the end of the day.
BinBok are updating all their joycons, so we've been told. When they've revised them I'm sure we'll check them out!
@@128KB Well that will be huge if they fix the d pad. I will buy 2 sets so I always have a spare. I play too many 2D and TATE arcade games
The horis are ass they felt so cheap for the price very disappointing even the button presses felt cheap like a cheap after market console controller I’d rather buy some grips for it
Yeah I understand what you mean
Turbo will help in Mario 😝
Hahah
The Binboks WILL eventually drift like the joy-cons. Whats great about the Hori's is that they are EXTREMELY reliable. EXTREMELY reliable.
I enjoyed your emphasis on certain words there. Yeah the Hori QC is expected to be better since it's a licensed product
Not too sure about that. I could’ve had a defective pair but for me the mechanism on the split pad used to connect it to the switch actually broke off randomly one day when I was taking the controllers off and got lodged into the side of my switch. I got it out but that was only after 2 weeks of having them
@@Cloverdosee That sucks
@@supersteve76 Extremely reliable, you don’t say.
@@Cloverdoseewere you using the release buttons or just sliding them off?
there really is no good option. the joycons are small and have terrible joysticks with drift. using a grip doesn't solve the joystick problem but makes it slightly more comfortable. hori split pad pro is comfortable can only be used while attached and don't have gyro or vibration. binbok is also comfortable and can be used wirelessly with vibration and gyro, but they have even worse quality control than Nintendo and can take years to brake, or 2 months. I'm stumped
"They do have rumble, not HD rumble, but they do have rumble, just in the back you can see the rumble, so they do have rumble" fk me!
Good ain't it
@@128KB more shit than good ain't it.
Binbok looks cheep comparing it to the nyxy hyperion 2nd gen way better alternative
I have the full size Binbok for 4 months now. Also have the Hori. Here's my 50 cents....
I really have a hard time picking one of them because both havbe there merits and neither is perfect. The Hori have a better build quality. They feel like they will never break and once attache dto the switch it feels like one sturdy thing. I also like that all buttons are very consistant - I even like them better than the buttons of the official pro controller. And the D pad is just, maybe the best I've used so far. Thus Hori is best for 2D plattformers. Playing responsive games like Dead Cells really makes you apprichiate the Hori.
The Binbok feel cheaper. Optically they fitz much nicer to the Switch than the Hori but the holding the switch with one hand doesn't feel as solid as the Hori. The Binbok controller is a little more loose (but stiil not as bad as the original joycons). After attaching and removing the controller a few times the lock mechanism has enough wear that I can remove the right joycon without pushing the release button. That's my main bummer so far. But - even if they are pretty similar in size - they fit MUCH better in my hands. In terms of "tailor made for my hands" they are second after the Xbox 360 controller. The buttons are okay, but the lag behind the Hori a little. The Joysticks are about the same. The Hori seem a tad better in terms of precision and dead zone. But I like the resistance of the binbok better. Side note: for me both work better than the sticks on the official pro controller, becaus ethey have too little resistance and they make a clicking sound when leaving the dead zone. Hori and Binbok don't do that. The rumble of the Binbok is pretty "basic" and too strong for my taste even on the lowest setting. so I often end up turning it of. The Binbok is my first choice whenever I need gyro (racing games or gyro aiming). The Binbok's ability to transform into a fullsize wireless controller makes it my first choices for travel (because I often play on hotel TV or in tabletop mode). All in all the binbok wins.
Next week I'm getting the Mobapad M6. I wonder how they will compare, but since they are not wireless they will not replace the Binbok entirely. Also, I have doubts that they will surpass the Binboks ergonomis, because.. well they are just about perefect in that regard.
p.s.
I don't think the Hori will drain the battery faster, because they hardly do anything that requires juice. After all the Binbok have more things that will need power and when ever they are connected they will charge using the switch's battery. Also third party controller that have a battery are more prone to drain the switch's battery when in stanfby.
Yeah they all have their pros and cons don't they! I think quality control is a slight issue too as I see some people with certain issues that others don't.
We've got a first look video of the Mobapad up but our full review is going up next week!
Well this comment is pretty damn useful for me, thanks!
I have a moba pad m6 Gemini joy cons and to me they are the best in the market better then the shitty split pad pro
I can't wait to test the MobaPad! We'll be taking a look at it on the channel verrrrry soon! Super hyped
It is a very good joy con pad I hope you guys enjoy it as much as I have
@@alexgonzalez3857 I'm definitely the most hyped for them out of any so far! Glad you're loving them, I'll be doing a first look video and then an in-depth review after too. Stay tuned! 😁
@@128KB I would like to see your review on the moba pad m6 Gemini

Nintendo is sleep on the potential for selling better joycons and binbok and third parties often try to fill the void
Yeah definitely, I don't get why Nintendo won't make some other options!
He said HHachdi ruble it’s hd ruble
?
Battery drain? As if you're not using your Switch to charge the BB. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I have a Binbok controller. I dont like them. It didnt have a procon feel that I am seeking from these kind of controllers. The rumble and D pad are rubbish. The Hori Split Pad feels like they really pass the QC standards of Nintendo unlike the Binbok.
Ah I wouldn't class the BinBok or the Hori as a "procon", they're half the price of official Joy-Cons and the quality reflects that. I'd expect a pro variant to be more expensive than stock official ones, personally.
As I say in my dedicated review video of the BinBok Slim I agree the rumble isn't great and the D-pad is rubbish. The Hori d-pad is better but then it lacks so many features and almost the same price as the BinBok haha.
@@128KB Nah. It’s still the Hori for me. I will take the reliability of sticks and controls in Hori than the Binbok. The buttons, Dpad and sticks are shit in the Binbok (they are mushy, unlike the Hori which are clicky) and rumble is not HD. For me, it’s HD rumble or none at all. The gyro has less and no use to me so it’s not much of the loss, IMO. Finally, if I want wireless controllers, I’ll go for the procon or joycon instead.
@@allenanthonylarano8652 each to their own! My BinBok buttons are far more clicky than the Hori ones, Hori aren't clicky at all they're mushy with lots of travel. The d-pad is much better on the Hori though I agree.
@@allenanthonylarano8652 IMO I prefer the binbok due to always using switch and ps4 controllers, and the big versions are too much like Xbox controllers for me, and it feels like i cant use my thumbs well on them.
As long as they don't mess with the Switch itself Different shaped controllers are cool
Nah they're only controllers, they won't mess with the Switch like a 3rd party dock might :)
@@128KB Yea i remember hearing about that whole dock thing before[That was crazy]

OK
In USA Nintendo repairs your joycons for free 😂 cuz they got sued
Yeah I think that's in the UK now too
Ten minutes worth of information done in eighteen minutes, you repeat yourself too much. Write a script, stick to it.
How about, no?
@@128KB then you'll continue to be average to poor in conveying information won't ya.
This could have been half as long if you did just a little bit of prep and not just winging it. It was disorganized and you repeated yourself a lot.
It wasn't winged at all, I had notes on each point that I wanted to talk about and I covered them in each section. Scripting videos takes twice as long to create, record/edit, and doesn't come across as genuine. No one else has complained so I don't see the issue.
So basically everyone in the comments but you thought it was a good video and helpful. Which made me think shit if you can critique this! your channel must be brilliant. It was in that moment I realised your not qualified to critique.
