- Better ergonomic grip, 2 remappable rear buttons, turbo function, customizable RGB, bigger face buttons, triggers, and bumpers, and far better thumb sticks, for $30 cheaper than licensed Nintendo joycons. There are a couple of downsides I will mention in this video, but still a far better option for playing your Switch or Switch OLED on the go.

I got these joycons last November, and I absolutely love them. One thing to note is that I've heard that quality control might not be very strict. I haven't had problems so far, and I'm extremely glad with the purchase

I have these NYXI in black and been using them for 2 months now. Great option and can't play without them. If you're looking for a carry case for them then the best I've found is the ButterFox large carry case. Will work with Nintendo Switch OLED. Awesome video and keep up the good work 😎👍.

They are also labeled and sold as "binbok" controller and come in 3 colors (standard blue and red switch color, black and animal crossing blue and green...which i own). Also look at the "dobe" controller grip which is good. Own both.

I definitely need to try these types because the standard joycons are just too small for my hands. Playing Splatoon with motion controls would be so much better with a larger joycon and these just might be the ones

I bought this like 5 days ago and it even came with a deal for the controller and a case for it so I went for that. Just waitin for it to get here and im super excited! The controllers for the switch are literally my only gripe with the console cause im an Xbox kid at heart and the cramped buttons inches above the camera joystick is the most annoying thing for me so im excited for this controller to get here! Was even happier that it has a case to go with it~

DUDE!!! AWESOME SAUCE MAN! Thank you man, I've been waiting for this exact thing because the HORI version doesn't have rumbles, and I love rumbles. Oh, by the way, I do have another version made by NEXIGO, and it does the same thing as far as remappable buttons on the rear, you can only remap right side to right side, left side to left side. I think it must not be possible technically to make it be able to remap all to any button. Probably because the Nintendo software makes them able to be 2 separate controllers on the normal JoyCons (just an educated guess) and the aftermarket companies probably can't decode it or don't have permissions to. I ordered one, thanks for the discount!!

The two halves do not share any electrical circuitry because, well, they're split in half and the controllers do not communicate to each other, only to the console. When you press a button on one half, the other half has no idea a button is pressed. That is why you can only remap left side commands to right side button press, or vice versa through software right now. Remapping buttons on the same side is easy since they are on the same circuit board. Maybe somebody will make a controller that communicates to the other half as well.

Are there any controllers that allow button mapping across joycons? It seems like a technical limitation and not a fair critique
Please do deadzone tests, not only in the middle, but also at the sides. Like 90% of these controller review video's don't do this important test that many many will be asking for that means go or no go.

Got the Binbok versions for my switch a few years ago and use it more than my regular joycons. Nintendo should make a first party set for larger hand sizes since Binbok and all the clones are fairly cheap plastic.
The hori split pad is basically they already, officially licensed by Nintendo

Having owned 2 pairs of these, they are great though after around 6 months the sticks start playing up. If only the hori ones included rumble.
I use the Hori but it scratches my switch….
Technically speaking you could have buttons on the right like A and B mapped to the left joycon.
The Switch itself allows for button mapping so you could remap A to one of the d-pad buttons and then map that button to the back left button.
I will be making a small video addressing this method you are mentioning. It’s not perfect , but yes that works potentially

Usable but not great, same can be said about the standard joycons though. The fact that it uses a d-pad instead of the four buttons the left joycon has would be an issue too.

If you're only doing wired play, Hori's are fine, but if you want the benefits of them being JoyCons, skip Hori's.

I bought these for my switch, worked great for 2 weeks, then the right joycon wouldn't connect. Their customer support isn't good at all. End up switching out with Amazon they came broken had to take 2 and make 1 finally got it working. When they work, they are great. Their customer service isn't good at all.

Bind whatever right side face button you want to the screenshot button on the left side joycon inside the controller settings on the nintendo switch. Bind your back button to your screenshot button then viola ! Thank me later
Just a warning for these, I bought these and the dpad sucks for diagonals. I ended up with the hori pad plus and have no complaints. However if dpads dont matter then I would say get em.

If you're willing to open them up there's these weird plastic stickers that can be removed to make it work better. Spawn wave's video on these shows them.
Recently bought these and noticed just my down-right diagonal wasn't sensitive enough,so opened up the joycon, and applied a thin piece of clear plastic tape to the down and right parts of the dpad and has been working perfectly since then. 100% accuracy now. Give it a try of you feel confident enough.
You didn't try them wireless without the center connector....there are those of us that need to use them separate so they can be held apart due to arm or shoulder issues and I need to know if they will work that way. So next time maybe just try holding one in each hand without using the connector and see if they work.
Unfortunately all these 3rd party controllers have huge dead zones. I have tried quite a few including these (binbok label) and I find them cheap feeling and the dead zones make gaming annoying and I don’t even play shooters. I now use the skull and co neo grip and it’s night and day better

That's not true. Many do, but not all. And nowadays (not so much a year ago when you commented), Hall joystick modules are becoming the norm for third party controllers.
They don't have NFC / Amiibo functionality. So, regardless of similarities or superior features, they're not 1:1 with Switch controllers.

These are cheap for a reason. They are branded under numerous company names and drop shipped from some Far East company that makes them cheaply. Don’t expect more than a few months of use out of these. On paper and initially, they are great.
