Dr. Jamnadas is hands down one of the best if not the best medical communicator about human health on UA-cam ....His knowledge is unparalleled and his motives are pure ....I always tell people about this channel and the leading points are that he is an MD and he is NOT SELLING ANYTHING in a bottle to make a buck other than advertising his private practice ....Take notes and spread the word .... Happy holidays to him and to all ....

I ate very healthily on Christmas Day - homemade salmon, vegetables, yoghurt ( with added kefir), but then , at around 11pm indulged in 10. Linder chocolate balls. Really annoyed with myself , but had to remind myself it was Christmas Day. Am fasting today, zero food , and walking lots.

India, don't beat yourself up. Just get back on your diet, and you will be 🙂 fine. I did a little cheating myself over the holidays. Our church had a appreciation dinner/party. I did not eat dinner before, so I was starving, and ate a few foods, that I should not have eaten. I even had a spoonful of chocolate cake. We all do it, but if we can jump right back to our healthy lifestyle, we should continue on the right path to good health. God bless you on your health journey. 🙏 ❤️

@@thereshopeforallofus2487 At 61 I weighed 375 lbs (6 feet 4 inches). I was taking several medications. I first watched "The Bittersweet Truth" & "Fasting for Survival" by Dr J at the Galen Foundation.
I found videos by the following doctors on UA-cam:
      Dr Eric Berg
      Dr Sren Ekberg
      Dr Pradip Jamnadas
Dr Jason Fung (author of The Complete Guide to Fasting)
I started eating a strict keto diet. I had cut out all sugar. I began to eat less often, eventually getting down to a large meal once a day. I lost 15 pounds a month for the first year. My doctors took me off the medications, because I no longer needed them. I'm near my goal weight and doing prolonged fasting. Educate yourself about keto, insulin resistance, and reversing diabetes. I am not vegan if that means anything to anyone. You can do this. It costs nothing and it's really fun to put on clothes you haven't worn since you were in your 20s.

I agree! I only eat breakfast, then what I call lunch/dinner at about 2:00pm. I find that going to bed on a pretty empty stomach helps me to sleep better AND the roughly 17 hour intermittent fast every day really helps with my weight loss.
Before I started on my weight loss journey 3 months ago, I ate a LOT of sugar, not to mention drank about 200 grams of soda a day, beginning at breakfast. Now, the soda and all but 24 grams of sugar a day is gone. I think the 17 hour fast really helps with killing the legions of bad bacteria in my gut.

I'm so thankful that I found your channel! What you speak about just makes sense, I have implemented a lot of what you speak on. I was very concerned about the swelling in my legs and ankles. The swelling was so bad that when my primary saw the pic I sent her she told me to get to the ER ASAP. The ER assessed and said everything looked ok but referred me to a Cardiologist just for safety precautions. Did a stress test that was fine, BP was a little high, which is not normal for me as my BP numbers have alway been low I'm talking 118/75 range. Cardiologist told me to get BP down and come back to see him in 6 month, sent me home- no real solution. Mind you, I was a vegan at the time! I thought you know what- this plant based meat along with all these other proccessed so called healthier items are trying to take me out, Its just not healthy and not made of the nutrients I need. I was also working remote and packing on the pounds from not moving a lot. This was in May 2021. I began my quest and eliminated the plant based meats and packaged items from my diet and started moving more due to a change in career. This helped with some of the issues, BP came down and swelling came down some but would fluctuate, .I kept saying to myself "this is just not normal "what it going on! Fast forward to June 2022 and BOOM, found your video about what causes high insulin levels and the symptoms. I was like this is it!!!! My insulin was way to high. I tweaked my diet some more and also stopped with the eating 5 small males a day theory which was also contributing to spiked insulin due to not giving my system a break from taking in food. I am happy to say the swelling is gone and I got rid of over 50 pounds! Thanks Doc! Hope you have a Very Merry Christmas and looking forward to viewing your upcoming videos in the New Year!

I've been watching your videos for 2 days, after many years watching Eric Berg and others. I have to say yours are far better than anything else on YT.
Some of the reasons I find you better are: You're a genuine medical Dr, not a chiropractor with a PhD. You practise what you preach, you look and sound healthy. You are old school with borh academic and practical knowledge of medicine. You explain depth and breadth of the subject. You are doing this with a sincere heart, the money isn't bad but not the only motivation.
You've given me better understanding of our complex bodies. To know what to change, the motivation to do so and exactly how to go about it. I appreciate the pieces on food addiction and why diets don't work. Whole foods and fasting is the way forward.

As always, GREAT advise. I would also like to mention the reason we have the flu and colds this time of year is because our plant life goes dormant. It doesn't produce as much oxygen and is not absorbing as much carbon dioxide from us. I hope you have indoor plants. If you have a greenhouse, I hope you have plants in it. I would put up a reading area the greenhouse and work in it!! Spend many hours in there. It's a tranquil spot. Merry Christmas eveyone!!

I need to add while your in the greenhouse, you should be following Dr. Jamnadas if you don't have anything good to read & if you would like to learn about your health!!

This guy is the real deal. I'm not fat, but I've had high blood pressure for maybe 20 years now. I couldn't seem to understand why or make any difference. Following Dr. Jamnadas advice I believe I've finally found the answer. My diet was pretty diverse and ate plenty of veggies and healthy stuff but I didn't skip on bread and pasta and was still eating sugar (albeit limited sugar), I was also drinking 2 beers a day for many years. I've been using his advice for only a few days now but my headaches are gone, I feel better and I pretty much guarantee in a few months my high blood pressure will be gone.... As far as I'm concerned Dr Jamnadas saved my life.

THANK YOU DR. PRADIP for this balanced encoragement. I am OMW to a Christmas dinner, but also prepping a large salad and green smoothie to take with me. I also made sugar free raw desserts. So while I will partake a little, I will also have my healthy foods to supplement with. Then I will begin a 3-5 day EF in the new year to reset. We don't have to avoid everything during the holidays as long as our lifestyle is full of nutrients. Merry Christmas! 🎄

Thanks, Doc! You mention sleep. If I eat carbs in the evening, I sleep through the night, but when I fast after supper, I wake up at 4AM every time & can't go back to sleep. Another low carb friend told me that's because cortisol is going high due to low glucose or insulin. Please talk more about how to eat for good sleep & still avoid evening snacks. Or is this just part of withdrawal? I can't function without more sleep; I seem to need more carbs to get me there. I'm not diabetic and try to keep my carbs to 60g or less/day but sleep better with at least 100g/day. I only need to lose 10-15 lbs but need to keep carbs low or I don't lose an ounce!

I was unable to walk, with full body arthritis and Fasting in just 3 WEEKS with reduced sugar, carbs, seed oils etc brought me back to 95% good from a dismal 20%. From there I'm addicted to Fasting+ as it strides forward my daily health.

Just found your amazing informative videos. For the first time I understand what is being explained because you understand your audience (who is actually watching). You make it simple to comprehend any subject you speak on. Its like any question I would have wanted to ask- you already address it!!! I know you do mostly cardio related videos but wish you had one on low platelets. If only I could find a doctor who could speak on that like you and explain it and what can be done. Why is it so hard to find great knowledgeable doctors? Been searching online for any kind of information and thats how I found these videos. All of videos can be applied to my lifestyle and diet. Thank you
