You can simulate objects moving through the joycons for example. The truth is most Switch games do not use this feature. They use traditional rumble most of the time (outside of 1st party games) which you would find on any standard controller.

And before that even happened, my L button ceased function completely for no reason, and of course, also suffered the blocked connection issue- meaning unless the Joycon has direct line of sight, it won't work. 3 things wrong with one controller, and yet the right side is totally fine.

I got the Binbok ones and I like them. I wanted replacements for my drifting joycons and a more conventional controller with a + shaped d-pad, so these saved me some money on a pro controller for a while. I made the stick lights blue and red to match the neon blue/neon red joycons.
i picked up the split pad pro a couple weeks ago specifically in anticipation for playing monster hunter rise in bed (and on the toilet) and while it lacks some fancy features, it's honestly stuff I personally don't miss, but i can understand if those are important to you! I personally think they work great and are super comfortable, and if you only need a bigger joy con for playing in portable mode, I'd say go for the Hori!
The split pad pro has a better analog stick and button placement. No grip can fix that. I personally use the new Skull & Co crystal grip when I need to use the Joy Cons in a game though.
Finally got around to getting some of those binbok controllers. Love em so far. Little more grip than the hori split pad and the lights a great little extra gimmick. Also got a “pro” controller bundled with it from them for an extra $10 which was totally worth it. It’s a solid controller and one of my favorite features is they both can wake the console unlike my 8bitdo controller.
Jude Harley I haven’t used them in a little while now but I have had zero issues with mine. They’ve been great so far. Considering official controllers from Nintendo are all riddled with issues themselves. I’d say these are well worth the risk. They seemed to have good customer service as well so I’m sure if you got a lemon or something they’d work with you to fix it. You’re essentially getting a better, more comfortable pair of joycons plus a pro controller for possibly even a little less than official joycons. Even if an issue develops you’ll already have a second controller to switch to if needed.
The main concern for the Joy Cons in my family is that they're super tiny. I'm really the only one in my family that's comfortable with the Joy Cons. The rest of my family however has huge hands, so it's super uncomfortable for them. These large Joy Cons could be a valuable answer to our dilemma.
I personally prefer the RGB ones. Because you have the two licensed options: - Pro Controller, for dock mode - HORI Joy-cons, for portable mode But these are like a two in one, i like it
These make me think; would be cool to see you look into accessories for the Switch that help make playability more accessible for those with physical handicaps or limitations
For anyone that's on the fence, just do it. They're incredible, had them for 2-weeks now and I just love them. Makes me Switch feel like a fat ass Gamegear and they're so comfortable, worth the buy 10-fold. Even rumble and gyro too.
I see these being SUPER nice to play once i can get back into coffee shops, or even playing in the park. Would be way more comfortable to hold, not have to worry about setting up a stand and bringing along a pro-controller if you want it to be comfortable. I love my switch, but if i'm playing for more than 20 minutes, my hands cramp up if i'm in portable mode. The Binbock seems to be the seller for me, solely for the gyro-controls. Shame Hori doesn't have that, I'd gladly pay the price of a pro-controller to have a Hori one with gyro-controls.
Heyy the one with the plastic sheet backing, connecting the whole thing into one piece isn’t dead weight. It makes the whole thing more stable than if it was just the joycon attachment because it enforces the weakest points of a switch: the controller connections.
@@joemomma91 I think between these 2 I would choose the pikachu ones since I dont need a controller for docked play since I have a pro. So split pad would be just for handheld. I can say that never in my life did i ever think id look forward to an ad but its almost becoming the highlight.
Wtf doesn’t Nintendo make their own official version of the Binbok controller? Does Nintendo not want money.🤦🏾♂️
There are so many things fans have begged for that would make Nintendo a lot of money. I'm starting to think they don't want it.
@@kikij_7995 ikr. They have so much that they could do that Nintendo fans would turn their pockets inside out for so many things. So frustrating.😒
@Nobody comments are not funny you troglodyte
It doesn't work docked tho
@@manuelredgrave8348 Uh... 4:36 literally shows the Switch in the dock with the Hori Split Pad attached.
@@War624 you can't use it when the console is attached to the dock but the controllers aren't. Of course it charges in it....
I ordered the binbok largely because of this video, it arrives on Wednesday and I can't wait to try it.
D-Pad stopped working properly, currently trying to fix it.
I got the Binbok ones and I like them. I wanted replacements for my drifting joycons and a more conventional controller with a + shaped d-pad, so these saved me some money on a pro controller for a while. I made the stick lights blue and red to match the neon blue/neon red joycons.
How are those Binboks holding up? I got mine recently but I been paranoid about them breaking down.
The binbok set actually looks like the best option for me. Just hope I actually get a good set...
i picked up the split pad pro a couple weeks ago specifically in anticipation for playing monster hunter rise in bed (and on the toilet) and while it lacks some fancy features, it's honestly stuff I personally don't miss, but i can understand if those are important to you! I personally think they work great and are super comfortable, and if you only need a bigger joy con for playing in portable mode, I'd say go for the Hori!
They still work fine? I know i am a bit late hahaha
Everything from hollowknight to doom. Love the binbak joycons
I have a hori pad pro but never used since getting the statisfye grip. I feel that's the better purchase
They're cool but they blemish the finish of your joycons or switch lite
@@GuyOnTheInternet53 the satisfye grip?
The split pad pro has a better analog stick and button placement. No grip can fix that. I personally use the new Skull & Co crystal grip when I need to use the Joy Cons in a game though.
