These spark plugs feature fine iridium tip that has high durability and a consistently stable spark, an extremely high melting point, trivalent metal plating, superior anti-corrosion, and anti-seizing properties, outstanding acceleration, high fuel efficiency and durability, ultimate design, technology and performance, and the heat range is 1 colder than factory plugs
NGK spark plugs are known for their numerous contributions to the spark plug market, including the development of copper core spark plugs, new ceramic technology and the development of iridium spark plugs like these. Just a few things this video misses, don't add any anti-seize to any spark plug. Also the torque spec straight from AllData is 12nm or 8.8 ft-lb
Didn't use a torque wrench for the plugs. They have a specified torque and should be tightened to that. If you under tighten them or over tighten it can cause problems. Also no anti seize on NGK plugs. They specifically advise against it
Tech Metal exactly what I was going to say
This comment will save your life, folks.
What's the torque spec?
Tech Metal what are the torque settings
good old youtube know it alls why do you guys even watch these videos?
Nice. Skipped gapping plugs. Thanks for everything else.
Wait. I thought the gap it's supposed to be between .025 and .027
I was told by 10/10 people in the forums..
Is that the stock gap Im so confuse??
if tuned, yes .26
Does the Performance iridium plugs improve performance for corvette c6 2006 it have intake only ?
What year is this car? I like the piece that keep the hood up. Is that aftermarket? I just have a a bar that goes up.
do those have the part of the terminal that unscrews?
Please!!! Make a video of a turbo upgrade!!
I just had cylinder 1 go I my 2014 st. should have upgraded sooner. but I will once I get a new motor that's for sure
If it works to install this in my car?
What does this dyno at?
Hello i drive a ford figo 1.4I its got and bramch with a free flow stainless steel exhaust system, can I install these iridium plugs in my car or which once must I get for performance
What is the gap measurement for a 2013 ford focus se. Thanks
Do these work on the 18 focus st it says in the description for 2013-2017
Yes 2013-2018 ST's are all the same mechanically. 15+ just got a face-lift
I have a stage 1 st and wanted to add these plugs with the cold air intake. Would this be an appropriate upgrade? I'm past 30k miles and want to redo the plugs anyway by 50k miles
brett3140 These are aimed more at cars with higher boost levels but will work fine with basic bolt ons as well.
jorge I gapped mine at 26 per strafied and it's been great
I’ve done my plugs, NGK every time, and used never squeeze on one set and without on the next. Neither set of plugs gave me trouble or misfires, neither made any noticeable difference. And when I use anti-seize on plugs, (used to be a fleet mechanic), I use a tiny amount …”a tiny gob will do ya, a big gob will screw ya.”
Some ford vehicles call for it, some don’t. If I’m doing a vehicle under warranty, it always got what ford recommended. If it was a customer, I used a cunt hair of never squeeze. Never caused me any problems.
could mount on focus st 2015 stock with exhaust intake and downpipe
Yes they will work.
Sorry, but I can not hear what did you said at 2:36 what's the name of that tube (what is inside it)?
Antiseize
+Mladen H You don't need, and shouldn't use anti seize with NGK plugs...they actually advise against it.
+Mladen H What should be used is a proper torque wrench for the plugs, and NEVER antiseize!
I’ve read you need to do a tune with these one step colder spark plugs? Others say there’s no need to do a tune..
Did you ever find out bro?
Im stuck with the same question😢
@EmZi-_- You only use the step colder if you're tuned. If stock go with motorcraft.
What’s the part #
Would you use these on a stock turbo 2013 Focus ST?
Depends on tune and setup but yes you could.
@@cjponyparts whats the stock 2013 focus ST spark plug for bone stock? And spec gape?
.030-.032 that's a large gap. I was under the impression .025-.026" is the target for a FOST running higher boost?
Yes, it all depends on your tune... ask your tuner. I am JSTuned and Bryan recommends .026
even other tunes i see recommend .026
I was told the same I was just gonna go down the middle and gap mine at. .028. I'm fbo and tuned.
..028 is what the was told
@@dennismerson3811 I second this comment. I was told by Randy from Mountune it's .028
did you run that iridium tip on a gapping tool?
No just use the tool to check the gap after it was adjusted.
wait.... why are you using these instead of silver? Silver is a better heat transfer.
Are these the 6510's?
I think so man
Yes
had bad experiences with iridium plugs so always use the platinums
Warwick Dean
- Even without knowing the details of your experience. This might be worth a second thought...Particularly because it's way too common nowadays. :-(
ua-cam.com/video/Lr9J3eQk-kE/v-deo.html
Don't listen to him guys
Can i use these NGK on stock engine?
No unless your running a tune there 1 step colder
@@chriswild8585 thanks for the reply. No my engine is stock, which spark plugs do you recommend?
Ive ask about spark plugs aswell i was told if its stock stick with oem plugs if your tuned car can run hotter and pre ignite plug before spark plugs fire thats why you have to go 1 step colder m8 what i was told if your unsure ask a tuning garage m8
Or u tube. wjm automotive
Turbo upgrade
Guys, just stick with genuine Motorcraft spark plugs made for your motor. Do not apply any anti-seize, it will affect the torque settings. Always follow the recommended torque specs for your motor and year model. I do not recommend waiting until 100k miles to change them--go ahead and replace them at 75k to 80k miles. Do this and you won't have any problems.
Anti-Seize - No Bueno!
Scott Galbreath yes you mentioned that 7 months ago too :). They recommend not using it since the plugs are coated and it isn’t necessary. While I would like to trust this I have personally seen way too many plugs get stuck in heads. It won’t hurt anything as long as you don’t use too much and don’t over tighten.
Watched this just to see tips for taking out the old plugs and you completely skipped over that part, also didn’t torque them down!!!
you unscrew it lmao helmet
Don’t use Anti Seize on NGK plugs!!!! And Torque down the plugs to 13 foot pounds!
Thank you for that crucial information!
