    This will add NVH. Wheel hop is greatly improved, also amazing how it changes shifting. No longer do you have to feather into gear to avoid clunking. But the vibration at slow take offs make this a give and take mod. The improvement in shift quality for me out weighs the vibration. I was thinking about drilling out maybe 2 - 4 of the holes to soften the mount just a little...

    Just installed this on my 2016 FoST and it really makes a huge difference. Shifts are smoother and the slop is gone when leaving from a stop. Feels like a different car.

      @@ADDwithJTC yeah, slightly. Normal driving was like normal. Over time it did subside, and it was much nicer to drive. The only thing that annoyed me was when I turned the car on, it vibrated loads until the untill the revs settled.

    How does the rear motor mount bracket come off? I move it around in every direction and I can't get it off. Yours the falls off.

    So one of my friends thought that the downpipe nuts were supposed to be torqued down and snapped one of them off. Is that bad that I only have one bolt there now?

    That bracket… Couldn’t get them out for squat in my 14’. 🤷‍♂️

    Great vid for prepping how to do it, notice you didn't show how to torque the rear 15mm stud, it's a pig, I couldn't get a ratchet near it let alone a torque wrench.

    I lost the oem bolt you unscrew @ 3:52 any chance you can tell me the size so I can buy a replacement? (I reinstalled the stock mount) It's the only ford oem parts screw that's not listed unfortunately. I would really appreciate this as the screw I have in there now is too short and makes me nervous it's going to snap.

    This makes just such a difference in your ST you will not believe it. You can pick up the Ford electric mount for $50.00 bucks. It works Great also! This is a MUST DO UPGRADE IF YOU HAVE A 2013-1st QTR 2014 ST. No more wheel hop, no more horrible smashing noise of the engine trying to jump out of the engine bay!

      I have a 16 FoST. I believe it comes with the electric mount, do you know if thats correct?

    I can't get that last bolt that holds the arm in place loose. Its the one up and in back. Hard to get at. Not the one on bottom inside near main bottom mountbolt.

      same here been cranking at it for nearly 30 mins. sprayed wd40 got a bigger ratchet, tried an impact seems impossible.

    Did you support the engine while you did this? Or is not necessary?

      There are two side mounts that support the engine. It will rock front to back a little but its safe.

      probably so it doesnt come loose by vibrations

    About how long does this process take if I'm using a lift? Just for the rear mount.

      clayton requet with a lift you should have no problem getting in done in an hour or less

    I was shocked at how much vibration there is at idle, 800rpm. I'm just wondering what's coming loose given how much vibration there is. It's just fine down the road, but waiting at a stop light there's just too much plastic in car to not rattle because of it.

    Installed one of these on my '16 FoST a few months ago. Definitely a noticeable decline in torque steer, but the additional NVH almost makes it not worth it. After months my car still shakes at idle. I thought it would settle in a soften some but it hasn't.

      Was about to go install mine right now 17 ST. Vibration at idle that bad? I saw someone else mention it but didn't say almost makes it not worth it. Scaring me.

      There is many different rmm from different companies, some have different bushings.. I have a softer one from whoosh and I get only a slight amount of vibration at idle but it feels like it's supposed to be there. This cobb rmm might have a more ridgid bushing then some others .

      Yes, but it is quite cramped and those two metal brackets are a PITA to remove AND install.

      Hell i did it in about an hour but yes it is a bitch there are two screws that are a pain but the rest is easy.

      If you want a RMM for your SE check out AWR mounts they make one specifically fit the SE. Although I don't know why you'd want one for an SE...

    How would you get a stripped bolt out of the torque dampener

      I haven't had to do that but I would assume you could remove it, drill it out, and helicoil it.

    I can’t remove the stud at 5:09. Too tight. Any other tools than a wrench. Can’t remove it with ratchet. Not enough space

    Kind of stupid that Ford's stock mount is so bad that there is a noticeable difference in installing an aftermarket one. Of all the parts that should give a noticeable feeling when upgraded, a motor mount shouldn't be one of them.

      Ford even upgraded the original mounts to the E Focus which is better but there is still room for improvement.

      It makes sense they didn't use a super stiff mount but on the St it shouldn't be so soft that a part like this has become so popular.

      Exactly. I have a Focus SE with 26k miles on it and the rear motor mount is pretty much shot.