I was expecting the satisfye grip to make an appearance. Mr. Bob never talks about it. *wink*
The satisfye grip requires your joycons, and we all know that joycon drift is still an issue
I mainly play in docked mode because I have big hands, this video gave me hope to relive my gameboy days
ok so imagine joycons but morbidly obese and they actually work
Wulff dens vids are getting better every time!
How are those binbok controllers holding up? I heard about some downsides about them and I was wondering if they are common.
Can you turn the RBG completely off on these controllers? They look exactly like what I want but I don’t care for the lights.
Yarn_dat_jezza _ I’m not sure. I like the lights so I never tried and it’s been a while since I messed with or looked at the settings.
I feel like the Dobe one would save the Switch's rails and body from fall damage
The main concern for the Joy Cons in my family is that they're super tiny. I'm really the only one in my family that's comfortable with the Joy Cons. The rest of my family however has huge hands, so it's super uncomfortable for them. These large Joy Cons could be a valuable answer to our dilemma.
Kevin hella undersold how funny your Binbok vid would be
I just wanna say, Stardew valley has great HD rumble
HD rumble is a pointless gimmick tbh
Hd rumble is surround sound for the controller, I wouldn’t call it a gimmick.
@@alexj848 Its just an overrated vibration that is OVERLY loud.
I love your sponsorship videos. So much.
Last time I was this early, the Wii U was a success
Was the last time in an alternate reality?
@@Thunderbolt5827 exactly
Binboks have an updated version with a far better d-pad for anyone on the fence, definitely worth the purchase
where ?
@@SakReliGious You can get it on their official website, pretty sure they got a restock on amazon recently too
@@TopazBeast thanks i found them on amazon i hope its worth the price
@@SakReliGious I've really been enjoying my pair, far more comfortable than the original joycons in my opinion
@@TopazBeast i ordered the skull and co crystal grip as well do u think the binbok is better than the skull and co grip?
I personally prefer the RGB ones. Because you have the two licensed options:
- Pro Controller, for dock mode
- HORI Joy-cons, for portable mode
But these are like a two in one, i like it
I love the light around the joycons!
"Sure it feels fine to play like this"
MY TENDONITIS SAYS OTHERWISE
Dude, I love your channel. #1 spot for gaming hardware info
The binbok link doesn't work :(
These make me think; would be cool to see you look into accessories for the Switch that help make playability more accessible for those with physical handicaps or limitations
“Quality assurance Nintendo has”
I’m looking for something that doesn’t fucking drift. lol
Bob you are a god of ads. Top tier content
THe creepy anemia dude ALSO had peepee poopoo open in another tab, he's plagiarising!
Another good option is to get a grip to attach to your Switch, I like the ones from Satisfye and their "ZenGrip Pro" is only about 25 dollars.
Kevin told us Bob was working on this video.
Loving the Awesome Screenplay Bob!
The Binbok one says it’s unavailable 😭
Yeah, I bet they sold out after this
I don't even play my switch anymore, I'm just here for the great production quality
Im disappointed that Nintendo would let a company produce them without the motion and vibration.
That's not their responsibility
Cease and desist
1:27 I'm gonna use ExpressVPN just for this impressive acting
For anyone that's on the fence, just do it. They're incredible, had them for 2-weeks now and I just love them. Makes me Switch feel like a fat ass Gamegear and they're so comfortable, worth the buy 10-fold. Even rumble and gyro too.
Yup just do it
Man when you said “mech people really tried to love that game” ......I felt that 😩
I see these being SUPER nice to play once i can get back into coffee shops, or even playing in the park.
Watching this at 2am when I was tired and slap-happy was such a funny and extremely entertaining video.
No one:
Wulff: I WILL DROP THIS SWITCH SO HELP ME
;-;
Thanks bob!
I was searching a review of the variuous type of joycons to see which joycons buy.
This basically makes the switch like the Steam Deck in ergonomics and size
I don't have friends, so I went with the Hori Split Pad Pro!
Did he just say "quality assurance" in regards to Nintendo Joy-Cons? Laughable!
10:35 This hurts my mind...
I'll probably be trying my luck with the binbok
Ahhh, but they're unavailable...
10:30 I definitely had a bit of a heart attack here
Heyy the one with the plastic sheet backing, connecting the whole thing into one piece isn’t dead weight. It makes the whole thing more stable than if it was just the joycon attachment because it enforces the weakest points of a switch: the controller connections.
If Bob ran a video game store, I'd be a regular customer. Or just bumping into him to shoot the breeze for a few minutes would be cool as well
If HORI just made an offical "adaptor" to buy for the Split Pad Pro to make it into a traditional controller to use while in docked mode would be nice
I was waiting for someone to make a wireless counterpart to the splitpad pro. Finally!
The split pad pro is only meant for handheld play.
Never wired.
Pro controller is for wireless play. Get that
@@InnerRise
You cannot use the pro controller in handheld mode making a "wireless splitpad pro" the best of both worlds
@@joemomma91
I think between these 2 I would choose the pikachu ones since I dont need a controller for docked play since I have a pro.
So split pad would be just for handheld.
Kevin said the boinks dont feel as good and the dpad is bad and buttons clicky. I would also it drains battery faster.
I've also never played in docked.
I'm also still using regular joycons and they work good enough.
Keep up the good work on that Awesome Screenplay!
I really like how the Kinvoco raises the view of the screen. Wish the rest of them had this feature
I need something like this for my big beefy hands. Thanks much for this video! Very helpful indeed!
Sometimes, I just don't care about the content of the video. The voice is nice, podcast radio like.
Thanks
